Honestly, their food is absolutely amazing so I really wanted to get them 5 stars BUT: Today we joined their waitlist to get a table, waited for 2 hours in our car outside their restaurant for them to give us a table, the suddenly we aren't on the wait list anymore. We go in to ask them why we weren't on the wait list and they told us we had to check in and we got taken off and the wouldn't be able to give us a table. Yes it was technically sort of our fault because we didn't see in the text that we had to check in at the restaurant, we assumed it was like any other restaurant where they text us when our table is ready. I get that we didn't do it right, but it's a really lame technicality to turn someone away from your restaurant after they waited literally 2 hours to get in. Also they didn't offer any sort of like, a front of the line pass for our wait. My one start rating is because the service was baaaaaadddddd. We had to ask Thomas to be our server after first being told to sit outside by one guy who never brought menus and never looked our way again. Then after moving inside and asking another server if that was okay, also never looking back. Thomas approaches and my husband as "who is the waiter?" He replies, "I can serve you!" He was great. Sure, tables are wiped down, masks are used, checkout line has social distance stickers, but being close to others eating makes other efforts pointless. I am vegan and ordered the rolled oats and substituted with fruit. The oats were not done, and the waitress brought me out cow milk after I asked for oat milk. Every time we come here I am reminded of why I love it. It really is a great breakfast/brunch spot. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because the place was empty and there was a 20 minute wait and because it was colder inside than outside. So that was a Bit frustrating...other than that food was great. My hubs did say his eggs weren't scrambled well...they were hard and the whites weren't mixed well...but they were gone at the end!Pork Sausage was great--loved the links. Went here last week with a friend and has a very lackluster experience. First off we are seated at a dirty table, no problem. I have wipes in my purse and cleaned it. But the floor,omgggg so gross. There was a chunk of MEAT right by our table. Crayon and food under the table. Asked the hostess to have someone clean it. First off why did the hostess seat us ana nasty table to start with?? Someone came and swept the stuff next to the table. I went back to ask her to get someone to sweep under the table. The hostess was very nice and did the cleaning herself. Bathroom wasn't too clean. I came here on a weekend morning for a late breakfast just before the Covid craze started. I was feeling like a basic millenial so I got the avocado toast and my partner got the chickichanga. We also ordered 1 lemon ricotta pancake to share and a Morning Meditation juice. Our waitress ghosted us shortly after taking our order, and we waited as others around us got their food. She finally came back and apologized saying that the manager had kept her. We weren't in a big rush, so didn't pay too much mind to that, but it was odd. The juice was good, but I could not taste the lemon nor the ginger, which would have been my favorite part! It was still good though. The chickichanga was a hit as was the avocado toast, but the best bite I had was of the lemon ricotta pancake. Super yummy! Very cool and smart move, I could tell the chefs knew what they were doing. My meal was spectacular. Incredible! No complaints. I tried the pomegranate cocktail as well, thought I was playing it safe because I originally wanted the kale vodka thing but my friend got it so I also wanted to get something different too so we could try both. Went to the soft opening for this place and had such a great experience. Hostess: very friendly & prompt. Immediate noticed us, greated us & took our names down. I like that their system texts you when it's ready and you can see on yelp where you are in line. It can be frustrating when you have to always go back to the hostess & ask where you are in line. Waitress: When we sat down we were immediately greeted. I liked that they already asked if we wanted coffee (because obviously yes). We were told the specials and felt well taken care of. My biggest thing was how accommodating they were with my friends who are dairy free. They were patient with us as we asked all the questions. I also would like to note i liked that they had coffee up front (including dairy free creamer) although one feed back is to get something that isn't soy. Maybe oat milk or almond milk. especially with this type of neighborhood. Food: Food was excellent. I ordered the Chicichanga. OMG that was delicious. Y'all need to try that. The sour cream tasted fresh. And the inside had a good kick to it. The seasoned potatoes were delicious. Also, order the blue booster drink. That was good too and such a pretty color. I liked that at the end I didn't feel stuffed or overly greasy. My friends ordered the elevate eggs (no dairy) and the avocado toast (no dairy). They enjoyed it as well. Overall the food was good & can't think of something that was bad about it. Overall: I enjoyed the experience!! Some feed back is Oatmilk/Almond Milk instead of just Soy Milk. The door tends to bang in the front so tighten that up because it can be annoying when you're waiting. Also, it's nice to have another breakfast option available. Used to be one of my favorite brunch spots. In May, I came to get a grilled blueberry muffin, and one of the managers, Brian, botched the job. I complained to him and he gave me a $20 "gift card". This came so highly recommended by my friend Mike, who loved the million dollar bacon. I came during Coronageddon so maybe that was it, but the food was really bad. I only ordered the famous million dollar bacon and cheese grits and I struck out on both. The bacon was excessively "pork-y" not bacon-y and the grits were clearly made by someone who has never eaten grits in the south. Not creamy, not seasoned, but greasy with what I remember as "government cheese" from my childhood (yes I am telling my age - and I ain't young). To top it off - I literally ate a partial piece of bacon of a 4 piece order and 1 bite of grits out of the grits and none of the 3 servers I interacted with asked whether I like my food - they literally had 0 fu*^#ks to give. In fact only 1 of the 5-6 people walking the floor seemed to be aware that they were servers (I have 10 years of waiting experience so I may be overly critical).
