Stopped in for a late dinner after moving all day. Interior was bright clean and fresh...staff very friendly. I think our server was new but he did a great job keeping our drinks refilled. The burgers were fantastic (mushroom/swiss and the patty melt with onions, mushrooms, and peppers)...and country fried steak was tender and seasoned well...wished we had saved room for dessert. The salad bar even at 8pm was still fully stocked, clean, and fresh. Dinner for 4 was $60. read more

"WHAT HAPPENED TO HAMPTON EAT N PARK" We use to eat here for Years ?? 1st I want to say DEBRA our server did great in what was obvious a bad situation on a Sunday. "shes worth her weight in gold / dont ever lose her" We arrived @ 10:55am and were not seated till 11:25am (Yes people were in front of us of course but booths were open) Finally we are seat and told right off the bat by Debra, The food is taking longer than normal ( ok thanks for letting us know and ok ) I asked if it was to early for the salad bar ? it only after12pm ,(okay thats to long to wait or so i thought) We order our drinks and Breakfast choices for ( 2 adults and a teenager ) 3 coffee refills and 4 orange juices later our breakfast come out 12:10pm Debra right off said i will get you different hash brown as they were literally burnt black black, I said ok thanks. ( Debra is doing great in a nothing going right stressful situation) After she walked away i went to dip my toast in my Dippy eggs which where more of a fried egg for a fried egg sandwich style, Which i told Debra and she said i'll get you new ones. "Thanks Debra" ( You're doing great i wanted to let Her know, with whats obviously is a horrible day for her ) Finally i finsh get my New Eggs and we all finish i'm guess after 12:40pm. Debra ( awesome employee) gives us the check This experience ends up costing $52 and Change ( is what it is ) I made sure to really tip Debra well for a situation that many of us would have quit and walk out of ) My observation of the new Eat n Park is.. You have 2 adults and a lot of Teenagers ( great they are working ) but the Adults are busting their asses and dealing with Chaos while the teenagers watch (they will eventually learn) so put more adults on shifts I would avoid This place till they figure it out or at least avoid during peek hours Thanks Harry F read more

This restaurant was next to our hotel outside of Pittsburgh. My wife and I decided to have a late breakfast. Average was 3 stars at this location, but it was easy to get to. So we decided to give it a try. We are very tight on a calorie budget and the first thing we noticed on the online menu was a nutritional calculator. So that helped us decide to go. My wife got the Original Breakfast Smile with two eggs scrambled, bacon, fruit cup and whole wheat toast. I got the Super Griddle with eggs over easy, bacon, wheat toast and two blueberry pancakes. Everything was tasty and seemed fresh. The server was exceptional, but there wasn't anything exceptional about any of the parts of the food. read more

Not sure what went on here when we stopped by, but our server seemed a little flustered. When we showed up it was right after the lunch rush and right before the salad bar was to open. So seating us took a few minutes, we were fine with that. However we were sat at a dirty table prior to it being cleaned off. When they did wipe it down while we were already seated the menus kind of stuck to the table. We then browsed the menus and both of us opted for the same item. We both wanted the salad bar, so we went with those salad bar meal deal thing. We had both ordered virtually the same exact item off the menu. Chicken fingers with barbecue sauce for dipping and fries with the salad bar. That shouldn't be too hard to remember. I head up to the salad bar and come back with my plate. I start to eat my plate and by the time I reach the end of my salad the food comes out. What was sat down in front of me was chicken fingers and steamed broccoli. Would not have been a problem as I like broccoli but it is not what I ordered. I hesitantly said something to our server about it and she was going to take the whole plate back, but I said it was OK. After she had left my better half told me that while I was up at the salad bar she came back and told him that she forgot what we had ordered. She was told again and this is what was brought out. No biggie I guess. To my surprise she did bring out a small plate of fries for me. But it really didn't get much better, we never received a drink refill the entire time we were there. Now since you pay at the table we ended up waiting longer than we should have for that as well. It did take forever to receive our check, only then did our server notice we needed drink refills and asked if we wanted some. At that point, the end of the meal, it really wasn't necessary. We then had to wait for her to return to the table to take our payment and for her to return with my card after that. Took a little too much time for my liking. At least we got the salad bar with our meal so that filled the time. read more

