If you need some quality work in your home done due to unforeseen damage, I can think of no one better to recommend than ServiceMASTER. At every point in the removal, cleanup, and reconstruction of our hallway wall - due to a slow leaking pipe which drained under our floor tiles - we were treated to professionalism and the highest of standards. An initial consult with managing partner and COO Zach Galajyan, constant communication with our project manager Andy Santrosyan, and three specialized crews put our entranceway back together, taking into consideration our work schedules and treating our home with the utmost respect throughout the entire process. The first crew removed one side of the wall (leaving the other side untouched so we wouldn't have to remove a large set of kitchen cabinetry). They inspected the area, tented it off for minimal impact to us and the rest of our house, treated the insides for possible mold growth, and left an industrial fan to dry out the area completely. They even arranged for a service to test the air for mold spores after the section was completely dry. After the area passed inspection, the tent was removed, and a second crew came to match and install a new wall section with wood paneling and trim. Finally, we had a three-man painter crew who sanded, sealed and finished the paneling before repainting it, the walls above, and the ceiling (three different colors). All three crews were well staffed and experts in their field. They took their time and did the project to a standard even better than the original wall. ServiceMaster is an "11" on a scale of 10. Like most people, we called them in freak-out mode (our upstairs plumbing had a leak that worked its way down through two floors. From moment one, we knew we were in good hands: The person who answered our call (Patti) said, "We don't believe in voicemail; you'll always get a live person with us." They had a team out that very day, and they began doing the water remediation, stripping the drywall down to the studs, and installing all manner of hot-air blowers and dehumidifiers to dry everything out before we could rebuild. They also recommended a terrific company to do the required asbestos and mold checks. In addition to the quality of their work, I was awed by how careful they were, installing carpet protectors everywhere and plastic sheeting to minimize getting particles blown all over the rooms by the drying equipment. Special shout out to Edwin and his team for all their hard work. The drying process wasn't easy. We had some troublesome tile areas that naturally took way longer than wood to dry. But every day, Edwin showed up (after texting us his ETA) to do his moisture checks. Happily, about one week into the job, he gave us the "all clear"--everything was dry to code, and we avoided the expense of having to rip out the tile to dry the base underneath. Anyone who's gone through water damage knows what a nightmare it is, emotionally, physically and financially. But having ServiceMaster in our corner, doing everything they could to restore us to some semblance of normalcy, was a godsend. We can't recommend them highly enough. read more

It would take a novel to describe the miserable twists and turns of my last few months. Long story short: my house suffered from one catastrophic water damage incident, which ServiceMasters help us completely fix, only to experience another (worse!) one from a completely unrelated cause. This was an unfortunate experience that started out well, but went from bad to worse. We had significant water damage to a bathroom. We researched companies and interviewed several. We chose this one based on Zach's assurance that he could restore the bathroom from the damage AND rebuild it as well. In fairness, Zach did a good job with the mold removal. After independent testing and certification, he installed the drywall. But, when it came to rebuilding, he stopped returning phone calls, for weeks and then months. We copied the owner, Ara, on several emails as we couldn't figure out why Zach went AWOL. Ara followed up with us weeks later, but only to offer us excuses, flower arrangements or chocolate, or fixing some furniture if we needed it "to make it up to us." Needless to say, we wasted a lot of time in limbo with completely unprofessional behavior and unreturned communications and false promises. We were insulted by the lame offers of gifts, potentially so that we wouldn't write an honest review. We would have appreciated and expected that they didn't sell services from the beginning that they had no intention of providing and perhaps were not capable of, just to secure the job. And lastly, once in a corner - we would have greatly appreciated just being told the truth: that they could not do the work they had committed to and that we should move on, rather than dodging and weaving and wasting a lot of our time. For this, regardless of the decent work they did in the beginning, we cannot give them a better review. If we could give 0 stars, we would because honesty and integrity are everything. They didn't have that at the beginning and it was a long, frustrating process for us to figure it out. I know this review is inconsistent with most of the others, but it is the truth of our experience. It also appears to be the case of a vendor who works the reviews, and tries to buy off potentially unfavorable ones with flowers or chocolate. NO THANKS. We gave Ara the chance to be honest and take responsibility over the phone, which would have gone a long way to healing this situation. He offered useless gifts instead. UGH. I hope this review saves someone from the same unprofessional and wasteful experience. read more

