Then, Gio who assisted with coordination of the team and the work that needed to be done, who was consistently responsive and supportive throughout the entire process. EDIT: I don't recall the exact dates, but the issues described occurred over the months leading up to this review, and the experience itself is unchanged. My insurance company recommended Tri-Tech, and hiring them has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had with any contractor. If you're reading this, I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. I contacted them approximately a few months before posting this review for a very small repair project, and everything from the first phone call was a problem. It started with the receptionist, who my insurance company had difficulty reaching. Approximately weeks would pass with no returned calls, and the only way anything moved forward was when I personally called to chase updates. After approximately weeks of delays, Carlos was finally sent out to inspect the damage. During that visit, they cut a hole in my wall, found mold, and then left the wall completely open, exposing the area without any covering or containment. They stated they "couldn't touch it," but made no effort to cover the opening -- not even with plastic sheeting. For approximately the next few weeks, that hole remained open while the original sewage leak continued affecting the wall cavity. I was repeatedly told nothing could be done until mold confirmation came back, which meant the situation remained unresolved for weeks. It took approximately a few months just to complete mitigation. Even after that, multiple areas were left wet, and I ultimately finished drying them myself by setting up a tent and running my own dehumidifier. Once mitigation was finally complete, I was told Jacob would come out to provide a repair estimate. That took approximately another few weeks. He indicated I would receive the estimate by the end of the week; it took approximately another few. I signed and returned it immediately. I was then told someone would come out that week for a repair walkthrough. Instead, I waited approximately another few weeks with no communication until I called again. Someone eventually arrived, reviewed the plan, and told me a crew would be out within a week to start demo. Approximately a few more weeks passed with no action. When I contacted Tri-Tech again, I was told they were declining the project because it was "not profitable." During an earlier visit, Carlos suggested proceeding with repairs in a way that raised concerns for me about permits. When he realized he was on camera, he became visibly uncomfortable and changed the subject. Despite all the delays, mistakes, and additional issues, I still attempted to resolve things professionally. I contacted the owner, Amy, explained what had happened, and asked whether there could be any consideration or adjustment given the approximate months of problems. I was told I had three days to pay or they would place a lien on my home. I paid, and I am writing this review to share my experience. Tri-Tech handled only part of the work, dragged the process out for approximately months, left my home in worse condition, walked away from the actual repair work, and threatened a lien when I questioned their performance. I would not use them again and would not recommend them. Additional note in response to the employee comment: Nothing about this service was "10/10." I was required to sign a "satisfactory" form before work began, and when I recently called to speak with a representative I was disconnected mid-call. Tri Tech Restoration rebuilt our entire house from smoke damage that was caused by the attached garage fire. As a start, Shelly, the first responder, showed up during the time fire department was rescuing the house, stayed the entire time until we were let in the house, then boarded the house up for security on a SUNDAY. Carlos, the project manager, with his team did a good job on the entire rebuilding process. Carlos stayed on top of everything and suggested a lot of modifications that made house look better. Michael, the owner of the company, was involved during the rebuilding process and helped us get the funds we need for rebuild from the insurance company. The entire rebuilding process was lengthy, stressful, and was not an easy task. In the end, we have a great house to show off. All thanks to Tri Tech Restoration. I have nothing but great things to say about Tri Tech Restoration. They also warranty their work for 1 year. We had to factory defective cabinet doors in the kitchen. UNPROFESSIONAL, NO COMMUNICATION, LIES, ABANDONMENT. Those are just a few words to describe this company and their "work". This was an insurance job, so already it wasn't important for them and of course saw it as a way to get more money from us. They did asbestos removal in Mid March...it's the end of July and it looks the same as when they "started."   The office staff and field staff are extremely unprofessional. When we "began" the work, all off a sudden it was vacation time for what felt like their entire staff..our just our crew. We had a PM who was out of town for two weeks so for two weeks no calls, no work being done, nothing. Once he returned, it was then someone else who was out of town so again, no work could begin. Once they actually did send people to start working, it was a snail crew of not more than 2 people, maybe 3 on a "good day". They would come for a few hours a week, do a little bit of work here and there, and then leave. They left our entire backyard a mess,  full of dust and not to mention our original cabinets were still outside when they said they would have a dumpster out immediately. Yet they also told us they had to stay on site because the cabinet guy needed the door measurements. Once they told us that, all of a sudden they had to move them BACK INSIDE. The whole thing made no sense and it was just lies to pass more time. We waited weeks for our cabinets to be installed. We understand wood is on low stock so we understood the wait. We figured between the time they told confirmed a date and the time they would install the cabinets, more work would be completed such as finished paint, floor installation, etc. yet NOTHING was completed. Less than a week before they said they were going to install, they had to come out for final measurements.. This is when they decided to tell us our floor was out of level. They took way too long to provide us with a # to level the floor and when they did, it was an outrageous number that they wanted us to pay for when we knew insurance was going to cover it. This was all a couple days before they are supposed to install the cabinets. Between no work being done on our house for months and being lied to, this is total abandonment. Tri Tech Restoration was one of the first to arrive to the property when our property was in flames. I have to admit Tri Tech has one of the best people working for them out in the field. Carlos and Diego both were great on explaining my family the process on getting our property repaired and what steps to take next. Throughout the process of the repairs, we did came across some challenges, which were out of Tri Techs control, such as city inspections and insurance claims dept delays. However, they did try to advance as much as possible with the work that could be completed that did not required any prior approvals. I hate to give them as low as 1-star, simply because no-doubt there are many good people at this company. However 1-star simply means "not good" and that's the case here. My experience was as follows: 1) they initially refused to commit to a project schedule (my bad) 2) they performed unacceptable quality work (they acknowledged it) 3) they delayed my project 6 months (and counting) 4) they have simply never finished the project (stucco & drywall) 5) they even had one of their own project managers show up to my house one time and tell me I was giving THEM the "run-around". (???) I know they have bigger projects to focus on, but regardless they were being paid well for the quantities of work they were performing here because this was via an insurance repair. This is ghosting... They were very persistent in asking for payment though. Now I am having to go back to my insurance company, and it seems we'll have to find another contractor to fix their work and finish the project. read more

