This is my second review, as I gave First Watch another try after a not so pleasant experience several weeks ago. My expectations were exceeded on my second visit! I stopped in with a large group and everything was wonderful. The blueberry juice was mildly sweet and kind of reminded me of smarties candy. I ordered the AM superfoods bowl which was heavenly! The chia seed pudding was really creamy and the fruit compote added the perfect tartness to the dish and paired nicely with the crunch of the granola. I also got an omelette on the side, and my eggs were cooked perfectly. I am now a fan of First Watch and would return - just be sure to get there early if you're going on a Sunday. read more

Good experience in a new open concept restaurant. Service was quick for a Saturday around noon, we were sat right away. Breakfast menu is medium when it comes to content, but a lot of the new farm style places are that way. I like the sound of their million dollar bacon, will have to try it next time! I had the trifecta with coffee. Overall alright in taste, bacon wasn't quite done and the multigrain pancake was a little bland, but they have really good syrup to help that out! For the price my meal was pretty small, and the scrambled eggs were more like 1 than 2 and the scramble itself was a little strange. Coffee also is a little different tasting here. My wife had breakfast tacos and she enjoyed it a lot. She said they were a little tasteless but with hot sauce it was great. I had breakfast here on Friday for the first time ever at a First Watch. I heard many good things from my friends and family so I wanted to give it a try. We were greeted right away when we came in and sat in a large booth. Our server brought coffee over and I was so happy that she left the pot. We ordered our food and then enjoyed our coffee while the chefs did their thing. The million dollar bacon, although slightly burnt on one side, was absolutely delicious - sweet, salty and a hint of cayenne. My chick I change was also really good. The flour tortilla was perfectly crisped and all of the ingredients combined were super filling. I ended up taking half home. My husband enjoyed his biscuits and turkey gravy. We had signed up for the sun-e club so we had a big one entree get one free coupon which they happily accepted. I would definitely have breakfast here again! read more

Quality of the food was good! I ordered the 2 stack plain pancakes with a side of sausage and my wife ordered a made to order egg white omelette with spinach , onions, and tomatoes. However, this newly opened establishment needs to stabilize and fine tune their operational service and staff. Specifically, we experienced the following annoyance: 1. Long wait. -The host informed us that the wait would only be 15-30 minutes where in reality, we were seated after 1:15 minutes. The long wait increasingly became infuriating when we surprisingly watched other patrons arrive after us and get seated before us. Apparently, you can submit your name online via their app and arrive to only wait a few minutes. Without knowing their app and their online booking, the host failed to inform walk-ins that the wait may be longer. 2. Noticeable Table Service - One butter knife actually had a finger print while the other one had some crumbs on the handle - There were water glasses but we were never offered any water. We wondered that perhaps water was only provisioned upon request so as to avoid waste but we watched other tables be brought water upon seating -Having ordered pancakes, no one brought the syrup and had to wait 15 minutes until I had to request it -My wife selected a made to order omelette with spinach that was missed in the preparation. Our server did apologize and informed us that she didn't charge us for the spinach as if she generously did us a favor Hopefully, the staff performance along with the slight attention to detail improves. read more

