Pumped these kind of restaurants are popping up on the westside!! So I'm a big breakfast guy, and this place has a wide variety of fresh flavors. I've been a few times now. I usually try something different and haven't been let down. Farmers and the Market Hashers, to Eggs Benedict (with a few varieties of each) all very bold and flavorful. They have specials which is cool. A lot of healthy options if you are into that. Plates have been coming with sides of delicious thick whole grain bread and fruit. Solid coffee and breakfast drinks to wash it all down. Even fresh brew in the waiting area... Decor is pretty solid very rustic hgtv like. Of course they have simple stuff two like eggs and bacon , biscuits and gravy but I'm not that kind of dude. My few reasons it's not s 5 star , -it's usually busy so expect a wait if you have more than 4 people. TIP: utilize the community table!! First come first serve ! Also they use the app NoWait which lets you know wait times and place in line Last but not least...how are you going to be a breakfast place in Cincinnati and not have goetta?? Word to the wise: on a Friday morning at 9:30, this place was SLAMMED!!!! It is a neighborhood gold mine! I mean I enjoyed it but there was a whole slew of people waiting in line for seats when we were on our way out! That being said, you can have your pick of the prime seats at 8:45. Early gets the omelette I guess. Service was perfect, especially for as crowded as they were. Kept my water topped up and left me my own coffee pot for self-service. I got a chorizo omelette, and shockingly it came with an enormous side of hash browns (I guess I didn't read past 'chorizo', oops) AND English muffin. Needless to say, I couldn't even come close to finishing, but recommended if you're needing some serious nutrition to kickstart your day. On the other hand. You really ought to go with the yogurt/granola/fruit crepe. So much yummier. read more

First Watch is the best breakfast place we've ever came across. We go out for breakfast ever Saturday & Sunday morning and we try to switch it up to try new places. It always seems to be hit or miss until First Watch. This place is ALWAYS fresh, consistent, friendly and clean. The AM Superfood Bowl & Morning Meditation is my first choice but there's so many great things! The Salmon or Veggie Frittata are fantastic as well. Get crazy and try anything on the menu... I had been an early regular at First Watch until yesterday. For some reason, they have decided they can't open until 9:00 a.m. now, when they used to open at 7:00 a.m. Now, I realize many places are having trouble getting people, but, I thought First Watch was different. Apparently not. Even more frustrating is that the manager was inside at 7:00 a.m., but let the phone ring...and ring...and ring... At the very least, I would have thought an apologetic phone message would have been appropriate...but I guess it's 'out of sight...out of mind' and they'll just ignore what used to be a regular customer. The even more amazing part is that the IHOP right around the corner on Glenway manages to stay open 24/7...and has good service. Went in for the first time on the grand opening to grab a carry out order. Everything I ordered was perfect including garnishes, utensils, and extra condiments were in the bag. Very fast carry out service, as well as a very friendly staff!The food was excellent! I had an overall great experience! I went back in for my second visit I used the no wait app on a busy Saturday morning checked in with the host when I arrived, waited 5 minutes and then was seated! This is the first time I've been here since it opened. The first time was awful. Mainly because of the service. I gotta say, they really pulled their stuff together. First the wait I was told was 15-20 minutes but we were seated in 5. Then we were given the nicest server I've had in a long time. She was prompt and attentive and you can tell she cared. Exactly how it's supposed to be. I ordered the egg Benedict florentine. Imo there was a bit too much spinach but that's just personal preference. The hollandaise sauce made this. It was great. I also got their soup of the day, a chicken and wild rice bowl, and it was amazing. I did order to come first and it came after my other food but that's not a big deal to me. The server saw this and came over and apologized profusely which tells me she knew it was supposed to come out first but someone else probably took it for another table. My favorite part about this chain is the fact that all the food feels fresh. Check out my pictures to see what I mean. Sadly though that quality comes with a price and that's the sole reason I'm leaving 4 stars. I feel that the price premium isn't justified and that this place however delicious it is, is overpriced. I have never been to ANY First Watch, before trying the new location on the west side (finally, the west side starts getting new restaurants!) Truth be told, I'm not a lover of breakfast, in general, so if I'm going to like it, it better be awesome. I also have a hard time spending $12 on eggs - perspective. We got right in (my son and I) on a Monday mid-morning - loved the inside. It's beautifully decorated. I love that they have an open kitchen. Our server was awesome throughout our whole experience (helpful, on top of things and had a smile!). I loved the attention to details. (fun creamers, beautiful syrup bottle, coffee urns, beautiful plating, not having to ask for condiments, chalula as the hot sauce choice). I really enjoyed the coffee, too. My son ordered the Trifecta - chocolate chip pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon. He LOVED his chocolate chip pancakes (and his hot chocolate!) I ordered the Key West Crepeggs - this is where the 3 star rating comes in. I just wasn't impressed with the food. To me, it was just "eh". I thought the potatoes were boring and not seasoned enough. My english muffin was a little hard. There was a lot of avocado in my eggs (yah!) but again, underwhelmed. Again, it wasn't bad nor did First Watch do anything wrong. In fact, I loved my whole experience except for the food. I'm sure I'll be back but it's not on my "love" list. read more

