This is definitely a nice place to go for brunch with friends or family. One step up from a Denny's or iHop. Located in a nice plaza with good shopping, they have a nice variety of meals with many interesting and healthy combinations. Servers were nice although they did not clear empty plates and drinks off the table before we ate so it was a little cramped. They make a "kale and tonic" drink that is very tasty and nutritious! I would definitely go back to try more meals next time I'm in Pittsburgh! read more

The Details:. The NoWait app was used to schedule an arrival time. The folks we were meeting are frequent customers who were embarrassed and very apologetic. I don't recall the hostess apologizing. I got the impression it was our fault for showing up with a group of 10. The hostess was a dimwit. She told us she was waiting for either one large table or 2 small side by side tables to open up. But she kept seating small groups at both ends of the large table and when one small group finished, shed seat another so of course it never opened up. Same with 2 small tables side by side. We just sat there for the longest time while people who didn't use the app (we asked) walked in and got seated. Our friend spoke to the hostess several times before I stood up and suggested we go somewhere else. That got some action, but no apology. Should not be a concern; my social media footprint is virtually nonexistent, but I was sufficiently annoyed to not allow this incident to pass without comment. Their iced coffee is some pre made syrupy stuff. I guess you have to ask for water- even though the glasses are ready when you sit, they never offer it. We were sooooo excited to find a First Watch right here in Cranberry! Its one of our favorite places to breakfast when we're on vacation in Florida. The food is always extremely fresh, made without a lot of preservatives, and their banana granola and cranberry nuts are to die for! They are huge, so be warned. Also their introduction of avacado into crepes and wraps is delicious. The service I had here was great, and I think it's unfair to judge a restaurant solely on the inadequecy of one typical millenial. And I think it's charming that they're only open until after lunch time... There are plenty of other places open at 2am if that's what you are looking for. The floors and seats and walls are very clean and crisp, and their bathrooms are kept clean as well. I love this place!! read more

Quality is the hallmark of this popular breakfast spot. I had a delicious and ample trio of pancakes: multigrain plain, banana nut, and carrot cake, fairly priced at $7.99 for the trio. My friend had an avocado toast and egg dish that looked great. Server Kelly was efficient and delightful, always smiling. What I do not like is that the place is loud and cramped. The waiting area contains some seats, but it is tiny and inadequate. We were seated next to a family with young children which left a good bit of food on the floor inches from our feet: not appetizing. There was quite a cleanup job that was necessary after they left. For space and comfort, and for outstanding six-egg omelettes at a reasonable price, no one beats The Original Pancake House. read more

First visit to First Watch. Loved the atmosphere and the food was fresh and delicious. Went with a friend and we just couldn't decide because the menu has so many interesting items. We ended up both ordering the same thing - the avocado toast. It was excellent. Whole grain bread, each half was loaded with smashed avocado and accompanied by 2 sunny side up - not runny eggs. The coffee came in a small pot for the table and that gave each of us about three cups and that was perfect. The service was fantastic. We were greeted warmly by everyone from walking in to waiting on us to leaving. So why the four stars? Should give them 4.75 stars! Coulda used a Bloody Mary and they don't serve alcohol! BUT, that was not a deal breaker, obviously, and AFTER our wonderful brunch, we walked across the street to another restaurant and had that Bloody Mary! ONE MISTAKE - I should have checked in on Yelp and moved myself up the waiting list...forgot to do that so we waited about a half hour...which....I NEVER do! It was worth it! read more