We attended the soft opening for the Exton location- WOW! The juices, the food, the atmosphere: 10/10! To start we ordered the Morning Meditation: orange, lemon, turmeric, organic ginger, agave nectar and beet, and The Blue Booster: white grape, blueberry, lemon and basil. These juices we're AMAZING. I've never tried anything like them in the Exton area before. I will be back just to try all of their beverages after these drinks. We had a small plate of the Million Dollar Bacon to follow: four slices of hardwood smoked bacon baked with brown sugar and black pepper, cayenne and maple syrup drizzle. While we were waiting we were pleasantly surprised to read more about Project Sunrise that First Watch is a part of (Project Sunrise benefits the Mujeres en Café organization in Huila, Colombia). The main course was delicious! I ordered the Breakfast Tacos: Three wheat-corn tortillas with scrambled eggs, Cajun chicken, chorizo, Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses. Topped with fresh avocado and housemade pico de gallo. Served with seasoned black beans. And my sister ordered the SoCal Breakfast Burrito: egg whites, all natural chicken breast, quinoa, black beans, kale, house roasted onions, feta, cheddar, Monterey jack, fresh smashed avocado and pico de gallo in a hearty-grain tortilla with a side of warm salsa and Verde and fresh fruit. The food was phenomenal, it was cooked perfectly and everything arrived in a timely manner. Jason, our server, really made the experience by his fun loving attitude, menu suggestions and happy smile. We truly appreciated him making our first experience here at First Watch a memorable one. Another fun fact is their website/ menu! Always a good experience here. During COVID, they have done a great job with the plexiglass barriers, hand sanitizer, and all wait staff wearing masks. Since it is during COVID, there was no wait. Service was quick and great as always. I ate with a friend here yesterday around 10 AM. Service was poor. When my friend and I were served I was brought the wrong food. I waited a long time for what I ordered while my friend ate while her food was warm. My omelet still had clear egg white in it, meaning not cooked. I was visiting from California and my friend gave me this place as a suggestion. I have grown up in Chester County most of my life so I was familiar with First Watch but I actually have never been to one before...Until yesterday morning! I ordered an Iced Coffee with the Chickichanga. The Iced Coffee was so good I think I could have drank 3 of them. Some may complain that it is a bit on the sweet side but that's how I enjoy it! I also opted for cream & sugar upon ordering. The food came out with speed and precision. Everything was packed with flavor, even down to the potatoes! I would totally come here again and try so many other things. You know the place is good when you have trouble deciding! That's usually not a problem for me as something stands out to me more than others. This time....I just couldn't choose because everything just sounded so dang good! THANK YOU GUYS FOR BREAKFAST!! My husband and I stopped here for brunch after a long drive home from North Jersey after a wedding the night before. We were seated outside which was a nice vibe. The waitress was nice and brought our drinks right away, but the food took a reallyyyyy long time to come. Seemed like they were severely understaffed. We should have ordered a muffin or something ahead of time to hold us over since we didn't eat yet all day. The food finally came and it was really good (we both had waffles and eggs with bacon), but I wish the portion sizes were a tiny bit bigger for the price. Went alone to this location and was told the wait would be 20 minutes. After waiting 40 minutes I asked how much longer and was told there really isn't a good place to seat just one person. They like to keep the community table open in case they get a large party. The hostess reluctantly sat me at the community table and I was joined by 2 other guests moments later. I ordered my food which was a harvest hash. The sweet potatoes were raw and crunchy not roasted as advertised. My over medium egg still had runny whites and were cold. BEWARE ROUTE 100 LOCATION IN EXTON Was there today between 12 and 12:30 having a celebratory b-day lunch for two friends. Four of us in total. My friend was about 4 bites into her kale salad and I have never witnessed the color leave someone's face and become instantly paralyzed in shock. She said there was something bad in her salad but could hardly speak to tell us what was wrong. She pushed her plate to our side of the table, and on her plate was a soaking wet mouse! You have never seen four women stand up in disgust so quickly. As soon as the waitress took the plate back to the kitchen, the manager should have been at our table, comforting our friend, reassuring her of something, anything! NOPE. No one came to the table. I wish we would have taken a picture but we were stunned. We obviously did not pay (we tipped our waitress) and calls have been made to the health department and Corporate First Watch. My friend is traumatized. Usually I say I am done with this location because the service is crap. Well. Now I am really done. I waited about 8 to 10 minutes before the waitress came over to take my order. I ordered coffee and a water, eggs Benedict with the English muffin double toasted, the eggs poached medium and hash browns well done. I would need another five minutes for my coffee to arrive which I was only able to get after I watched the waitress help another table and I asked her for the coffee. She walked away after bringing the coffee and then I realized I had no cream on my table. So I was waiting to flag somebody down to get some cream and while I was trying to do that the table of four next to me was served their food. So a table of four was able to order and get their food before I was able to get a cup of coffee!! Ridiculous!!! I got the cream. Opened my silverware which was wrapped in a napkin...my spoon had dried caked food on it. My order came: The English muffin was double toasted. Hooray The eggs were not poached medium...they were way underdone with runny whites. Additionally, the ham on the Eggs Benedict I ordered was completely cold. I guess they threw it in there without bothering to heat it at all. There were no potatoes...it came with a salad. I asked for the potatoes, which the waitress brought promptly, but of course they were not well done as I requested. Very very poor experience!! read more

My new favorite place to get breakfast, brunch, lunch in the area! I actually first tried this place down in Florida and I remember it being good. The avocado toast is my favorite item to get. The bread is thick and they don't skimp out on the avocado. Service has always been good. The only issue I have is I wish they did reservations because there is always a wait. The restaurant is on the smaller side so it fills up quickly especially on Saturday and Sunday mornings! But if you are looking for a new place to try for breakfast/brunch/lunch and if you like healthy "farm to table" style comfort food then definitely give this place a try! So slow it makes me not want to go, despite their great food. We went this morning (Wednesday). Came here for the 1st time today! The setup is nice( modern farmhouse vibes). Our service was wonderful, we had Jordan who was attentive, great conversation, and offered awesome recommendations. The food came out quickly and was delicious (I got the carrot cake pancakes ) they have fresh juices that were awesome too! I got the one with blueberries and basil. My only issue with this place is the wait. I don't mind waiting at all, but when you're told 15 and you wait 40+ minutes it's a little annoying. I'm not crazy about the app idea where if you are not informed about it you get screwed over by all the people that use it/come in after you. I had the breakfast burrito(a true test of a brunch stop's worthiness) and I would honestly give it a 9.5/10, only because ya always gotta leave room for improvement. Despite the high quality of the food, I have a few complaints. 1. The service was slow. I understand it was busy but even to just get water with our coffees, it took forever. 2. I honestly dont know why its called 'first watch' & that just bothered me a bit. Overall I think my 4 star review is one of the most accurate things I could give it. Went on opening day and was blown away at the cute decor and super friendly staff (especially Ashley & Piper)! I ordered the morning market veg omelet, hands down one of the best omelets I've ever had. My boyfriend got the Belgium waffle and ate the whole thing in under 2 minutes, he loved it.
