At first glance it looks like a dennys or ihop knockoff...their prices are similar but their food and drinks are in another league...especially their more health conscious menu! These dishes are obviously made fresh with better incidents and taste amazing. Food should be fuel. Not load you full of sugar and carbs wanting to take a nap after. Their juices and cocktails are on point too. Not really a bad choice. Other than having to wait a few minutes for a table and they close "early" at 230pm...I have nothing bad to say about it. I've seen this place since they opened and decided to stop in today and give them a try. I was warmly greeted and seated promptly without a delay. The decor is modern, open and gives a feeling of space. I had the Biscuits and Turkey Gravy with eggs and country potatoes. It was delicious and quite filling. My server was Isabel and she was terrific! Her smile seems warm and genuine. She is attentive without being overbearing. A definite asset to the staff. First Watch is my go-to for Saturday brunch. Although it is always very busy, I have never had to wait for more than ten minutes to be seated. Servers are super friendly and attentive, and service is quick. I must say, the acoustics in this place are terrible - sometimes it gets so loud that it is hard to carry a conversation. They have an extensive menu with tons of options, healthy and not-so-much. Their portions are big, so I always end up taking leftovers home. You cannot go wrong with any of their giant pancakes - my favorite are the blueberry, they always hit the spot. Another items I frequently order are the Eggs Benedict BLT, and the Trifecta. They always cook my eggs exactly the way I like them. On days when I am craving something healthier, I order the Healthy Turkey, which is an egg-white omelet with tomato, spinach and feta cheese. Their breakfast and brunch dishes are always a hit. I shared the Parma hash and lemon ricotta pancakes with a friend, and both were absolutely delicious! The potatoes are seriously some of the best. The cheese was melted to ooey gooey perfection, and the grilled onions and mushrooms were amazing. The pancakes were fluffy and soft!! Literally humongous. The service was excellent - the servers are always friendly and kind. So, this is the first time I have been to the Bunker Hill location. I know everyone is not having a great day, every day, but I was seriously worried about the waitress. She refused to smile or engage, but that is fine, whatever. Food came out quick and was delicious. Couldn't find the waitress and had to ask another person to locate her so I could get my check. I live near two other locations and know some of the staff by name and probably won't be back here as it's not as convenient. I've been to a few First Watches and I'm glad that it's consistent across the board. First watch is a staple breakfast/brunch place. I was trying to find something small to eat this morning, and opted for the biscuit and gravy. I'm glad I went with that because it was a pretty large biscuit with some delicious sausage gravy. It was around $6 for it because it was technically a side dish, but honestly a good enough portion, especially if you're not super hungry. I did pair it with their mint mocha, which is an iced coffee with chocolate, mint, and whipped cream. While it was coffee, or tasted like chocolate milk, and I'm here for it. The service was pretty quick and decent. The place overall was standard as well. Parking is a bit limited, so you might have to park a bit further down and walk. read more

Horrible service. Operations is a mess. They need to determine a method optimize their operations. It's one thing if it was just our server being bad but beginning to end the overall experience is just a hot mess here. Originally was only going to pay 10% tip but given that our server was trying their best (despite being set up to fail), we changed it to 20% since it wasn't their fault that our experience was unfavorable prior to meeting them at our table. Every encounter you have at this place with a staff member is a "half truth" - We received a text that our table is ready In their records no history of us Had to start from scratch and "25-30 min wait" Next couple that came in, arbitrary "45-60 min wait" No algorithm, they're just throwing out whatever statement We order churros They say sure 30 min pass by and no churros They say since there's a queue it's going to take a while I say that's fine please cancel order and we'll get our check In the process of getting up and just getting our check from the front and finally pay. Less than 2 min later they're back at our table with churros "No need to cancel, look at that! It's ready" 2nd time asking for check "Sure thing" No check We finally get up to walk up to pay without check 1 min later server is rushing up to the front and pulling out check from her pocket .. Ultimately, to get this operations to *react and actually hustle, you need to sprinkle in a bit of challenging, taking your own initiative, getting up and just doing things on your own. Front area is a fire hazard on how people are congregating and waiting with no order or organization. 3 separate "kiosks" where people have no idea where to reserve/claim their reservation, wait for their usher/host, pay, etc How long has this been going on and when will management take notice and actually optimize operations. Servers can't work under these conditions. Customers leave with a horrible impression. The cherry on top was when the male host felt entitled that we left a 20% tip..for this trash experience ... We arrived at 9:30 for a table for 12. There was a table available but they said it was reserved. But they don't do reservations. They do waitlists. I was like how does that work. 3 of us were here at 9:30. The rest of our party arrived 15 minutes later. I like how they accommodated us quickly but the fact is if a table was available for 35 minutes. There are 5 ppl sitting at a 12 top table. My question how long is the wait time for a non reservation reservation. I went on line to see if I make reservation aka waitlist and there is a 10 minute wait for the reservation. Once they sat us I had to place out all the menus and silverware out. Mind you it is slow today and a lot of servers and hostess were just standing around. My sister and I were not in a rush but we know the pace of most First Watch restuarants and this one is not a good one. The waitress came back with a new bowl, but told her the ground meet was precooked which we thought was very odd since it took 40 mins for our food to come out. May 28, 2019 I am so happy I spent my birthday morning here at First Watch! First of all, huge shoutout to my close friends for meeting me here at 7:30 am and driving from the deep ends of Katy to have breakfast with me. We were the first ones to enter the restaurant so we had it all to ourselves! Second, big big BIG shoutout out to Norma with the poppin red lips and amazing smile and personality. She really made my morning extra special. Complete accommodation to my friends and myself. Super patient at 7:30 AM. She made several rounds cause my indecisive group couldn't make a decision on all the great breakfast choices. She gave lots of feedback on what she liked and didn't like. She even let us mix and match pancakes so that we could try different ones. I'm so glad that she let us! I even raved to my friends that the pancakes are good. I've been to the Cypress location and they didn't let me mix and match. So I was surprised that she let us. Regardless, it was amazing. Definitely a great start to spend my birthday.