So I'm in the middle of a water damage claim and I keep pretty detailed notes. Let's get this time-stamp review started. For those of you who've never seen one of these before, they may seem boring, but they will give an accurate sense of how helpful/timely a service provider really is. June 30 4:35pm - I submit my original claim to Homesight Insurance, and am told a water mitigation company will contact me within the next business day. June 30 5:29pm (pretty fast) - Amy from Tri Tech reaches out to me to walk me through the process, ask me for details, and to tell me that she's going to get the process started for water mitigation and leak detection. July 1 9:01 am - Bernice from Tri Tech calls to let me know someone will be coming out from 1-2pm. July 1 11:33 am - Bernice called again to let me know she received approval to send a leak detection person out as well. July 1 1:00pm - Adam and Jose arrive from Tri Tech and begin working, checking for mold (was none), and setting up dryers, dehumidifiers, and mold inhibitors. They're personable, professional, knowledgeable, and patient with me. July 1 3:15pm - The leak detection tech arrived true to Bernice's word and determined the source of the leak to be the HVAC system. July 2 11:00 am - Adam and Jose come back to check on the equipment and to let me know that someone would likely need to remove the HVAC system so they could continue drying out the damaged areas. July 2 1:57 pm - Bernice called to schedule an HVAC company to come out and remove the HVAC system for July 6 between 8 & 9 am July 3 9:00 am - Adam comes by to check on the equipment July 4/5 - Happy Birthday America! Nobody should be working July 6 8:00 am - HVAC company comes out and removes the HVAC unit placing it nearby. July 6 9:00 am - Adam and Jose are back to inspect the damage where the HVAC used to be, set driers, dehumidifiers and anti mold stuff again. July 7 9:00 am - Adam and Jose come out and remove all the equipment, satisfied that the damaged areas are thoroughly dry enough to begin repair to. I'm sure I'll have more to say as this progresses. At this point, my journey with Adam and Jose is complete. They have continued to be professional, timely, and knowledgeable. If you find yourself in my position, you'd be lucky to have them service your account. So far, I'm impressed with Tri Tech, and the people they've sourced when they needed to. I'll continue to update until my work with Tri Tech is concluded, but so far they are courteous, punctual, forthright, and actively working to help me resolve this. read more

