We love first watch for breakfast. But, Can't say I've tried anything on the lunch menu. The food is fresh, delicious and healthy. I'm giving 4 stars because the service isn't superb and sometimes the eggs can be undercooked. I wish they automatically gave ice with the water rather than waiting for the customer to ask for it. Their fresh squeezed juices are so good. We love the millionaire bacon. My husband and kids are obsessed with the avocado toast. It can get pretty busy but if there's just two or you're alone they offer a communal table that's first come first serve which is nice. Definitely one of our favorites for breakfast. read more

Loved the Good Egg and have given First Watch a chance but just can't figure out why they changed a great place with good food. I have found their food tasteless. I don't know what those other reviewers are talking about but personally I love healthy and delicious food plus a good ambiance is always icing on the cake. It's hard to really find good hearty breakfast around town, most places are far from Peoria. Servers are always pleasant and place is super clean. General manager always greets you with a smile. I look forward to this place all the time. This place is always busy so if you plan on coming expect to wait a good 20 to 30 minutes. It's worth it! I enjoyed the fresh food so much that I went back for more the next day! First day I got the Chicken Avacado chop salad after a 5 mile hike. The cold brew coffee was delicious as well. The. Worst. Service. Ever. The food is decent but we have come 3 times now and each time the service has been terrible. The server didn't bring us enough silver ware and when asked- she never came back with it, we had to have another girl get it. Didn't bring syrup - had to ask someone else for it. What a shame! This place has such amazing potential to be great, but at this time was nothing short of mediocre, at best. We expected a wait, since it was a Sunday. We even got seated just before our estimated 30 minute wait time! I was excited about the menu and couldn't wait for the Belgian waffle, 2 scrambled eggs and pork link sausage! My husband ordered the French toast and "million dollar bacon." We waited over 30 minutes for our food to arrive, and when it did it was cold, and my two eggs looked shriveled up and like somebody had eaten the other half, and the texture was weird. By that time we were so famished we decided not to say anything about that or the tepid food, and the fact that the bottom of the French toast was burned. They also brought the wrong bacon, and then my Husband had to flag our server down to inquire what happened to the MIA bacon? The staff seemed like they could care less what your thoughts were, or even ask a basic question after we were finished like, "how was everything," but was sure quick to tell us how to cash out! Every time I eat here, I get subpar service. Every single time our order is messed up one way or another. And none of the waitresses seem like they want to serve you decently and seem spaced out all the time. The food is okay, but don't get the eggs Benedict. Food and service were both great! The menu was large with healthy options. The Benedict was delicious and so filling. Black coffee was good as well. The atmosphere was comfortable and the restaurant filled quickly shortly after we arrived. I don't usually post reviews but I just ordered a pickup/to-go order which took about 10-15 minutes which I was surprised. Since I did a pickup order I was unable to see my food until I got home. My potato's were burnt.. like crunchy burnt pieces mixed in as well.. so of course I didn't eat them. I'm disappointed bc I love the potatoes but not when they look like they've been cooked to the crisp and the thought of them giving me them to eat. If you are not taking advantage of the "live wait time" on Yelp you are really losing out. I love this place because of this feature.... if you want to have a family breakfast outing on the weekend you are going to have to spend to long waiting for a table it is the way to go. We went here for breakfast this morning. I did not know it was no longer good egg. I was greatly disappointed. We ordered the roast beef hash, cinnamon chip pancakes breakfast and the chimichicken. The chimichicken thing was still cold and their were onions in it that were raw. Which would have been fine but they should have been cooked and the person who ordered it is allergic to raw onions. Went here on Sunday about 12:30pm. I definitely recommend you use the Yelp app to get in the wait list ahead of time- even on the wait list on Sunday we had about a 20 minute wait.... well worth it! All of us ordered breakfasts and nobody was disappointed! Only order the iced coffee if you like drinking sugar without any coffee taste-too sweet