After about a year of random visits, we have figured out how to manage this place. Firstly, arriving just prior to 10 AM is optimum. The main reason is the foot traffic, but also coming just prior to 10 allows one to order the cereal milk drink to put in the coffee. I'm a daily coffee drinker, but they must use Starbucks or Pike's because it is unbearable unless it has this drink poured in. The drink makes the most amazing coffee ever. I've tried a number of the items. I'd advise against the has if you have made or eaten hash at your family's home. They just throw the egg on top of whatever the "topping" is. I'd advise to get one of the omelets (I like the Market Veg, and the other one on the menu with the mushrooms). The biscuits on the biscuits and gravy were light and fluffy, but you have to want that chicken sausage cream gravy. It definitely tastes healthy. I have celiac and enjoy the GF toast here, which is the main reason we come to dine in FW. The egg sandwich was pretty good. Additionally, those lemon ricotta pancakes are yummy. The million dollar bacon is not a candied bacon so don't be fooled. They have made bacon and just drizzled some maple syrup on cayenne sprinkled bacon. The applewood is better, IMHO. It's a pretty good place. They serve a green salad with breakfast so you can pretend you are being healthy. Their non alcoholic cocktails are also yummy. I've had 2 or 3. They are worth the try. About the service: some of the waiters rock it here. Sometimes, management overworks them and gives them too many tables to manage. I've not had any bad experience with service...just sometimes, we wait. The Cereal Milk in my coffee takes care of any issues I might have had with a wait. read more

Cute little breakfast spot. I really enjoy the ambiance first off. It reminds my sitting in someone's house having breakfast. I love the fact that they offer cocktails and specialty beverages not just the typical mimosas. They have alcoholic beverages that pair well with the breakfast menu. We preserved a few beverages, French toast and some type of breakfast sandwich. The bacon they serve is amazing!! It is called million dollar bacon I believe. It's sweet and spicy and cooked just right. I would go back just for the bacon alone. My husband liked the French toast, lol. I never mastered cooing French toast so when he wants it, we come here. First time visiting at the service was terrible! I placed a "to - go" order for a waffle. It was early Sunday morning so there was not much of a crowd. I paid (+tip) and sat down to wait. After15 or so minutes, I asked the waitress that originally took my order to check on the status of my food. After a few more minutes, she explained the manager was "on it" determining the cause of the delay. It seemed like a lot of effort for a waffle and I was creeping up on a 20 minute wait so I asked for a refund. After another few minutes and multiple staff members asking me what the issue was (I guess they noticed I had been waiting a long time), a second employee told me the food would be out shortly but If I wanted a refund, I could have the refund and the food for free. I rejected the food and some type of "comp" card they offered. A THIRD employee came to process my refund but would not provide me with a receipt of my transaction. I declined the "comp" card because I will NEVER go back. I declined the free waffle because i had serious doubts about the quality of the food after all of the confusion. Came here around 7am on a Friday morning and we were seated immediately. On our way to our table we saw a server lick her fingers then pick up silverware and place them on a table. Was a little surprised but okay, we all do some absent-minded thing sometimes so not such a huge deal. The food was pretty good. I ordered the chocolate chip pancake breakfast. The pancake had a good flavor without being overly sweet. I ordered it with scrambled eggs that we're cooked very well and bacon that was not super greasy. Our server started out attentive but not very friendly. She dropped the check before we were half way done with our meals then we didn't see her again until we were getting up to leave. I went to the restroom and found it surprisingly dirty for only being open an hour or so. The rest of the restaurant seemed very clean so that was a little unexpected. I've been to other locations that were great and I would love to give this location 4 stars because they have a great menu and atmosphere but the staff could use a little more training. Yummy yummy, although it may seem from the looks of their menu, a very ordinary kind of joint, it isn't. What's unique to this place is not their variety but their food quality. My eggs my Belgian waffle and my bacon were very on point. I forget what it's called but it's on the menu in the upper right corner, the only consolation I would add would be to add the potatoes. I want to go back and enjoy my favorite meal on the weekends, brunch. Downsides to this place are: the wait and the wait and the wait. I had seen a few First Watch locations pop up all around the city, and I decided to find out what they were all about. Boy oh boy, I was not disappointed. Came here with my brother on a Saturday morning and left very happy. Now, given that we live in the age of the pandemic, cleanliness, masks, and social distancing are always a must! First Watch accomplished all these check marks, and they offer service with a smile, (even though you can't see the smile under the mask). From the moment we walked in, I was very happy with the friendly greetings that we got. We were seated quickly, and offered a pot of coffee by an amazing waitress who was so attentive and provided phenomenal customer service! My brother had a BLTE sandwich, while I had Smoked Salmon and Roasted Vegetable Frittata. Food didn't take that long to get to us, and it was very yummy. I would recommend the Frittata's to anyone, they are a great way to get the morning started! This place reminded me of a nicer Denny's, you know, a diner without all the typical dirtiness that you would find at other places. Food was great, place was clean, and not to mention affordable! I had been here once before for breakfast and don't remember what we had ordered but it was not something that we enjoyed much, and didn't think I'd come back. Had a meeting here last week so had to give it another try. Ordered their Kale Tonic, and Chicken Pesto Quinoa Bowl. Both orders were really good! Kale tonic has kale, cucumber and fuji apples. It's very sweet, and I confirmed with them to make sure there is no added sugar or any other sweetener. The quinoa bowl is delicious and a healthy choice. Service and atmosphere was great! My mom recommended this chain for us to eat. She came from out of town. We decided to eat at this location. The first time we came, our food came out cold and the potatoes were under cooked. We thought maybe it was just a fluke thing that happened. We came back 2 days later to try it again. Once again, our food was cold. Our breakfast sandwiches were thrown together and not toasted at all, and I didn't get my side of turkey sausage that I ordered. We sent the food back without eating any of it to get made properly and it took a good 30 minutes to finally get our properly made food... they attempted to wipe off our original plates, but it still had the previous egg yolk and avocado smeared all over the plates. And I still didn't get my turkey sausage. Then our waiter acted annoyed when I asked for it again. There was no apology, no offer to make anything better, just the check placed on the table.
