I was going to let this bad experience go, but recent events which I'll get to have made me reconsider. I hired First Source Restoration to tear down and rebuild my bathroom. An assortment of the things that went awry: - They subcontracted a mold tester who performed an unnecessary, expensive test which my insurance company rejected. - Against my instructions they installed a mirror hung on the wall rather than sunk into it. This threw my measurements into disarray and I had to order new faucets as a result, but in the interest of getting things finished I let it go. This turned out to be a big mistake. - They chipped the countertop of my vanity while installing it. - They didn't do any measurements before hauling the vanity into the house, and as a result needed to blow open the wall a second time and redo a ton of plumbing work inside the wall. - I was charged thousands of dollars for work completed, when the grout work had not been finished, and the bathroom still lacked molding. The workman on site was going on vacation and they wanted to call the job "done," so I guess that Karla just tried to wish it so. - They sent a plumber to hook up the vanity who left my house with an egregious leak in the drain. If I hadn't been paranoid enough to check this would have undone the entire five-figure rebuild with new water damage in a couple of days. He had left holding a large check from me. - Their plumber came back the next day, and said we needed to rip open the wall a third time. It was at this point that I told Karla I was stopping payment on the plumbing check, causing her to melt down and tell me I was on my own. I hired a different competent plumber to finish the work, which was done correctly in an hour. I thought I was done with this fiasco until last week, when one of the two mirror pieces fell off the wall revealing that it was not properly screwed into the wall. I have a five year old who uses that mirror daily and if the timing had been different, it literally could have killed him. Do not hire. read more

I was blown away by the high quality service we received from First Source, and from Karla specifically. Our emergency occurred on Saturday morning during the Memorial Day weekend. I am very impressed with First Source Restoration. They are honest and professional. When an exterminator pulled out my refrigerator, I was horrified to see the floor covered in what I thought was black mold. When I contacted FSR, Nicole was very helpful and connecting me with Victor, a technician. I texted him photos of the problem. Victor came to my house in 2 hours and fortunately assured me it was not mold. Dust and dirt had gotten wet from a slow leak in the water line. ICK!!! But NOT mold. Great company to work with, I highly recommend! I had my main pipe burst under my house... sewage (tp, feces, etc) piling up for lord knows how long. My plumber who I 100% trust said this was the best company to use. They got back to me right away and were able to come out just a few hours later. Oscar is amazing! My toilet backed up and overflowed and he came out around midnight to assess the situation. He initially quoted a price which included him having to tear out the floors and walls where there was water damage, but he suggested to leave drying fans over the weekend and to call him Monday. He came back Monday and he reassessed the situation and saw we didn't have to tear out anything! He left more equipment for a full week and everything was dry and good to go. I'm so impressed at how fast they responded to my concern! The representative on the phone was very friendly and provided me with an accurate ETA which was within a few hours after we spoke. Oscar who came out to my home was extremely honest about the damages that appeared. I was relieved by what I was told.
