There is not one negative thing I have to say about this place. For being a new spot, I was super impressed. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, the host walked us to a table and gave us menus. We waited less than five minutes for our waiter to come over. I ordered a regular coffee and my boyfriend did too so our waiter brought over a pot of coffee for us to share. I usually only see that being done at IHOP. Really convenient. My boyfriend ordered the Inspired Italian omelette (it smelled amazing!) and also ordered a side of biscuits and gravy. He had one bite and fell in love. I ordered the Market Skillet Hash with sunny side up eggs. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. Buttered toast and fruit on the side were amazing as well. Food was really fresh. They give you the check at at the table and ask you to take it up front to pay. Came here on Memorial Day and it was open and boy was it busy! We had a 20 minute wait so just hung around outside until our table was ready - I believe they texted my friend when it was. Our waiter was nice and gave us samples of the juices - morning meditation juice, kale tonic, and one other one which I can't remember. They were all surprisingly tasty and didn't have that overwhelming green/healthy taste. I ended ordering the morning meditation juice which had orange, lemon, turmeric, organic ginger, agave nectar and beet. According to their website, it's only 160 calories! For my entree, I ordered the chickichanga which were whipped eggs with spicy all-natural white-meat chicken, chorizo sausage, green chilies, Cheddar and Monterey Jack, onions and avocado rolled in a flour tortilla. Topped with Vera Cruz sauce and sour cream. Served with fresh fruit and fresh, seasoned potatoes. It took forever to get - I'm not sure if the kitchen was backed up but felt like it took almost an hour to get to the table. It was good but I wish I asked for more of the Vera Cruz sauce - I like my food drenched in sauces. I didn't think the potatoes were anything special but wish they offered more fruit. I like how you can pay up front so you don't have to wait for the waiter to get back to you. This was my first time dining in and it was suggested to get the farmhouse menu item. I skipped the avocado and tomato so what i was served was perfect. My meal was really good to kick off the start of the new year. My sister/bff was with me and as picky of an eater that she is, she found something on the menu that actually satisfied her taste buds. I have eaten at First Watch several times in the restaurant and have also gotten takeout. Their food is always so fresh and so tasty! My favorite thing by far on the menu is the chickichanga. Inside the tortilla is eggs, chicken, chorizo, green chiles, cheese, onions and avocado. It is topped with sour cream and Vera Cruz sauce. It is not what you expect to eat for breakfast but is full of flavor! It's not too spicy. I get the breakfast potatoes as a side and they are delicious as well. My husband loves the million dollar bacon and the avocado toast with eggs on top, as well as the elevated breakfast sandwich. I also love getting their fresh juices. My family always goes to first watch when we vacation and we tried the one in Abington, PA near home and it was such a disappointment. Our waitress was not friendly at all, and she gave our table dirty mugs even after we asked for new clean mugs. Really all the plates and silverware were greasy and slimy. Not the mention the food portions were a bit ridiculous, i think I had about 10 potato cubes in my hash brown skillet. Super disappointed. First Watch was recommended to me by a close friend. I was surprised at where it is located, because I've been in Abingtons shopping center many times and never noticed it. Out with my elderly cousin and we decided to stop. When we entered I noticed they were very cognizant of her and gave her special attention. I thought that we very nice since she wasn't familiar with the menus terminology. She decided on the cheesey grits, pork sausage, scrambled eggs and a pancake and coffee. She loved everything. Actually saying it was one of the best pancakes she ever had. She doesn't eat much, so she had enough to take home for another meal. I decided on the "Trifecta". Which is one (big) pancake, 2 strips of bacon, and 2 eggs (w/cheese) over easy and coffee. I started to get 2 pancakes , glad I didn't since they were so big! Everything came out perfect, but we both agreed the coffee was very strong! I really appreciate the pot of coffee they give you instead of just a cup. Also, when I asked for a glass of water they came back with a small jar and 2 glasses so you can get what you want instead of what they give you. We enjoyed our time at " First Watch". The food is tasty, doing breakfast or brunch and lunch can be a delightful experience. Get your wallets ready, inflation and a newer venue you'll be paying for it. Its really hard to make healthy food