    Sashimi
    Justin T.

One of the better sushi spots in Colorado -- maybe my favorite overall. I've been here twice and would absolutely come more often if it were closer to me. The sushi, sashimi, and omakase are all outstanding. The quality is consistently exceptional. The restaurant itself is a nice, medium-sized, upscale sushi spot tucked into a strip mall. The service has always been attentive and friendly. One thing I really appreciate is that many of the specialty rolls come with dipping sauces that truly elevate the flavors and make the dishes stand out. Highly recommend. I'll definitely be back.

Another great lunch here today. Spicy edamame is a fantastic way to start the meal. I went with my three reliables...the Rocky Mountain, Caterpillar, and New York. Disappointed to see the New York isn't on the menu anymore, I was happy to learn they'll still make it if you write it in the space provided. Score! My daughter got the Philly, California, and she tried the Tiger for the first time. While she liked the Tiger, she was a little freaked out by the shrimp on top (yes, I know). Not sure she'd get it again because of that. She liked my New York the best and the Rocky Mountain the least. Service is always attentive and great.

This place offers good quality fresh fish and recently they started offering dry aged salmon, tuna and hamachi. Service is always great! We love coming in here for dinners or happy hour.

Happy hour lunch? Yes, please! We had the tempura mix, miso soup, Tiger Roll, Rocky Mountain roll, and spicy tuna. All were delicious. I wish the RM roll was spicier, the jalapeno was lost. But it was an excellent deal and tasty and so we will definitely be back!

    Great specialty rolls.

Our party of 18 came here last night for a birthday dinner. The entire staff from making the reservation to getting seated to receiving incredibly friendly and prompt service was amazing. Although they didn't have uni or hot sake, we still had a blast. My family had a great time and the quality of the sushi of this place is why we wanted to bring the whole family! They were able to put all the tables together to fit all 18 of us and we couldn't be more appreciative for that! Thank you to the attentive staff who always made sure our cups were filled with water and frequently checking if we needed anything else.

Came here for lunch on MLK which meant no Happy Hour menu. Ordered very simple, Asaka roll , Cali Roll and an order of Goyza. Goyza came out quick like 2 minutes, it was very good. Asaka roll was ok I think the lemon sliver on top was weird to me. Would definitely recommend.

This place is super cute. I was my first time dining here and I kinda went crazy lol I'm not a super fan of sushi but I'm definitely in my exploring phase. There was nothing I didn't like. Everything was very good and the service was excellent !

This restaurant made me really stomach sick. I eat raw sushi almost every weekend, and this is the first sushi restaurant in Denver that has ever made me sick! The staff & service was great, however. Prices were a bit high compared to other restaurants as well.

Our go to sushi place! It is simply the freshest and best! We can't find any place that beats it. Their rolls are creative, fresh and best I've had in Denver. Everyone we take there agrees it's the best! And the service is excellent

Y'all this is a MUST!!! Their happy hour is such a steal, absolutely loved it all. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We may have accidentally entered through the back Enterance instead of the main - we loved the miso, sushi and appetizers. Super duper yummy!

Let me first…read moresay that the service was extremely friendly and I liked it a lot, which makes me feel bad about what I'm about to say. Please note that I tried things that other people have mentioned in their reviews as things they liked. I had the crunchy tuna appetizer, which was essentially several golf ball sized lumps of rice deep fried, with a tiny amount of tuna and I think avocado on top. It probably should have been called the crunchy rice appetizer, and really was not, to me, worth $14. Next up was the Joker roll, which I believe is mentioned by more than one person as their favorite thing here. If you like pepper, it's the roll for you. I have never had such a peppery sushi roll in my life and I did not like it. My final roll was the mango roll. Now I know what mangoes are and I knew what I was getting, so I can't really blame the restaurant for the fact that I guess I've learned I'm not a big fan of sushi rolls with fruit on them. It was well made for what it was, just not my particular favorite. The miso soup was lovely. The restaurant was nice and clean and as I have said, the service was impeccable, friendly, really everything you would want. Which is all the more reason I was disappointed that the food did not ring a bell with me. If you go to this restaurant, I would suggest you avoid the things I've mentioned and perhaps try some others. You may have better luck than I did, and you will be served well in the process.

This place, unfortunately, failed to impress me. Here is how my takeout order went today…read more A good size sushi restaurant. The elaborate wallpaper and wall art inside were a bit too over-the-top and yet, I can simply say that they paid attention to create what the restaurant names says it: Sakura. It's pretty much pink. Each table is also beautifully done on the surface with Sakura art. Kind of cute. Service - Good. The lady who greeted me asked me "How many?" to which I said "To go, please." She immediately handed me the laminated menu so I can mark with a pen and the regular menu booklet. From the moment I gave her my order and the moment I got my food, there was only 5 minutes or less time that elapsed. I was a bit shocked how quickly they prepared my food (she said I was the first person to place an order for the night. Well, Whereas I am not complaining about the fast service, it was suspiciously too fast!!) Mistake - As soon as I got home, I opened the bag. The kitchen or possibly the lady who got my order made a mistake by giving me the miso soup instead of salad (miso soup or salad comes with the Sashimi Dinner ($32.00 as of mid-August of 2025). I clearly and loudly said I wanted the salad but in her mind, the salad became the miso soup (LOL). Although I don't think it was intentional, mistake is a mistake. A bit disappointed....Well, you wanna know how the miso soup tasted? It was decent! Food - What I got tonight are/were...1) Sashimi Dinner, Edamame ($6.00) and, 3) Side White Rice ($3) and I think in this kind of economy, these prices are fairly in range. Let me rate each one. Sashimi Dinner - It was okay-ish. It didn't impress me. I really don't have anything more to say about this sashimi plate. Edamame - Good and yet they didn't sprinkle any salt (I don't think). Maybe they knew I hate salt (LOL!!) Well, in many cases, I dislike salty dishes so to be considerate of people who dislike salty stuff, this is what the restaurant does by not sprinkle any salt over steamed edamame (so in other words, "salt it yourself" type situation?) I guess this isn't a bad thing after all. White Rice - Meh. It tasted like hand lotion a little bit. I have an experience with this and that is why I am very sensitive to it (unfortunately, it was my own mother who used hand lotion before she prepared food/meals for me and my brother so some food she cooked/prepared for us tasted just like hand lotion.) I can have a benefit of the doubt that they wouldn't be so insensitive by handling food with lotioned-up hands. Or maybe it's the kind of rice they buy. Whatever the case may be, this rice was no no for me. Yes, there are a few things I can talk about this restaurant in a positive way but all in all, it was a disappointing experience. Will I go back? Maybe not.