If I could give a 1/2 or No star rating I would. The experience was a joke from start to finish. While waiting for a table on a Saturday morning around 11AM, I learned they have an app that allows you to actually set a reservation before arriving. I learned this as the hostess called out "Papa Dom" twice, and then under her breath said "Who leaves a name like that for a reservation?!" We were seated and I ordered a traditional breakfast of eggs (over easy), bacon, toast and potatoes, along with a coke and water. About 15 minutes into waiting for our food, I had to ask another waitress to bring my drinks as our first waitress seemed to have forgotten about us. Thank goodness my daughter had her coffee to keep her happy. The eggs came out so over well, they were like rubber that could bounce on the floor. They did replace them, but by this point, I was already jaded with my lack of drink concern. Any good waitress knows that a way to a customers heart is through great refill service. Yah, speaking of refills, I had to ask for one...again, from another server, not our own as ours seemed to be too preoccupied with other stuff. Had to wait for our check at the end to so we could pay. The cherry on top of this debacle of a brunch is that when I told the cashier about our experience, her quote was "that is not my department, the manager is back there" pointing to the someone walking towards the kitchen. I just decided YELP would be a better place that was truly concerned with my experience. I will NOT recommend First Watch, especially the location at Harrison Greene in Cincinnati, OH or anywhere else for that matter. This meal was over-priced and under-whelming for the service, taste and overall experience. read more

I went to first watch yesterday February 28, 2020 and had lunch with my granddaughter. We had the chicken quinoa bowl. It was great just like all the food That I have tried. All the waitresses are great but a shout out to Jena!! Every time I go in to first watch Jena is working but I've never had the pleasure of her waiting on me; even my granddaughter said "that's the best waitress" at First Watch. Always great service and good food. I love that they take call ahead in the yelp app. This place is always busy when we want to come so having the time quoted in yelp is awesome. Went here for breakfast Saturday. The menu had so many great options I didn't know what to choose. I got a burrito and my husband had the breakfast tacos. The food was delicious. The tacos weren't enough to fill up my husband (which is surprising because he usually doesn't finish his plate) but it was ok bc I couldn't eat my whole burrito so he finished it. I would love to go back to try some other menu items. Only thing (and it could be a coincidence) we both had a bit of an upset stomach after eating. This is a great location for First Watch. I came here for my free Birthday meal. I ordered the Farm House Skillet Hash. It had plenty of crispy & delicious bacon. The potatoes were crunchy on the outside & so good. There were big onions and big slices of avacodo. The multi-grain toast was thick and delicious. I was given a milk bottle of cold water to refill my glass. The service was friendly. My meal was quickly brought to me and was the perfect temperature. The restaurant is clean, bright and spacious. My only complaint is that the tables are just a bit too high which makes eating the meal not as comfortable as it should be. read more

I loooove first watch. Go to any other location besides this one. Unwelcoming, slow and very rude staff. We went directly to the patio because we had dogs w us. We sent someone from our party to the hostess stand right away. Our friend said that we just got here and we are on the patio, we have dogs that's why we didn't come in. She was quick to be rude and say that she would appreciate if we checked in with her first. He asked "so you want us to bring two dogs in here?" And she rolled her eyes and gave him menus. It took 15 minutes for a server to come out. She was very very nice but very slow. When it was time to check out the boy in our group went back in to settle the check. It was all on one and he asked the man at the register how to spilt it up and that he wanted all the drinks on his. Another girl standing by rudely said "it's separated by seat!!" ... after he came back out we were finishing our drinks .. we were the last table but the last few tables left moments before us. Another girl that we have never seen came out and said "do you need anything else!??" - rudely .. we said no and she rolled her eyes and walked back in. Our cards were all messed up as far as what each of us were charged for. When my sister called two days later the manager was even rude to her!!!! The vibes are way too far off. Not a happy place. I was pleasantly surprised by our visit here. This is a new location and the layout/design seems different from other First Watch locations in Cincinnati. This one is much more open and bright. The staff seemed a little harried, but we were well taken care of. The food was excellent. I had the pumpkin pancake breakfast that came with an apple sausage and some kind of starch I can't remember now. But I cleared my plate. Abby had an omelette that she also enjoyed a lot. It's a little expensive for breakfast (about $25 for the two of us), but you also get the "sit-down" experience, and a lot of food. We were quite satisfied. I'd definitely recommend this place for a brunch or a nice breakfast. read more

We had good service, especially since the place was crowded and at times the wait line was almost to the door; suggest using the Yelp app to save a place in line - we walked in and we're seated immediately. We used to love this place, and had great food and service. However, the last few times we have been here we have had terrible service. So today will be the last. After waiting for 45 minutes to receive our food, it came out cold, poorly prepared, and missing scrambled eggs. We sent back the cold biscuits and gravy and potatoes to have it returned hot, but with the potatoes missing. We were starving by this point so we stayed and ate. The server apologized and deducted two of the entrees, but it was too late. I would not recommend this location. It is too much of a gamble as to whether you will get a decent meal and service. The only common factor to our bad experience is it is always when we have one particular server. I don't know if that is the driving factor, but it isn't worth trying again to find out. read more

Decor: A+. Customer Service A-. Quality of the food B+. Overall experience is a solid A. I went for brunch with my wife and son and ordered way too much food but we gladly took some home. This place is a new build in my neighborhood and has the best layout and use of space than any of the other First Watches in the city. I was actually shocked! Aside from the obvious food and service review, I'd like to mention that the entire environment was built using reclaimed and reused wood and metals. Even the carry out boxes were made of post consumer materials. I always appreciate details like this and they go a long way to contribute to my satisfaction. The wait wasn't very long for a spot with such short hours. We got there just before the rush. The one thing that I didn't like was having to stand in a line after eating to pay for my meal. It was kind of weird they didn't take it from the table like most places.