look beautiful, tasteful, and appealing to the mass. This brunch place did that trifecta like its no big deal. Not to mention they gave excellent service, waiters that dont rush you and have a smile on their face makes all the difference in someone's dining experience. I was seated by the fireplace and felt like the happiest camper with my kale tonic, short rib benedict, and french toast after a long night of partying. My body literally felt renewed from my head to my toes after swallowing all that health down my gullet. We waited almost two hours for food to come out. The waitress was slow and had too many tables. The other wait staff refused to assist her and getting something as simple as a straw was hard. The host and cashier were being rude as people asked why the wait was so long. It was barely packed. Nothing on the seasonal menu was available (so why even show customers). No orange juice, no kale tonic, no cranberry juice, ran out of grits. No million dollar bacon. The waitress was running around like a confused child. The manager on-call went to the back and refused to come back out. Not having bacon or the kale tonic as signature items is absolutely confusing. Why even open? This review is for service I received (or didn't receive depending on your view). I wanted to order a healthy breakfast very early, at 7:45am and they're listed as open. After having surgery this place seemed to fit the bill for that both food and beverages. They offer drinks with kale and ginger, which are good for inflammation and a highly rated breakfast. I called numerous times and finally got a person on the line. I asked if they deliver to my hotel and she said, "yes we are in Abington" and she hangs up. Okay... I'll just order online. Surely she's not cooking the food so I have nothing to worry about. I fill my cart with food and drinks and checkout only to get a message saying they're not accepting deliveries online at this time. So I call back. And call. And call. I'm starting to feel like a psycho ex-girlfriend. I can't tell if I want the food or if I just want to accomplish the great task and satisfaction of having someone answer the phone again. The lack of customer service over the phone and complete non-existent online site are less than one star. My friend ordered the Chickichanga and specifically asked for the vera cruz sauce to be on the side because she can't fathom the taste of it, and of course they ended up putting it on there anyway. My Egg Benedict was mid, nothing special really. They claim their pancakes are humongous... they're pretty average honestly. I am really disappointed in this restaurant. I wanted to love it because it is so much closer than my favorite breakfast place but I just feel like I cheated on my favorite spot with a cheap h**ker. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful laid out and modern furnishings. The food presentation is also gorgeous. My waiter (Ryan) was really awesome as well. BUT The majority of the food we ordered was just not good in any regard. I got the hot chocolate to drink but was very disappointed with the cool whip topping over real whipped cream. Cool whip has an odd after taste. When I am splurging on my calorie intake I want to have the real thing not a e synthetically created modified "healthy" version of the real deal. Next the eggs were undercooked. I asked for over easy, which I admit can be difficult to master, but the whites of the egg were still goopy on the inside. Also the menu says they are cage free eggs and I find that hard to believe unless they are getting them from very poorly sustained hens. In which case I would then question their ethics on sourcing ingredients. I'm just going to assume they are actually using mass produced farmed eggs. Additionally the eggs were devoid of any flavor whatsoever The million dollar bacon was the biggest disappointment for me. I rarely eat bacon but when I do it's a treat. In this case I have no idea how they managed to do it but it was raw and undercooked. One half of the bacon looked like it was over cooked and the other half looked like it was juuuuust about to be done but not quite there yet. When I took a bite it was absolutely raw bacon. On top of that it was cold. It seems like they pre-seasoned/premade the bacon and flash microwaved them before serving. We were the first table to enter the restaurant and when we left there were only 2 other tables seated when we left so they weren't busy or over run with customers. I like The location -plenty of parking . And the interior is nice and clean . The food was good too but not all of it ... - I ordered avocado toast with eggs and million dollar bacon as well as home fries and grilled cheese for my son . The fruit salad that came with grilled cheese was dreadful- rotten strawberries ( laying right on top ) and frozen grapes . SO, I would have liked to give First Watch 5 stars, but our service was THAT bad I can't give more than 1 star. I had