I was looking for a breakfast a little closer to home than Dr. Phillips and found First Watch on Yelp. They delivered on every point I expect from a breakfast place, the Three F's: *Fast! *Fresh! *Friendly! Plus, I love the pitcher of water on the table for refills, it reminds me of my trip to Greece last year. My husband loved the newspapers at the front door - it was very relaxing for him to sit with a fresh cup of coffee and read the sports page. I had the chocolate chip pancake. I was a little worried because it said "whole grain," but I didn't need to. It was rich and cakey perfection! My husband had the SoCal wrap and he loved it. We shared a side of potatoes and they were great too! One side is plenty enough for 2 people to share. This is not the First Watch I remember as a child... it's way, WAY better! Did I miss the First Watch rebrand? We don't have First Watch in Chicago, so I've only ever had the opportunity to eat at one while on vacation on Florida. I must say I was really impressed! Went in with the assumption it was the same place I last went when I was 19, but upon walking in realized they totally upgraded! This location was was nicer than any other one I had been to before. We went on a Thursday morning, and there wasn't any wait, and we were seated quickly. Our server Erin was the absolute best. Super attentive and offered some amazing recommendations. I took the Chickichanga, and I loved it! Crunchy tortilla, filled with fluffy eggs and tender chicken, smothered in a cheese sauce. What's not the love! The breakfast potato side was pretty good as well. I'd definitely dine at another First Watch if given the opportunity! Solid breakfast choice with lots of different options for every taste. I've been to First Watch a few times for breakfast, but this was my first time visiting for lunch. This location is brand spankin' new and it shows!! I really liked the rustic decor and unique table designs. On the flip side, I believe they are still dealing with some "growing pains" given the fact that they are so new. The service was pretty slow and our server wasn't the friendliest. She wasn't rude or anything, she was just very distracted and seemed overwhelmed at times. Also the table we sat at (second table from the window, chairs on one side, booth on the other) had a very uncomfortable wooden backing. It almost seemed unfinished, and both my friend and I kept getting our shirts snagged on it throughout the meal. For lunch, I opted for the Two for You lunch special with the tomato soup and market veggie sandwich. The soup was actually pretty disappointing. To me, it tasted like it was straight out of a can. I'm used to thicker tomato soup, but mine was very watery. I definitely would not order that again. The sandwich was very tasty. I'll definitely be back, but I think I'll stick to the breakfast menu next time. read more

Every FW location I have visited has been consistently high quality food. Not always the healthiest (watch for some BIG sugar hits) BUT the reason I know is they are one of the few restaurants that you can go to their APP and see the nutritional contents of every meal (excluding the sides) Sooooo...you can adjust and substitute as you see fit. I really liked this place. Our server was extremely friendly, to the point where after he'd walked away I muttered "I like that guy, he's nice." The decor suits me very well, where it's 60% hipster eatery and doesn't overdo it. Lots of wood, filament light bulbs. I saw that they had lemon ricotta pancakes and had to try it. I'm not even lemon people, but I know a few that I may want to take here, so I bit the bullet. They were quite good. I think a dollop of ricotta on top, next to the lemon curd, would have gone over very well but I have no complaints and neither will my lemon people. My friend got the eggs Benedict and it was likewise very good. The potatoes were seasoned just where I like them, with some additional heat. I couldn't even pin down what kind of heat it was. It may have just been strong pepper. I'm looking forward to returning with some guests soon. read more

Every visit is truly a treat when we go. The food always comes in a timely manner considering how busy this location is. I wish they would have picked a better location because this is one of the smallest First Watch I've ever been too. It's just not big enough to accommodate the kind of traffic it gets and unfortunately that sometimes shows in the service and food quality. All in all, a great place for breakfast and brunch. My biggest tip is to download their app and check-in ahead of time. But note that you cannot check in with more then 6 in your party. read more

Had the best service today! I wish I would have remembered our servers name, she was so so sweet! I ordered the trifecta minus eggs and plus potatoes along with bacon and chocolate chip pancake. As well as lemon ricotta pancakes and my husband ordered a farmhouse hash. My usual which is the trifecta was delicious as always, I love that First Watch doesn't burn their bacon to a crisp. And their pancake was so warm and fluffy! I also tried my sisters lemon ricotta pancake and it was so fluffy and tasted almost like a lemon pound cake! So yummy! My husband devoured his hash, it was his second time at a first watch (first one was in Arizona last week) and he LOVES IT! too bad they're are no locations in SoCal!!!! My boyfriend and I were looking for a good breakfast spot, and luckily we found First Watch! It was our first time and Jermaine took great care of us. He recommend the Caramel crunch cinnamon roll, Chickichanga, and the Elevated Egg Sandwich, which happened to be all of the menu items we were already looking at. The cinnamon roll was the perfect amount of sweet, we loved every bite. The Chickichanga surprised us, it almost looks like it would taste like a Benedict but the Vera Cruz sauce was way better, it's almost like a lemon custard. And the Elevated Egg Sandwich was simple yet delicious, it didn't fall apart, and the lemon arugula gave it a unique flavor. Also a little shoutout to the iced coffee, normally iced coffee is boring but whatever they put in theirs is anything but, it was so delicious. When you order your eggs Benedict Make sure to stress you want your eggs over easy because it's not obvious that they should be. I had to send mine back, they did replace it however but by the time it came everybody on my table was already finished with their meal. Complaints about a busy restaurant? To me that just means they're good! We made a reservation, walked in, and were seated immediately. Within two minutes the waiter was asking what we would like. Matthew was awesome! We ordered shortly after that & the food came out within 10 minutes. And as you can see from the pictures the restaurant was at least 75% full. Yes, the weekends might have a line but you can use the online reservation system to cut down your wait. The area is classy and well landscaped. It was worth the 30 minute drive I made! 2nd time eating at First Watch and had another great experience. I had the traditional breakfast with chicken sausage and egg whites which were yummy. The potatoes were on point too. The only thing i could ask to be better is to get a whole pieces of toast instead of 1 slice cut in half. The egg omelet was not as great with sliced turkey inside. Very bland and alot to be desired.