Ordered a Buffalo chicken salad with no French fries. The salad came out with French Fries on it and I asked it to be remade. The server took it to the back and 2 minutes later came out and asked if it was a good allergy and I said no but what difference does that make, I would like it remade. 2 minutes later she comes back out with the salad which she pushed the French fries and toppings off of it. I asked if she pushed the fries off and she said yes. I again asked for the sale to be remade. She took the salad walked into the kitchen and hollard: He wants the salad remade as loud as she could. When she came back out I asked if I could talk with the manager and she said yes, walked back into the kitchen and hollard: Noe he wants to talk with the manager!!!! When the manager came out I explained everything to him including the hollering and how I didn't think asking for the salad to be remade as orders should have been a big deal now along making a huge scene by hollaring in the kitchen. While he agreed, he had no idea of anything he could do about it other than to go to the kitchen to try to have them not do something to my food. I was completely calm and polite during this experience but I will never go back and suggest others no go here. read more

Usually I really enjoy Eat'n Park restaurants, but this one was just OK. Overall, the service was good, but the food was so-so. On a busy Sunday morning, I waited a reasonable 10 minutes for a table. The waitress Maria had a perky personality, and she was knowledgeable about the menu items. She brought out all of the food after only several minutes. At the end of the service, she thanked my husband and me for our business, told us to enjoy the rest of our day, and gave us a bill for $27 plus a tip. Here are my reviews for the foods: Meatloaf - 2.5 stars - I did not like the flavor of the meatloaf, and I ended up eating only half of it. The accompanying mashed potatoes were instant. I enjoyed the gravy. The toast on the bottom somehow did not become soggy, and a few tasty and crispy onion rings were on top. The side salad was a typical iceberg salad with some cucumbers, tomatoes, croutons, and my choice of dressing. Philly cheesesteak sandwich - 4 stars - The rib-eye steak was sliced and topped with onions and American cheese on a roll. Crispy French fries were served on the side. My husband needed more ketchup. Root-beer float - 5 stars - This float had the right combination of root beer and vanilla ice cream. My husband drank up all of it. read more

I have been a customer for sixty years at various locations, but mainly at the Route 8, Gibsonia location for the last twenty years. I have never had a bad meal. The food is consistent and priced reasonably. The best feature is the servers. They seem to keep a large percentage of their help for years. The servers are friendly, attentive and personable. AND THE PIES!!. We usually get a whole pie to go after our meal. My wife loves the coffee. read more

My husband and I have tried for a quick weekday breakfast a couple of times in the past few months, and have been made to feel like a huge inconvenience. We were definitely we're not greeted with a smile and made to feel welcomed. This time, I had less than a handful of fries and when I mentioned it, the waitress stated that they premeasure the portions of their fries. I guess the last time I was there, the measure was broken? Was watching my bosses three kids figured eat n park is kid friendly. Our waitress Haley came over took our drink order started out good. Our food came and that was the last time we saw her. She stood at the next table talking to some guy we waited 20 min to see if she would come back and refill our drinks. Nope she came over put our check down and went back over to talk to the man again. Went up to the register to pay and she had to cash us out my husband told her we usually tip 20 percent but being as we didn't see her we didn't tip her. So as I turned to walk away she and the other girl Samantha decided to talk about us as we were walking out I had my husband take the kids to the car and asked to speak to the manager josh he was useless . It makes me sick to spend sixty dollars on an ok dinner but to be treated like that was aweful. My money is good any where and this is why resteraunts are closing no one cares any more. Well last nights dinner was a disappointment. Fist I will say our waitress... Stephanie was a gem! Personality plus! ... and that's about it ... we both got the salad bar. ... kinda messy... no... let me re think that .... a LOT messy ....soup station was missing spoons and soup bowls ... bathrooms were unbelievably messy. A real turn off. I realize this place is open 24 hour ... the bus boys were hustling.. but this place needs Cleaned. So Eat n Park managers... get your act together. We are driving back from the Cleveland clinic to our home in Kentucky. We stopped here to get a late lunch and had never even heard of it this place to be honest so didn't really know what to expect. I got a grilled cheese with bacon and fries and my husband got fried shrimp. We had such FAST service. We ordered it online and got there way earlier than it said and she brought it out to the car almost immediately. The food was fantastic, so hot it scorched the boxes. I waited 58 minutes for potato soup while the rest of my party was already done with their actual entrees. The waitress asked me if I would like to switch to another soup after about 45 mins and I told her to just make it to go, as that was all I had ordered. I know it wasn't her fault they were out of soup but she repeatedly said "it would be right out". It's the first time I've left a restaurant without tipping. It's Eat'n Park. It ain't gourmet, ya know? It's basic, good grub at a basic, good price. Good in a pinch. The upside for me? It's got gluten-free dining covered. And quite nicely, too. I enjoyed a decent Eggs Benedict here the other day - they even put it on gluten-free bun halves instead of the gluten-laden English muffin it would normally come on. The hollandaise was wonderful! This is the closest Eat N Park to me, and it's the same as others, though my in laws hit this place pretty regularly. Every time we go the staff remembers us and is conversational and friendly, additionally I have a daughter who is 14 months old and the cheap dining options for her are nice. It's friendly that's why they get the extra star, the food is basic finer fare, it's not a date place...well strike that...there is a charm to taking a date to Eat N Park after a nice evening to grab some late dessert and prolong an evening. read more

