Ambiance: The place is spaciously quaint, located in a quiet neighborhood along Flat Shoals. With modern minimalist light fixtures, the velvety mauve glam upholstered booth seating compliments the rose clay mauve painted walls. Service: The service is welcoming, swift and accurate. I only wished my glass of water was refilled before finishing my meal. Food: I ordered the Lobster tail & Grits with a side of Eggs. The lobster tail came with bits of crabmeat, diced peppers and drizzled in roux. In all, my brunch was delicious.

I've been excited about The Brunch at East Atlanta, a Black and woman-owned spot just outside East Atlanta Village, and finally visited for Saturday brunch. The decor is stylish, fitting right into the neighborhood, and the diverse crowd confirmed this was a much-needed addition. The menu pricing is competitive with Atlanta's brunch scene but slightly more reasonable by about $5-6. I ordered the chicken and waffles with a Parisian Nights cocktail, while my dining partner had salmon and grits with a mimosa. The food arrived hot, though service was a bit slow. The fried chicken was flavorful and perfectly golden--something I'd order again. The waffle was lighter and softer than I prefer but still delicious and didn't need syrup. The salmon and grits were tasty but seemed overpriced at $27 for just those two items; adding a side would make it more worth it. Overall, this spot has potential. Expanding the menu and refining portions could make it even better. I'm rooting for this Black-owned gem to thrive in the neighborhood!

This place was a nice and family friendly place the food was amazing ( especially there grits and lemon pepper wings) they even top it off with a flower for a picture perfect moment it took about 20 mins for the food to come out to me that's reasonable also the drinks were amazing I just got a lemonade with sprite but I loved it the water on the other hand was not so good but others may like it overall 8/10 will come again

Attentive staff, good food, spacious with beautiful decor, and uplifting music. I highly recommend this place.

I got the lamb chops with eggs and potatoes, and while the food came out in a reasonable amount of time, I was pretty underwhelmed. The meal lacked flavor and didn't live up to the price. It felt overpriced for what you get, and I ended up only eating about half of it. One thing I will say is that it's great they serve halal meat, which is hard to find at brunch spots, at least from what I've seen. So I do appreciate that. Unfortunately, the food just didn't hit for me.

The atmosphere and the ambiance is amazing and to go to for Brunch. I came in with my gal and we had an amazing time. The food was delicious. My friend did not like the grits so much. The service was top notch and wonderful. I would love to come back again.

Walking into this restaurant, there was peace, pleasant, & calm atmosphere. Everyone was polite, kind, and respectful. The staff was excellent on how they greeted you with respect. Everything on the menu was healthy. The chicken & waffles with the grits was the best. The grits was so creamy & good. The lamb chops with the asparagus season well. These are just a few things that I had off the menu. I will definitely come back to chill & enjoy good food. This is the type of place friends and family can come out to spend time together. They have drinks on all different levels. I recommend you go check them out. Sista Kay keeping it real with you.

    1. Staff knew all the right words but no follow through. We sat at the bar. The host said "Let us get this cleaned off for you" and it was never wiped down. I even very obviously started moving crumbs away from my space and the bar tender never paused to clean the area. 2. Food: yikes!!! Not bad but not fresh. My avocado toast was fake. It was very clearly the package guacamole from the grocery store. Totally something I can do myself...throw some bread in the toaster, slap some processed guacamole on top and serve. 3. All that ambience...modern barn doors and gold accents. Then they gave us plastic forks. When we asked for real silverware the response was "I will try to find some" 4. The kicker to the plastic ware was we had LAMB chops !!! A plastic knife trying to cut a lamb chop. 5. Speaking of the lamb, another pre packaged processed item. Very much like the heat and serve lamb at your local grocery store. Fake grill marks and bottled liquid smoke to try to trick the palate.

We arrived about two hours prior to them closing, which turned out to be perfect, as we beat the crowd and before they stopped taking orders. That was my only negative observation, many people were turned away nearly an hour before closing. I know I would have been upset if I drove all the way to Decatur and couldn't place an order. Hopefully, they will improve their processes so everyone can experience the greatness that they're cooking up! When we arrived, one of the owners greeted us with a lively personality. She handed us menus and told us to select a seat. The seating is spacious, and you can opt to sit at the bar, a table, or outdoors. It's open seating, so it's first come, first served. After selecting a seat, our server arrived shortly thereafter and let us know that the shrimp fries were out of stock before we ordered. We were hungry, so we already knew what we wanted to order. I chose the "THAT SH!T SLAMBING" with feta cheese, initially opting out of the fries, but I don't think the server heard me, and my husband ordered the "Who Wants Beef" with fries. Everything was cooked fresh to order, so there was a slight wait. I would recommend planning accordingly if you're really hungry, as the wait maybe longer than expected. We also shared a Jumex Nectar, as they only had one left. While waiting, I was told they were out of feta cheese, though I saw a dish with feta come out after ours; however, they may have ordered it before us. I was still a bit disappointed, as I believe the feta would have taken my lamb burger to another level. When our food arrived, it was hot and fresh. I was glad I ended up with fries, as I was hungrier than I thought. The burgers were amazing and seasoned to perfection. You can tell the chef is cooking with passion, as you can taste it in every bite. I also appreciate that they utilize farm-to-block sourcing, providing fresh, handcrafted, high-quality food. If you've been considering dining here, don't hesitate any longer, just go! Be sure to arrive early or call ahead for takeout. I highly recommend this place and look forward to visiting again!

This took over the Bun Factory (?) location. Hopefully this restaurant does well. The lot is quite and therefore parking will never be an issue. We were here early there were 2 other tables already eating. While we were shoveling our delicious food, 3 other groups came in. The hubby had nasi padang - beef rendang, curried chicken, sambal egg and collard for the fusion on rice (nasi) and 2 other types of sambal to accompany your proteins. I tried the chicken, I loved the flavour, it was tender and moist. I didn't try the rendang and therefore can't comment. My husband liked it. The sambal egg was delicious he said. I ordered the tilapia goreng (fried tilapia). If like me you love fish, this is a treat. The entire tilapia was deep fried, not oily and so crispy, I could eat everything. The fish was accompanied by a serving of rice, a few slices of tomatoes and a few slices of cucumber. So fresh. Also a sambal (of a different kind) from what we already have on our plate. I requested for sambal hijau (green sambal) to go with my fish. So good. Perfectly seasoned fish, no fishy smell. Between us, we shared a chendol, green noodlely things in coconut milk and gula melaka (palm sugar). It's a cold dessert, mildly sweet and fragrant because of the coconut milk. Try it on a hot summer's day. Very refreshing. On Friday and Saturday, they have a AYCE Indonesian fare buffet for $25. Taxes not included yet. But I'm going to say it's going to be great just judging by the food we had today. BTW, the chef Ibu herself is an Indonesia cuisine trained cook. So you know.....

After asking some questions about the menu (to which Mohammed responded happily and patiently), I ordered the Nasi Godeg looking for a hearty veggie dish and boy was I not disappointed. Amazing flavors, portion size, and excellent customer service. They also have a small market and a section for clothing. This place is definitely a new fav. Give it a try!
