Ok so I'm changing my one star to 3. It was a total shit show but before we left the manager cam to apologize and gave us our meal for free. It was the perfect storm but at least they made the effort at the end. I hate doing this because the First Watch by my house is epic. This location was a total fail though. We used the app to get in line, we show up to check in and the lady was rude and said they would let us know. We come back in to see if they were ready but they said we weren't on the list after waiting 45 minutes. We finally sit down and the waitress was great, flustered but had a good attitude. oh first watch centennial you made me so sad. i'm not a huge fan of chains but i've found first watch to be solid and consistent so when i'm near one i'm willing to go in. we didn't have to wait when we came in on a snowy sunday so that was a plus. The layout of this location is just strange. it's at a corner unit in a strip mall which makes parking a nightmare. in addition i think they bought 2 stores and trying to combine them into one? we were awkwardly seated at a two person table that was literally halfway in the doorway. overall the layout and feel of this location just felt confused. there were random chairs just hanging out and we were also adjacent to the chair graveyard so it was a high traffic awkward area blah. onto the food. wtf first watch? your menu shrunk okay that's great but the descriptions... dear god i couldn't even decide wtf i wanted to eat because i felt like i was reading a gdamn encyclopedia to decipher what i wanted to eat. we ended up settling a chicken-changa and basic breakfast. i was just disappointed with my basic breakfast that it included 3 items no problem but it was $12 for 1 sausage, waffles and 2 eggs. one of the eggs was broken upon arrival. you can see the pictures. i get it. no one is perfect but you're a B R E A K F A S T place. it's pretty shameful if you're not even prideful of the work you put out. This restaurant is nicely decorated and very clean. The waiter was helpful, friendly and very efficient. I ordered a half Monterey sandwich with a Honey Pecan salad, both of which were delicious. The only problem I had was when I went to pay the check. The hostess at the register thought it more important to text on her phone than to help me, so I stood there for several minutes until she finished. They seated us right away and a waiter was taking our drink order within a minute! For the meal itself I got the Skillet Hash: Farmhouse. It was so good! My friend and I were originally going to go to Little Anitas which WAS right by them, but found out the hard way it closed down so we figured we would check this place out as it looked busy "covid busy" and soooo glad we did!! Iced Coffee has some sort of magic in it?! The bacon--holy moly!!! I could have eaten 2 orders of that and been happy. My friend ordered the veggie sandwich and thought it was okay--the highlight was the bread (which we found out we could buy a loaf of it--which duh. We did.) and then I had the avocado toast. Read on line from the MSN reviews praises of the Ricotta Lemon pancakes, already had good experiences with their other dishes like the Shrimp and Grits, so came in for the usual good breakfast . They were out of shrimp, so we tried the the new Elote street corn dish with chicken sausage, as well as trying the Ricotta pancakes. I have made my own ricotta pancakes at home and I know what they taste like, but apparently they served regular pancakes calling themselves that, no ricotta taste at all (a little lemon custard on top of the rather dry regular pancakes. My wife got an OK dish with a couple of tablespoons of the street corn rationed into it, a lot more potatoes to supplement it. REALLY disappointing meal, compared to previous really good ones. read more

Roast Beef with Havarti and a side of soup or salad. A chain restaurant doesn't give much possibility for changes so expect a limited menu, excellent Progresso soup (I'd swear it is but reliably good with a little parsley added) it was just not hot and a microwave zap was denied.