After our first round of rain, I found the corner of the flooring in my front room was wet. I reached out to ServiceMaster and spoke to Zach. He was very understanding and came out to my home right away. They found out a portion of my wall was wet and right away put up the plastic and hooked the machine up to dry out the flooring and walls. I did have a lot of questions but Zach was so professional and patient with me, answering all my questions. I live in Westlake Village and had 4 significant roof leaks that caused substantial damage in late February 2019. I called my insurance company who provided me 4 suggested companies to contact. Luckily I chose ServiceMaster! I called on a Sunday night and Monday morning They were at my place with a crew and two trucks. They immediately started demolition of dry wall, provided 6-7 big dryers and while rains persisted, provided me with the name of a roofer to come out and immediately tarp to try to stop additional damage. This was miracle #1, as getting a roofer out during these heavy rains was essentially impossible for me. The tarping and fixes on the roof worked, as luckily, we had continued rains which tested the roof repairs. The roofing was not covered by insurance ( everything else was), but the roofer provided was extremely reasonable. Once demolition, roof and dry out was complete, the repairs and construction began. The entire group, demo (Abraham),painters (Nappo), drywall (Rueben and others) and Arsen all were terrific! Not only was their work good, but their respect for my home, their cleanliness and interactions were professional and perfect. All construction and demo areas were shielded with plastic drapes to contain the area. They also worked well with the insurance adjuster. I don't ever want to go through this again, but really, if you have to go through this, I highly recommend ServiceMaster and their ability to handhold the homeowner through difficult times and to get the job done quickly, and well. Zach came to my home and inspected some water damage that occurred. I wish I had used these guys for an issue that arose last year from a faulty dishwasher. My experience was simply not the same, as streamlined or professional. He was so professional and incredibly honest. A lot of times when it comes to issues like water mitigation, folks, including myself can find themselves out of their depth. It turned out, my particular issue was superficial in nature and he made absolutely no attempt to make the issue into something it wasn't. His colleague was equally professional and friendly and I would highly recommend using their service if anything like water mitigation arises. Service Master was a recommendation from our insurance company after we sustained extensive water damage from burst pipes in a wall in our condo. Zach was here promptly, assured me that they would take care of packing & removing a large part of our furnishings so they could start their work to remove damaged walls & all wood floors throughout the condo. Servicemaster did an amazing job during a super stressful time for us. They arrived within two hours of our flood and began their magic. They dried up the floors, had fans and dehumidifiers in our home that same night. They came back the next day and packed up the entire place and moved it out to storage. They preserved as much of the furniture and items as they could. And at the end they brought it all back and unpacked it all slowly, and considerately. Everyone who works here is nice and does not have any attitude. They are extremely professional, honest and super calm during a time that feels like it will never get better. We had a house fire on 12/28/2019 that caused damage to the affected area and a lot of smoke damage throughout our house. We chose the team at 24/7 Restoration because Zach was very knowledgeable about the clean-up process and insurance process. We had 2 different Adjusters come out from insurance companies and Zach knew both of them by name and had an existing relationship with them. This went a long way towards credibility and getting our insurance claim settled. The workmanship performed to remove the damaged portions, clear out the smoke smell & damage, and restore our property was well done. There were a few hiccups along the way, however to be fair, COVID-19 did a number on the timeline of our project. Sourcing materials due to supply chain shut downs were constant issues. For example, our flooring was coming from store somewhere out in San Bernadino County that was closed for 5 weeks due to local government requirements. On top of that, this company has multiple projects going at the same time, therefore these speed bumps made it challenging to have the team stick to a work schedule timeline. read more

My entire room flooded. Water overflowed from the toilet and shower and spilled all over my floors. We had an emergency call and Zareh came by early morning next day and started taking care of the situation. The plumbing was fully fixed so no more clogged pipes or overflowing. These folks were hired by my insurance company to move furniture from a portion of my home due to damage sustained to the building caused by a tree that fell on it. They simply had to store the furniture for a few weeks and bring it back. For this service they received a 5-figure payment. When my housekeeper was cleaning a few days after the furniture was returned, she found a chip to the underside of a large glass coffee table top. My contractor reported the issue to Zack and Ara telling them that it would cost $1140 to replace the table top. They gave us a $400 credit saying that since we had signed the waiver they were just being kind by offering the $400. I expected that they would have covered the entire table top since the job was far less extensive than they had anticipated and for which they received well over $10,000! read more
