We sat here for 45 minutes waiting on our food. Bacon came out undercooked and cold. Coffee was forgotten about. After I lost patience and spoke to the manager she comped the food and they started bringing our food out. Cold. Kidd pancakes were COLD. AND HAD two long hairs we pulled off right in front of the server. The chili chorizo omelet was cold and over cooked. We didn't even eat. We tipped the waitress and left. Complete garbage. Bitter orange juice tasted disgusting -- and even the waitress said multiple people complained about the taste so she even checked the expiration date to make sure it's not spoiled...yikes. The French toast was so bland. The only good part was the fruit on top, and even then they loaded it with bananas and barely any kiwi or strawberries. I've been at a different first watch and have reviewed it before and again, I'd say that it didn't fall short of perfect. I love this place so much and I wish there was one right across the street from my house because I truly can't get enough. From the bread, to the eggs, to the toppings, to the French toast, everything is truly mouth watering goodness. Just reminiscing of my breakfast makes my mouth water. This is the best breakfast place in the area... don't be fooled by the fact that it's a chain - it does not fall under your standard chain restaurant stereotype (in fact, we wouldn't have known it was a chain unless our awesome waiter told us the history of everything). The food is delicious and has a variety of unique flavor combinations you don't see often and wouldn't expect. The "seasonal" million dollar bacon (cayenne pepper and maple syrup) should not be skipped... its heavenly pork! Stopped in for breakfast today (11/11/18) on our way out of town.. the GPS brought us to the Champions Gate location. Even though there appeared to be several groups of people waiting for tables, we got seated right away. The place is nicely decorated and appointed. My wife ordered the BACADO omelette - I went with The Works omelette. I felt the BACADO was more to my liking. The Works, while stuffed with ham, bacon, sausage and cheese didn't really come together well. Also, the quality of the ham and sausage left something to be desired.. honestly, it tasted like ingredients taken out of a local grocery and not what you might expect from a restaurant. We asked for a couple of waters, one for me, one for the wife, they brought us one glass of water and a carafe - never brought the 2nd glass. Additionally, we asked for a refill on the coffee - that also never came.. at the end of the day, we didn't feel it was worth the drive and money ($34 including tip) Addition(11/14): the restaurant has reached out to me regarding my review and I appreciate that. Nice and close to home but the problem is there is always a wait, and it's not because it's popular it's because the logistics are horrible. They can never seem to match the service to the demand at this place and because of that the quality suffers. It's probably worth it to drive the extra 10 minutes to go to the first watch on US 27. read more

This is not the type of jewel I expected to find along a busy street. The meal my husband and I had was delicious! I had the Chickichanga and I promise you it did not disappoint! My family came here on vacation when I slept in, but luckily loved it and wanted to come back. They raved about the food and it didn't disappoint. I ordered the short rib omelet which was delicious! I was able to get a few bites of my nephews French toast with warmed syrup. Yummy! The sausage links were good and they have plenty of healthy options. My side was a tasty green salad but the fried potatoes I tasted were very good. Loved everything I tried. The customer service was just as good as the food. Great place to eat breakfast. Definitely found our new place for breakfast. They have great breakfast selection with good coffee and the waffles and pancakes are very good. One of us also ordered an avocado toast that was amazing. Basically everything we ordered came fast and tasted great + service was good. Overall 9 out of 10. We didn't have to wait long to get seated luckily because we downloaded the app first but other people waited 45 mins to an hour . When we sat down we ordered drinks and the coffee came out cold . 50 minutes later our food came out cold as well . My kids were starving waiting almost an hour to eat . We had the veg omelette which had goat cheese and was heavenly. The potatoes are perfectly cooked and taste so good but they also had greens as a side if you don't want carbs. And guys, they have gluten free toast! That was seriously a life savor for me. Everything was first class Lastly, this company appears to be environmentally friendly, unlike every other restaurant we went to this far. I agree with the reviews that said this place sucks. I have been to other First watch locations that are good, however this one isn't. Last time I was here was a few weeks ago on a Saturday morning to pick up a carryout order. I arrived at the time my order should have been ready and there were no take out orders on the pick up order table. After waiting about 10 minutes, the hostess advised that my order would be out shortly and asked that I wait outside and they would let me know when the order was ready. I was glad I had ordered take out, as there was no social distancing being enforced with people waiting for tables, or the line outside. Clearly they were busy, but I waited for my take out order another 10 minutes outside when a customer leaving the restaurant, told me there were take out orders waiting inside. I went in to get my order and asked to see a manager. I understand they were busy, but I placed an online order and they had all my contact info to notify me that my order was delayed, yet had to wait 20 minutes, was told to wait outside and no one notified me my order was ready, other than a customer leaving the restaurant. I have no idea how long my order was just sitting on the take out table and how many other people may have touched it looking for their order. A manager finally came over and I explained what had happened. She offered me some kind of coupons that I wasn't interested in. I asked for a refund of my order, which she seemed reluctant to do, saying she would have to get a lot of information and then would need to send it to corporate. I said that was fine and she took my information (it took an extra few minutes). My refund was processed in about 5 days, so did receive that. I shouldn't have had to wait that long, then wait longer for the manager, only to end up with cold food. I ended up getting a full refund, but that wasn't the point, they are clearly short-staffed, there is no safety protocol enforcement and quality of service is bad. Took a bit for our waitress to come by but when she things move very fast. From order to delivery very quick. I ordered the Works omelette and must say it is one of the best and most flavorful breakfast I have had in a long time. Huge Mushrooms so fresh you would think they were harvested this morning. The big let down for me was the sausage. Cold so cold almost freezer cold. Too bad cause everything else was awesome. Avoid this location. I've been to First Watch in multiple states and never had I not even gotten my order served. They close at 2:30pm, we arrived around 1:50pm, so not sure why our waiter was in such a hurry. He was getting frustrated because he couldn't do his job. They messed up our drinks and it took probably 45 minutes or longer before we got our food. In that time the server did not come back once. We had 3 pancakes and biscuits and gravy.