Seriously! Where do I begin? If you want to be saved from one less nightmare in your lives, read this or don't read this but definitely look elsewhere for your contractor needs. This company is completely unprofessional, worst workmanship I've ever experienced and they do not tell the truth. They will weasel out of everything possible and will fight tooth and nail to the bitter end before fixing their completely careless and multiple mistakes. They do not stand by their word and they even tried to pocket insurance money by not purchasing all materials and therefore not installing a large part of materials only to lie and say they did install these materials. If I hadn't marked my initials in hidden areas, they might had gotten away with it. It's literally never ending with these guys. Every time they tell me my project is done, it clearly is not and worse, what they do do they do wrong so everything has to be redone. For "some" reason everybody can easily see their multiple mistakes except for them. My neighbors even from their homes can clearly see the poor workmanship and that the work is done wrong meanwhile I'm told the work is completed and demanding payment. With the help of my adjuster on my side and my lawyer, I've been able to YEARS later, get the job close to done with still repercussions from their poor workmanship. Yes, I said years later and that I'm still having issues with their poor workmanship. Do yourselves a favor and learn from my regretful mistake. read more

My experience has sadly been frustrating with this company. I have 2 small holes behind my refrigerator that were made to dry out the walls. The walls are now dry, and tri-tech is now insisting that they must repaint my entire kitchen or they will do nothing. My entire kitchen was painted less than a year ago. I still have the paint. There is no need to repaint the entire kitchen for a 1' x 4' hole. They could easily just fix the hole and repaint over that area, or just that one wall. I am not comfortable having a crew in my kitchen doing unnecessary work, especially with COVID. They don't care what I want, although it is my home and my insurance paid for their work. read more

Our tankless water heater had a leak, which caused several problems. We used the company TriTech Restoration Co. From the beginning they were professional and worked hard on a daily basis until the situation was resolved. We had two TriTech Restoration employees who worked to resolve our issues, Carlos and Cesar. These two men were conscientious of protecting their work space/our home, they were extremely kind and efficient with their time of arrival and departure, they kept us informed on the process and answered all of our questions and concerns. Our water issues were very unfortunate, however we're grateful to have had these two gentlemen in our home to resolve our issues. At first, I was somewhat nervous about one company coming in to do the complete restoration at my house after a water leak. So far, I had Carlos and Cesar come in and work. They both were very professional. They were always cleanly dressed, openly discussed the work that they were going to do that day and took care of my personal property as if it were theirs. Cesar jumped into work by setting up material to walk on and then began isolating the area. Carlos mapped things out on his paperwork and then assisted Cesar by isolating and setting up humidifiers. When the days work was completed, they check with me to see if everything was satisfactory and if they could do anything more to make us more comfortable. I give them 5 stars! Tyler Jones came bye (10 minutes early) for his 1:00 appointment. It so nice when someone is early for an appointment (especially in the construction field)! He is very nice, polite and dressed professionally. He too explained what his duties were for the day and got to work. Mold containment tear dow day! Harry and Jose L. came by on time and explained what their job was, they too were dress professional and got right to work. They were in and out in about an hour. The nice thing was they left the tread covers on the stairs and entrance paper down to help protect my existing floors. So far everything has been great with Tri-Tech. read more

Our experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare! STAY AWAY! They were referred to us in March/April 2017, by our insurance company for water damage. All seemed well at first. People seemed nice, office staff was nice. Then the work began, or not. Tony, was the foreman. The crew, unskilled laborers, came only on weekends to work. Almost nothing was done. We were living in a hotel for 2 1/2 months. We did much of the work ourselves. Trash was left in our house, they borrowed our equipment, left piles of trash and debris on our porch (for weeks), and did not complete the work on time, but we had to move back in. That's just the start! They did horrible work! We have had a forensic engineer inspect our house, the CSLB inspector, and 3 independent contractors. NONE of the work was done to industry standards. (Their expert said it was. That's not sketchy...) Our kitchen floor is totally uneven, our cabinets are not level, the counter top is cracked and chipped. Our wood floor is hollow in multiple spots, our bathroom floors are uneven. You get the idea. There was more, but I'll stop here. We've tried for 1 1/2 years to get them to do the right thing. read more
