This came so highly recommended by my friend Mike, who loved the million dollar bacon. I came during Coronageddon so maybe that was it, but the food was really bad. I only ordered the famous million dollar bacon and cheese grits and I struck out on both. The bacon was excessively "pork-y" not bacon-y and the grits were clearly made by someone who has never eaten grits in the south. Not creamy, not seasoned, but greasy with what I remember as "government cheese" from my childhood (yes I am telling my age - and I ain't young). To top it off - I literally ate a partial piece of bacon of a 4 piece order and 1 bite of grits out of the grits and none of the 3 servers I interacted with asked whether I like my food - they literally had 0 fu*^#ks to give. In fact only 1 of the 5-6 people walking the floor seemed to be aware that they were servers (I have 10 years of waiting experience so I may be overly critical). 1st off I'll say that I've had good experiences at First Watch, just not today. The customer service was so bad. As is the case with any place that is popular? You'll expect a wait time, which I did. But my wife and I were with our two-year-old grandson and we were waiting for 45 minutes. While we waited and we'd seen 7 or 8 different parties get seated and we were supposedly 4th on the wait list. So we went up to check and they said that our name was moved down on the list because they accepted online orders that bumped us down. So, lesson learned, don't go to First Watch off Sandy Plains unless you put your name online, because they don't value walk in customers (at least not the hostess working today). read more

Absolutely would recommend this place if you are in the Atlanta area. The staff is very nice and helpful with answering any questions you may have about the menu. I will suggest the fritta with greens on side. Who said you can't eat a salad for breakfast very satisfying. And I cannot say enough about their coffee, to me this is the best brew I have ever drank. This place was very disappointing! They messed up my order, giving me items I didn't order and failing to include items that I did order. The pancakes and sausage were burned. The toast for the the avocado toast was not toasted and the avocado was very bland. The cheesy grits were bland as well. I spent $60 on an awful breakfast. First time visiting this location in Atlanta. The wait time was non-exist so that's a plus. This visit occurred during the Covid-19 pandemic and I observed everyone practicing social distancing and high quality cleaning standards. The server (Tiera) was extremely slow even though it was a very slow customer flow but I used to be a server so I understand how sometimes we can't always meet the needs of everyone. She did not bring refills to the table, bring additional condiments (pepper, sour cream) requested within 10 mins. Nor did she pick up the check either. We basically sat for a long time waiting for her to come check in on us. I ordered the Monterey Club with the Mixed Green salad with the lemon dressing. Very good and a decent portion size. The salad could have included something more than just the greens, maybe some blue cheese crumbles or some other vegetable to make it pop but to each its own. The presentation of food is weird and could use some work because it seem like food was thrown on plate. There is multiple improvements that need to happen. This is the worst location. The food is constantly wrong and burnt. I've complained over and over again and the manager just doesn't care. I've never had a good experience here. Once I order a chicken and avocado salad and they forgot the avocado. They burn the potatoes all the time and rather then remake them they'll pick some out so you never get a full order. Awful service by a rude waitress. It was clear she had a problem with us within first moment she came to table. She failed to introduce herself, she failed to properly take our order. She failed at speaking to us in general (she literally didn't speak just awkwardly nodded once.) She failed at putting our order in correctly which resulted in an hour of waiting. We literally all ate at separate times. Somehow she thought my son didn't order or she simply failed to hear my sons order? She for some reason made my order to go? .... And had only my moms order brought out by some other person who had no clue where we were sitting. So.... You thought one person got food on table and didn't verify or say one word to us? She clearly having a bad day. She thought my son and I were going to WATCH my mom eat and just sit there with coffee and water? What a moron haha. I was very impressed with First Watch! I started my meal off with a Kale Tonic and coffee. The Kale Tonic was insanely delicious - I was a bit hungover and I felt like this beverage revived me. For my meal I got the seasonal Pumpkin Pancake but swapped the chicken sausage for bacon. So yummy! My fiance got the standard breakfast which was also pretty good! I like how wholesome their meals feel. So happy it's only a bike ride away from me - I would love to go back and try their lunch! read more