for me! The "million dollar bacon" on the menu board was delicious sugar cured bacon, but with only 4 thin slices for $4 ( $1 a slice?) I guess it's about a million $ a lb.! So I went yesterday with my grandma to brunch and overall we left happy but it could have gone the other way. It was rather crowded and it was a 15 min wait, which was fine. We were sat within the promised 15 min. When we say down, my coffee mug has something that looked like a clump of chocolate powder left in it, but my grandma didn't want coffee so I used her cup. The server, a taller guy with glasses and a tan complection, made up for it by bringing me a mug of vanilla creamer pods when I asked for more and said I like a lot of cream. It took some time to get our order in, but the server had been at least triple sat if not more. When we ordered, my grandma got an omlete and I got the blt eggs Benedict. It took over 20 min to get our food. Finally the server brought out my grandma's omlete and apologized saying the kitchen was having issues with my meal. My grandma was livid because we were trying to make it to a movie and at this rate we would miss it, and told the server so. At this point I had decided to write a yelp review because I was so unhappy/hangry. Finally my food did arrive and the server apologized and told us our meal was taken care of so we could just leave when we were done to get to our movie. The eggs Benedict was amazing. I got the blt version with potatoes and it was an amazing choice. My grandma's omlete was odd, all of the toppings were on the bottom and she said she won't be getting an omlete there again. The server checked back in and apologized again saying he was back in the kitchen trying to get my food out but it was out of his control. I saw him running all kinds of food and being a server I know that means he was in there trying to make stuff happen. The server saved out meal and we are going to try and go back before my trip is over. This used to be my favorite breakfast place in the Valley but it has gone down in quality and service tremendously. We have been going here for years even when it was The Good Egg. Now visits are greeted with annoyed hostesses, waitresses in a hurry who don't listen for the details and overcooked food. The last time they brought a pieces of BLACK pork belly but don't worry, they flipped the burned side over on the plate so it wasn't immediately noticed. Today overcooked rubbery omelet. Had to ask twice for water, WATER! Which should be brought to the table when seated. I don't know if I can risk giving it another chance. Too bad there is not a minus star review it would be more accurate. We waited 45 minutes to get in but that never happened . The last we checked our name on the list, the hostess said we were in the number two position. Then we waited another 15 minutes went inside and our name was no longer on the list. Some one stole our place in line and the hostess did not verify them obviously. This could of been done by checking ID or phone number which they WERE SUPPOSED TO TEXT. Plus one of the hostess said we were being bumped for online reservations. Which if I would have known that I would have done that instead so we would not be bumped. Also to add to complication my wife is diabetic and almost fainted with waiting over an hour just to get seated. I will NEVER dine at any of the First Watch establishments again. I'm a huge fan of this place for lunch. Healthy, clean, variety of options, and fresh and delicious. I work in Sun City and I feel my lunch options are often very limited. I drive down to First Watch in Glendale and all my food troubles have disappeared :) The vibe is very fresh, cozy, and open. Reminds me of brunch in San Diego. The iced tea and coffee are always so good!!! Once I find a menu item I enjoy, it takes a lot for me to venture away from it. I've tried several of thier options, but have remained loyal to the Power Wrap the past five or six times I've been. They do not upcharge for egg whites or sub of a side which is very nice. I'm cutting off one-star because this place really is horrible with to-go orders. I've ordered to-go three times, and all three times there has been a glitch. It's really annoying. Last time they just completely forgot my soup, and I was pretty disappointed. Another time they gave wrong soup. And the first time they put in mushrooms, which I cannot stand and asked to leave out. That was the worst because I was really hungry and they were built in the omlete wrap, unable to be picked out. Its frustrating. When I'm dining in, the service and food is 5 stars, when I'm picking up its a 2. I have a favorite waiter there, tall built guy with glasses, he is so super nice!! I told him about the mushroom snafu, and he comped my whole meal. It was so super nice.
