Well, I gave Zak a good review the first time I went there but I brought my car back because my check engine light was on. Long story short they told me I needed a $2500 catalytic converter and so I thought that was a high price. I called Shoreline auto clinic and they said they would do it for $2000. I said OK so I brought my car up there to save $500 and when they inspected my car, they told me I didn't need anything but spark plugs. So basically Zak would've charged me 2500 and probably knew I just needed spark plugs but would've told me I got a new catalytic converter or they just don't know how to diagnose a vehicle correctly. I couldn't believe Shoreline auto clinic was so honest, but he was cause he could've easily ripped me off for $2000 and he chose not to. He chose to be honest. My car is running like brand new. My advice is get a second opinion because it could save you a lot of money. I ended up spending just over $200 to get my car running great as opposed to the 2500. I had have my 2019 kia Rio towed in two weeks ago when I broke down with an unknown engine issue. The guys who came out to look at my car seemed helpful but they did a very quick 5 minute odd assessment of my car, i.e. smelling the exhaust and told me my fuel pump was bad. I took them at their word and they had me put $500 dollars down claiming it would cost up to $900 in the end. Within an hour or so I received a video from them of smoke coming from my tail pipe and when I called them back they told me my engine was "bad" and that I would need a new one. They offered me used engines ranging from $2,700 to $3,500. They had not indicated any codes or other diagnostics, which seems like it should be standard for modern cars. I had found my warranty at this point and told them that I would take my car to the Kia dealership across the street. When I picked my car up the next day I asked for paper work and how much the diagnostic would cost. "Zack" said it would be $ 200 dollars and then proceeded to hand me $300 in cash since I had put down $500 on my card. I again asked for paper work and he said his "accountant" was out and that he would email me the paper work and receipt. He never email me anything. The kia dealership fixed my engine, which "Zack" claimed was unfixable and now the car works fine. Zacks clearly has some shady business practices and outdated repair procedures. I would never go to Zacks again and I don't recommend anyone else does. read more

Came in because there is a problem with my catalytic converter and filters, ik bc a sulfur smell fills the cabin upon hard acceleration. Douchebags didnt even look at the car. They popped the hood and smelled it?? Of course it doesnt smell like sulfur at the moment because i'm not hitting 5rpm bc i dont want it to smell you asswads. The little men didnt even take off the engine shields. Prob didnt listen to me because I am a woman. Hope their bmws need a new oil filter housing gasket every weekend. Had a tension bolt break off on my '09 Forester. Took it in around noon and got it back at 5:30. New bolt, replaced the alternator and belt. Great job, fair price, everything looks good, and it only took 5 hours. If I have any other issues I will definitely bring it back here. Edit: I did notice they didn't put this black plastic piece back over the belts. I asked and he said that set up may have been too big to put it back on. read more

This was the best situation that happened out of the worst. We left Seattle at 7am to catch a ferry in Anacortes last Labor Day weekend - NO one was open in Marysville where our car broke down. We pushed the car to several different places. Finally we decided to look back home for somewhere. We called up Zack's and they told us to come on in. Luckily, we had AAA who towed us there. We arrived around noon. They were able to fix a broken hose for our Volkswagen's coolant system and had all the right parts. Done in less than 2 hours. We made it in time for our camping reservations on Lopez and to catch the sunset! They saved our trip and were so kind and efficient. I cannot thank them enough for saving our weekend! I want to give great review to this shop. My car stopped working out of the blue and I could barely turn it back on in the middle of the street. Most of car shops are off on Sat and when I stopped by nearby Firestone as an emergency "cry for help" they flat out didn't help me and refused to even look at my car mentioning "liability" and "can get you in on Wed" even though I had emergency road situation and was their customer for years. When I called Zack's they were open and agreed to take a look at the car. They did inspection right away and were very kind and told he right away what the problem was. They were able to order the part right away and fixed my car within an hour. Can you imagine that ? On Saturday ! If I wouldn't have fixed it I had no idea how to move around following week or even if I would make it back home that day. Definitely coming back for car checks and tune up. read more

Blown away by Zack's kindness and service! My Subaru Crosstrek's front headlight light bulb was out and needs replacement. I was able to pickup the light bulb at nearby local AutoZone but they were unable to help me replace this special bulk because of some screwed in wiring and tightened in this rubber circle thingy. I phoned Zack's and explained my situation and asked if I could drop by and get help. He kindly said come by, and honestly it took him less than 5 minutes and everything was good and he just told me it's fine when I asked how much I owed his service. I was blown away by his kindness and service and I will intentionally bring my car here for more maintenance next time knowing this kind business owner is behind. You know that place you found that was so good you didn't want to tell anyone about, well, this is it. I have had oil changes, catalytic converters changed, and now, after going to a dealer (Bill Pierre) a POS I might add, I had Zak put in a new rebuilt engine in my Exploder. 60K cheaper than buying a new car. Price was 4K cheaper than the dealer who had no customer service training. This is a really nice guy with good people working for him. Started my morning with brakes going out in my girlfriend's car. Panicked as it is Sunday I start looking around and stumbled on Zack's. I called and he was extremely friendly on the phone telling me to just get it there and we can figure it out. I only had to wait 10 minutes before getting my vehicle looked at and receiving a free estimate. A quick look at it on the lift and he concluded that it was in fact the master brake cylinder. He told me it's not a problem and he will have it ready in about two hours. Two hours?!? I couldn't believe it, so I took a walk and did some shopping. Lo and behold when I returned two hours later there it was ready to be picked up. I was expecting a price gouge it being Sunday and such expedited service but I was met with quite the surprise when he said to me, "$350 my friend." I went to Zack's after getting a referral from someone who 'Highly recommended' his Shop! This was after 4 mos. of trying to get it repaired and going to Six (yes Six) previous Mechanics. I had several diagnostic tests and some work that didn't fix the problem but needed to be done. Two of the previous Shops said the fix "would be too expensive to fix" and others said they couldn't locate the issues. My Car would shake, drove rough and was Noisy! After Zack took my Car in, he found that the car had the wrong Sparkplugs installed and then diagnosed that it needed new Fuel Injectors. After his Shops work, it's been Running greatl!!! No more Shaking, running Smooth and no longer Noisy! Amazing and What a relief! I'm so grateful for Zack's knowledge and honesty. Took my car there for repairs got quoted for 2,700 and Zack wanted half the money down as I went to pay he said the transmission will be 3,700 plus tax. One week later was told the car was done as I went to pick the car up the car was worse then before I dropped it off. Came back he said it be done in one week. I come again and the car was still the same. After I had tow it again to his shop it ended up staying about one month there. I stoped by there and he said all it needed was a gasket, then texted me car is then but I need more 1,000$ more SCAMMER he did not replace my transmission I had it go to the shop as of right now my car still at the shop. Has the nerve to try to scam me still texted me. I have proof of all texted between this nightmare shop. This shop will be reported to the better business better business bureau plus I have created a page to information the people about ZACK AUTOSCAMMERS. 10/10! Zack and his team saved the day. Blew a transmission on trip out to the San Juan Islands from Montana. Stranded on a Saturday, Zack took his time to get us in and start working on our van. After replacing a gear shift cable for us, which we thought was the issue, he charged us nothing for his time. Zack then offered one of his cars for us to drive while we waited for the repair to the transmission to be complete, FOR FREE! Zack honored his estimate for the repair, even though he had to order a new transmission and not use the used one he originally quoted us for. If this does not deserve 10 stars I don't know what does. Zack and his team are incredibly friendly and honest.