previously came here when they first opened and had a pleasant experience so I expected to have a similar experience. Before arriving I added myself to the waitlist through Yelp. I was super happy with this service as we arrived and only had to wait about 5-7 mins for a table to be ready and we were seated. We had a party of 3 adults and 2 children(in high chairs). The front desk staff was super friendly and inviting! Up until this point things were going great! Then, we got to our table and a employee dropped off some coffee for our table. Next, our waitress "Kiki" arrived unpleasantly and asked if we were ready to order our food... there was no greeting- no good morning- how are you-- NOTHING. We advised her we were not ready and she began walking away. I had to ask her to take our drink order.... seems a little crazy to me that a waitress would come up to a table and not ask if they could get them anything to drink!? Especially when there are two young children at the table... So as our dining experience continued so did the horrible service. She did not check on us in between taking our food order and drink order to see if we needed refills or anything else. Our food arrives.. or should I say 80% of the food arrived and we did not have enough silverware. Trying to track her down to ask for another set was ROUGH! Once we got the silverware she ignored the fact that one entire order of food was MIA and everyone else was well Into their meal. Again, there was no checking to see if we needed anything or needed refills (which is clear to see we did as our glasses were EMPTY)!!!!! Every time we asked for something (refill, napkins, silverware etc.) it seemed we were inconveniencing her. .. which is IRONIC since it's her job -- The entire experience was tainted due to the poor service! Lastly, the waitress at one point came up to our table and started touching and playing with my one friend's child's toy!!! She didn't ask, she just grabbed it and started messing with it... I don't know how anyone thinks it's okay to touch someone's child's toy. Kids are always putting things in their mouths and both of my friends are very conscientious of germs and not having people touch their children's things without freshly washed hands. It's poor etiquette and inappropriate for a waitress to do this. But this was the first time she approached our table and actually smiled. In regards to the actual food, everything came out hot and really tasty (just not timely or even together!!). They have really good multi grain bread, we tried their blueberry quinoa pancakes (they forgot the blueberries), avocado toast, a yogurt bowl, eggs, potatoes and bacon and sausage. My choice for dishes go between savory or sweet. Some favorites are: carrot crunch pancake, salmon frittata, and a side order of the crispy sweet (with a little spicy kick!) bacon. The hot coffee is unlimited so it goes well as you're devouring. You have to pay at the front and it with that, it brings a full circle to interacting with the hosts and raving how great the experience + food is! Love bringing older sisters in here to try it out. I loved the layout of First Watch, big windows, wood tables and open floor space. The food was really good! I find that there's two ways that any place can do breakfast good and terrible. It's hard mess up an egg and bacon but some places have mastered that skill. I digress, first watch landed on the good side. I never even noticed this place tucked on Old York Road but I was excited to try a new breakfast spot. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros tostadas (minus guacamole) and a side of turkey sausage patties. The presentation was beautiful and I was excited to sit in. The sausage was ultimately the highlight of the meal. The Huevos Rancheros wasn't as thrillingly I thought it would be. It featured chorizo but it was more like bacon bit style so it really added nothing to the entree. Our party of two arrived mid-morning on a Saturday (the first weekend they were open) and were seated in less than five minutes. The staff was friendly and well organized. I had The Traditional breakfast (two eggs, a protein, potatoes, toast and preserves), while my husband opted for the daily special (a pumpkin pancake with two eggs and a chicken sausage patty). Everything was delicious. I opted for bacon with my breakfast and it was cooked exactly the way I like it, still chewy. The bacon itself was also mostly meat, not too fatty. The toast was a nice thick slice of bread and went great with the preserves. Potatoes were well seasoned and a nice mix of crunchy and soft bits. My husband loved his pumpkin pancake (not too sweet, actual pumpkin flavor not the ubiquitous pumpkin spice), and was really happy with the mushrooms he'd added to his eggs. Liked the omelet a lot and sausage was perfect. Potatoes were seasoned perfect, although I like them to be more crisp. Wish there was a choice for bread, not a big fan of whole wheat.
