This is a follow up to the review I posted earlier regarding my Accent and the bad brakes etc.... After I posted the review. ... the manager contacted me to see if they could make things right by me and to take down my poor review. My brother took all the paperwork about including receipts for the brake job and belts ... etc. to them on Christmas Eve. They asked why we didn't use their service center. I explained that two times their service center had said the brakes were good when indeed they were not. They took the paperwork... said they would call when the check was ready to reimburse me for the brake job... no call, no check..... Ugggh. I wish I could say shopping for a used car has been a stellar experience, but it's been anything but that, and mainly because of crappy dealerships like First National. We were in contact w a salesman about an Audi showing on their online inventory, and we arranged to come down from Snohomish that evening after work. We showed up and the salesman was too busy to talk to us, and the Audi turned out to not even be available, as it was in the shop. Sorry to say the only good customer service was from the finance guy in the back that has you sign all the paperwork after you have already been for a less offensive word, suckered by the sales personnel. (Katim Ali and Manager Terrill) I was never informed about the Military discount and I was never called back by the Manager Terrill who said he would be working on getting me a better deal meaning lower downpayment and monthly payment. And to slap me in the face again when I called him a week later he wasn't even prepared which means he wasn't trying to help me at all. My deal started with Katim and after the test drive I of course loved the vehicle and wanted to move forward long story short he told me the same thing but hadn't locked in the terms previously discussed. He initially is the one who stated he could lower the down payment of $5000 and my monthly payment including lowering their fees etc.. Which of course he couldn't and when I began to ask questions and state I would not be able to pay that or commit to that monthly payment he began stumbling over his words next thing you know I then got passed on to a so called Manager. (Terrill) This is when the bigger games began and he promised the same thing told me he would call me by that Wednesday it came and went. Long story short as it has been about a month I've paid $3750 and still can not bring the vehicle home until I pay at least another $250 of the $1250 remaining balance and yes not only did he have poor customer service and blatantly not trying to help me at all the down payment never went down it went up to $5108 and the payment went down some and went back up before I signed on the dotted line. (it was closer to what I wanted but was not what I was told when I agreed to move forward). He was no help what so ever. And I still feel taken advantage of, betrayed and violated. I excepted it due to my credit however it really hurts. I had similar credit, bought a brand new Chevy Tahoe years ago with $1,000 down so I feel like this must be some Seattle tactics and pure game because I am a female and can not wait for the day to trade up from this vehicle and take my business elsewhere. They supposedly offer "incentives" for referrals who knows if it is true or not however I work for a huge government entity and will make sure no-one I know would ever do business here no matter how desperate they may feel they are. Will refinance asap and trade in. Worst customer service received to date since moving to Seattle last year thanks Terrill. **BUYERS BEWARE** This place is terrible. Came up here to buy myself a new car for Christmas. First salesman gave me the run around ALL DAY showing me all the cars except the ones I wanted to see. When I got fed up and decided to leave, they actually sent me a decent salesman, who in 20 minutes found me exactly what I wanted.... thanks James (you get 4 stars). I signed all the paperwork and was on my way. I scheduled the remainder of my down payment in two payments. Neither payment came out on their agreed upon day. I called, no response. A few days after the scheduled payments however, they did pull the full down payment from my account all at once, destroying my checking account. I called, was told someone would call me back, no call. When my temporary plates were a few days from expiring, I called again because they were supposed to call me when my plates came in. I again was told someone would call me back... no call. Called the next day, spoke with someone from the business office this time. She told me that my down payment charges had declined (not possible, and my bank shows no such attempted transactions) and so they decided to take it all at once... this is illegal and doesn't not follow the payment agreement i signed (I'm a Finance Director... I know these things). Thenand that someone would call me back about my plates. No one called. I called again the next day.... got the runaround again, and again was told someone would call me back. NO ONE CALLED... my temporary plates expire TODAY. THESE GUYS ARE THR WORST! **UPDATE** Was called and told to come up to the dealership the day after my temporary plates expired. I was informed that the vehicle they sold me was an item of contention in a divorce settlement, where one party sold the vehicle without the other party signing off on it. The party awarded the vehicle in the divorce wanted the vehicle back, even though it had already been sold 3 times! HOW DOES THIS EVEN HAPPEN?! So I was told I MIGHT get to keep the vehicle I have already paid for, assuming someone in Oregon decides to sign some paperwork. GREAT While I was waiting for all this to get figured out, I did a little research on this dealership, and not only do they have horrendous ratings across the board, they had an F rating with the BBB for so long they are now revoked from the Better Business Bureau. Believe the reviews of others on this page. I could have written any one of the one star reviews. This was by far the most devastating experience ever. If your credit isn't the best and they claim they can work with you, don't believe them. They will gouge the price of the car and get you the highest interest rate out there. Tyrrell lied to me multiple times. Went in to buy a certain car that was sold outright. It is true that Tyrrell would wander around ignoring me. At one time I was so frustrated I was crying in the waiting area. Other times I would call to talk with Tyrrell and they would claim he was out of town. I drove by and he was sitting at his desk. The car I ended up buying under duress because my mother was dying and I needed a reliable car to get to her. The car I drove off the lot was a joke. Within one day I knew I was scammed. The car had multiple problems. I kept taking it back. They gave the car an oil change. They claimed that Honda's make the noise I was hearing in the car. I was persistent and they played the avoid my call game. Eventually the car broke down, had it towed to 1st National where it sat for two weeks and they would not offer a loaner. Finally had the car towed to my personal auto repair where I put $4000 into fixing this piece of junk. The engine was toast. The timing chain was broke among other things. Of course the warranty 1st National claimed to give wasn't honored because it "wasn't an engine problem." They kept delaying and claimed nothing was wrong with the car. At one time Tyrrell muttered "oh, f***" under his breath when he mistakenly answered my call. WARNING: DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CLOWNS. THEY ARE RIP-OFF ARTISTS. TOTALLY UNETHICAL, UNPROFESSIONAL, SCAM ARTISTS. UNLESS, OF COURSE YOU HAVE LOTS OF MONEY TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THEM. PS: One of the more minor lies was new floor mats in the sale of the car. When we were discussing buying a car our sales rep kept randomly getting up and walking away from us to wonder around and talk to anyone he could but us his customers. When we told him we were going to buy the car with cash the next day he said he would have it detailed and ready for us. The next day we sorento the entire day calling and no one would return our phone calls. We asked to speak to a manager, we got a voice mail that was never responded to. After much digging around we learned the car had been sent to another location. Again no one from 1st national (even the manager) would bother to speak to us. It was by far the worst purchasing experience of my life. If 1st national had the last car on earth I would walk my fat butt around forever. In the beginning everything was great. They were very nice very personable, offered to help us out in any way they could to get us into a car because ours had broken down and then it went downhill from there. they didn't write the temp plate for long enough (only 30 days from the date of sale not even the date of possession when it's supposed to be 60) and it expired before I got the regular plates and ended up receiving a ticket for driving while on this expired temp plates because they refused to extend out the temporary plate (actually told me they couldn't do it and when I went to the DMV to figure out my options the DMV said that they are the only ones who could extend it out) they told us they could waive the down payment and then said waiving means having to pay it later which isn't true just a bunch of run around BS. Now they're trying to hold my permanent plates hostage until they can get a card number for the down payment when I told them that it would have to wait until tax return came in all in all s***** experience I wouldn't go. read more