Go here for breakfast food, smiley cookies, and milk shakes. There is a very nice waitress who works the late shift if insomnia is your thing. I come to eat n park for a fairly cheap meal on random occasions. They have decent service and I appreciate the staff for their friendliness. I give them a 3 because they are not spectacular but they have their own niche style that I enjoy. Very low key and a chill place to eat. I came here today (02/12/16) for brunch with my aunt and uncle. Caitlyn was our hostess and Stephanie was our waitress. They're both absolute dolls. I had the Sunday brunch buffet (which goes from 11-2) and raspberry iced tea; my aunt had a superburger, cole slaw, and decaf coffee; my uncle ate a bacon omelette with home fries (burnt). Everything was perfect, except for my uncle's home fries not being well done enough for his taste. Working in Pittsburgh for a couple of weeks... crew and I have eaten here 3 times. We were impressed. Many people in the area were comparing Eat n Park to Dennys. Dennys sucks compared to Eat n Park. Salad bar was fresh and clean. Victoria, our waitress was great. BTW, she is pretty hot too . Only one complaint, we ate pretty late one night and the floor was pretty messy. Foods at family owned restaurant and diners are by far better tasting. For a better price. Cooks aren't always good at what they are being hired to do. I think I agree with a lot of other reviewers when they say that this is basic, good food at a basic, good price. This isn't a place for a fancy date night, but for just dinner as a family, it can't be beat. There is something for everyone, it's yummy food, and they're always awesome with kids. My 4 year old gets SO pumped for her free smiley cookie. For experiences like that, casual family dining, I appreciate this place. Too many restaurants are leaning away from families. One of the better Eat n' Parks in the area around Pittsburgh. Although, they do have problems sometimes with keeping things neat and clean around the salad bar and tables. However, the menu makes up for all that. It's signature breakfast menu and killer appetizers have kept me coming back to this establishment. They do refill the salad bar quite often and normally have a wide variety to choose from. The service and diversity of staff members really makes this place one of a kind. read more

I'm usually happy with my experience at this location, especially when I compare it to the other locations. This time I was pretty disappointed. The salad bar was disappointing, things were empty and weren't refilled. My pancakes were burnt and I did not eat them. My drinks were never refilled and sat on the edge of the table the entire time. It felt like we were being rushed. Our server was nice and we did get our food quickly so I will give two stars but that's it. Don't know if I'll be back. read more

Food is very good for the price. I would recommend that if you place an online order for take out you check what is in the bags prior to leaving the restaurant. They seem to have a bit of a problem giving you what you ordered. Once I got the wrong soup but didn't report it. Today i was shorted the cottage cheese from my order.