Due to the fact that it was holiday, this restaurant should of had a little more organization when it came to joining the waitlist online and walking in and putting your name on the list! There were people who put there name on the list after our party and with many more members of their party and they were seated quicker than we were. We waited over 2 hours when we was told the wait would be a hour!! There were empty tables and no one busing there tables for a quick turn around due to the f at that this location closes at 2:30! We've been multiple times during the week and enjoyed the food and service. Sunday brunch, not so much. First, the advance wait list function on their smartphone app didn't help much. We checked in at the precise time it said our table would be ready but still had to wait another 20 minutes - about the same amount of time that walk-ups seemed to be waiting. No big deal, lesson learned and deleted the app. A bigger deal was waiting over an hour to get our food after ordering. And it wasn't just us, it was just about everyone in our section of the dining room at 10:30 am on a Sunday. Our waiter seemed to indicate it was the massive amount of online orders they were cranking out to the never-ending parade of delivery app drivers. The first time I ever dined here it was amazing. I've been back two more times and that's going to be it for me, at least this particular location. The service was so slow and it wasn't even packed. The food took over 45 mins to come out after our server said no more than 5 more mins. When we finally got our food, it wasn't even hot. It felt like it had been sitting. The taste was very bland and underwhelming. I had to use salt and pepper and then my friend told me there was mold in the pepper grinder. It was covered in mold and I didn't realize this until after I ate my food. I am currently having tightness in my throat. I am okay but another person might not have been. I really like the menu selections at First Watch! I've visited multiple times and will return. My food for the most part has always been to my liking. On my most recent visit, a minor mistake was made of sitting my party at a table that was not being served by a particular server. No one ever came to our table. However, people seated after us were waited on. We had to ask for a server. The young man who came to assist us was extremely nice!!! I wish I had his name. Our server Michael with the long dreads was very rude and stand offish. When I sat down with my party he did not acknowledge me I had to flag down multiple servers for menus and water. It's the insufficient customer service for me (-_-) . I've been a frequent customer of First Watch for years, and I was thrilled when they opened a location in my neighborhood, Madison Yards. I recently visited First Watch (Madison Yards ), and unfortunately I received a level of customer service which encouraged me to never support this establishment again. *I entered the restaurant early in the morning of 8.8.2020, and asked for a table for 1. *Server 1 said sure, we just need some information from you as we are on a wait - no problem. There didn't appear to be a lot of people so no issue there (^_^) *Server 1 asked for my name - no problem. *Server 1 then asked for my phone number - problem (-_-). I did not have a phone. *Server 1 shared that they will need to text me when my table is ready. I reiterated; I did not have a phone. *Server 1 then shared that this was the only way I could be alerted when my table was ready. *I asked could they not use my name, and I stand nearby until my name is called (?) *Server 1 said no, because there were many servers, and they all use the tablet to get the next table (Paraphrasing ) . *Server 2 (standing nearby, shared I could come back in about ten minutes, and table should be ready. *Server 1 then says yes, just keep checking back with us for your table. *I said "Thanks", and left the restaurant never to return again. I want to be fair, and I want to be clear. They were not rude/unprofessional/unkind. They simply did not stop, think, and assess the particular situation in a way that considers the customer experience. In that particular moment, the message sent was this: We only serve customers who have a cell phone and/or provide us with their phone number to text. If you can't receive texts, too bad - you can't eat with us. What about the grandmother who does not have a cell phone? What about the aunt who has a cell phone, but can't receive texts? What about the person who in this age of data privacy/protection simply does not want to OPT IN to receiving texts? What about the person who just lost their phone, had it stolen, broken, etc. ? I am extremely disappointed that no thought or consideration was given to accommodate all types of paying customers. This is not about COVID, because everyone has been using this excuse to provide subpar customer service. This is about accommodating paying customers, and stopping / thinking about when/how your process/procedures make sense, and when they do not make sense. HOWEVER, this prompted me to take an opportunity to commerce with a small business. Since Delia's Chicken Sausage, Moreland Ave, stand is still closed ( Please come back soon ) . I recalled an amazing small business, Le Petit Marche!
