    Great breakfast
    Robyn P.

Village Inn is a great restaurant with a lot of good deals and delicious pie. Service was very good today by Shayla. We came in for the $5.00 Crush Burger Monday special, which is very popular. The restaurant is clean and the ambiance is retro and fun. The Village Inn Rewards Club is also a great way to save money

It's been a few years sense we been here. They always have a good breakfast and really reasonably priced. Lunch is good as well. We both did the breakfast and a piece of pie. The employees are like family when you go there. You feel right at home.

Visited 6/24/2024 We visited twice today. Breakfast was Excellent. Food and serving size was well worth the very reasonable prices. We came back for dinner and my lady had a Patty Melt on Rye. Only 3 stars. I had The slow roasted Turkey Dinner. The stuffing was tasty and filling and the Turkey was tender and moist. Potatoes and Gravy was also tasty. My only complaint was my Side Order of Corn was a Joke. Only about two bites on a side plate and they charged $3.00 for it. Ridicules price to charge for such a small portion. Anyway it's my new favorite Breakfast Spot. Dinner not as much. Enjoy.

The food was outstanding! The Cobb salad was literally AMAZING- fresh, crisp, flavorful, and jam packed to the brim with everything you'd ever want on a Cobb. The double decker was incredible! And the kids pancakes with fruit and bacon were great! The service was excellent- our server was timely and kind. The ambiance was welcoming and clean. Seriously 10/10 for a great family spot!

    Chicken Cordon Blue Crepes

This was such a delicious surprise! This was our first time visiting Village Inn and what a great experience! From the service, to the food...everything was great! I ordered the chicken cordon blue crepes were outstanding - a ton of filling, big chunks of chicken and ham....hollandaise sauce was great, and the hash browns were nice and crispy but soft on the inside. My husband really enjoyed his club sandwich. And it had real sliced turkey breast, crispy back, and a ton of meat! His fries were nice and crispy as well. The bonus was on Wednesday, they have "Free Pie Day" so with the purchase of an entree and drink, you get a free slice of pie! They have a lot of choices for pies as well, and I had French silk, which was super tasty! We will be back! Wasn't expecting much, but it was a great surprise!

Feel free to post my full visit from your security footage! My husband, kids, and I stopped in for an early dinner, we had never been but see the reviews online so we wanted to try it out! Getting seated, we didn't want a high top and it was the only thing available. The hostesses couldn't give us an estimate of what the wait time would be for a different table, but I'm realizing after our horrendous experience- they probably weren't trained. We ended up just taking the high top to negate any further confusion with a time estimate. It's crowded inside, and your table is crowded. The energy and atmosphere is tense and overwhelming. It's a sports bar, though- so I feel like that's consistent with any other sports bar you'd pop in to. We decided on the build your own appetizer to start, it came out room temperature. While our server was taking our order for the rest of the food (there was apparently an issue with the table next to ours and their food being taken to the incorrect table, again with poor training) the manager went out to the table next to ours to deliver food and turned to the server at my table, taking my order, and interrupted me to yell at her. He yelled at her about putting the incorrect table on the tickets and the food going to the wrong table, yelled at her the right table numbers( I guess for her to remember next time?), and then stormed off. Leaving our server, to pick up the pieces and apologize for an emotionally triggered man that should have some self control if he's leading a team or part of a company. I was absolutely disgusted with the behavior of the leadership in this establishment and the food was unremarkable. Cold, bland, and stingy is how I would describe the food we were served. There were barely any cheese curds on the Poutine, The Ole Smokey pizza was mediocre and the pasta was bland. I think this restaurant rides the coattails of being on the food network but it does not meet expectations, by far. There is a lack of training all around and that falls on leadership, only. The hostesses couldn't give a wait time, the bartender was over serving customers (I'm reporting that separately to the state), and the servers/runners aren't fully trained for the floor- but instead of teaching, training and finding a resolution- their lead will berate and belittle them to satisfy his ego and ruin your experience. I'm actually grateful the food was as mediocre as it was because I'm happy to never be back.

Understandably so. The restaurant has a rustic feel with heavy wood beams and neutral-colored artwork throughout. It's warm, comfortable, and exactly what you would expect from a modern steakhouse. Service was very good. Could it have been a little faster? Sure. But I'm not going to knock them for that. It was Father's Day and I don't think I saw a single employee standing still the entire time we were there. In fact, one of my favorite parts of the experience was sitting close enough to the kitchen to hear everyone communicating. It sounded like a well-oiled machine. Organized, professional, and honestly pretty cool to witness. We started with the cinnamon rolls. They were fine. Nothing I am going to dream about later, but certainly nothing to complain about either. As for the entrees, my wife ordered the French toast, my father had the brunch burger, my father-in-law went with the smothered sausage biscuit sandwich, and I ordered the steak and egg tacos. Honestly? Everyone was happy. My tacos were loaded with well-seasoned, medium-rare steak and were exactly what I was hoping for. The cocktails were mighty tasty as well. Then came my favorite part of the meal. As we were wrapping up brunch, their whimsical manager stopped by and handed each of us dads a gift card to come back as a simple Father's Day thank-you. Completely unexpected, completely unnecessary, and exactly the kind of small gesture that people remember. Good food gets you in the door. Good hospitality gets you to come back. Firebirds delivered both, and my family would happily return.

We would have sat outside which is a very pleasant area but it was too windy. This area eventually could be even better if enhanced with the wall fountain functioning, and maybe even a central cooling fountain added as well, along with plantings like cypress and dwarf palms to add to the ambiance. This place has the potential for being THE go-to oasis in Sun City and I can envision it being a regular spot to meet up with friends over cool minty drinks with or without a meal. What puts it above many outdoor dining areas around here is that it is set back enough from Bell Road so the traffic sound is not overwhelming and thankfully lacks that annoying "whoosh." So it's more of a special/high-end experience. Longhorn, by contrast, is a more "every day" family steakhouse experience. It's what a good old-fashioned steakhouse should be. If you want to go into a dark, wood-paneled, bar-like establishment with red vinyl booths and mob bosses meeting in back rooms, you're better off at something like Durant's. This is not that. What great steak! As I said, the best we've had in the west valley. Excellent cuts, top quality meats. Cooked perfectly and as asked for. Tender, flavorful steak and the best baby-back ribs Ive ever had. For once they're not drenched in sticky-sweet, cheap BBQ sauce and overcooked. Nope, these were moist and fork-tender. The burgers are fantastic and the ribeye is juicy and full of flavor. The sirloin is top notch and the "Flo's Special" filet mignon is just perfect. The sides here are particularly good. The broccoli is unusually good and cooked to perfection. The Mac and cheese is legendary. It's hearty and gooey and very cheesy. Excellent. The potatoes are standard but very tasty and come with all the fixings. For dessert, the strawberry shortcake is my favorite. It's delicate and not cloyingly sweet. It's a delicate, light, fresh-tasting and very moist cake. The perfect finish to an excellent meal. You can't go wrong here. It's always packed, so do the waitlist before you arrive. Really good.