I specifically told them what I wanted in a car, options. I found a car and bought it not knowing I didn't get what I wanted. It's less than a week since I got it, my main goal in getting a car was to get blind spot, keyless entry, heated seats. I was told in writing it at least had the first two. I should have checked and not believed them. I asked them if there was a way to exchange, not even a "let me see what I can do". Gokul called me and told me I was on my own, and hung up on me. I originally thought he was a nice guy. I'm not some kid, I'm a grown woman and expect some respect. I have bad credit I know that, so I had to put a lot of money down. THEY CLEAR FAULT CODES! be careful, day after I bought check engine light came on. Ended up being an evap fault, nothing big, but definitely not a unfortunate coincidence. After a good diag, the particular FC happens after another one has been active for awhile, causing progressive damage. Just be careful, kind of a shady trick, luckily for me it was not a big problem, but maybe your cleared fault will be. Won't go back or recommend to anyone. read more

A week ago we contacted First National Autos to inquire about a Honda Fit listed for sale on their website. When we called, they said that it was actually at their Everett location, but that they had another Honda Fit at their Seattle dealership that we could look at. We made an appointment and drove down. We show up and the salesman looked at the computer and made a couple phone calls, and then said that unfortunately the Fit in question was actually in Tacoma. What?? What kind of terrible inventory management system doesn't accurately track the location of your vehicles, especially if you have multiple locations? The salesman said we could go look at the Fit we were originally interested in, in Everett, but we decided against it because we could not trust that it was even there at all. We did not want to waste our time any further driving around to look at cars that may or may not be where they were claimed to be. We left and went to look at a Fit at another dealership, which I might add was actually where they said it would be, and we ended up purchasing that one. However, over the past week my husband has been spammed with phone calls, emails, and text messages from First National, asking us to come look at another Fit that is supposedly in their Seattle location. Despite the fact that he has told them multiple times to remove his number/email from their system, they continue to contact him. He blocked the first number, but now they are using new ones. I see that many other reviewers have had the same problem of listings being inaccurate (the car not being in the claimed location), and I see management responses that "this is an anomaly, blah blah, we are so sorry" -- yet it continues to happen, so clearly they do not care enough to implement appropriate inventory management policies that would eliminate this problem. They would also do well to learn how to remove peoples' contact information from their database when requested to do so. This behavior is utterly unprofessional and we are very glad we did not purchase our vehicle from this business. Based on this experience, we will never do any business there in the future. read more

I went in to buy a particular car that was listed online. They didn't have it so they directed me to a 2015 Toyota Yaris. Initially I liked it because it was spacious and good on fuel. The night of the purchase it was dark so I didn't notice the rust spot on the right side. Also the radio wasn't working but the salesman assured me I just needed to reset it so I didn't worry. To my horror the touchscreen turned out broken, the salesman said it was fine so that's 2 blatant lies. Took them 3 weeks to replace it. Why the F*@# would you sell someone a broken car and tell them it's like new? And the rust? I went in to ask them to fix that recently and they told me "it just needs some top paint." Are you stupid? I know how rust works. And don't call me buddy, I'm not your friend, I'm your victim you assholes. Icing on the cake: They sold it to me for above market value sneakily changing my rate from 6% to 12% and increasing the agreed upon price and misleading me about it. read more

Purchased a car from these people. 2018 Ford Escape. Drove the car for 2 weeks and the head gasket blew. Took them 6 months to fix this problem. Got it back for 24 hours and then the starter went out. Heard something rattling, checked under the hood and found a couple of the mechanics sockets. now that it's hot, tried my AC and it doesn't work even though it was working when I purchased the vehicle.
