Came for breakfast after a morning workout with friends! Our server was very kind and sweet. Started with fresh juices which were great! I decided to try the million dollar breakfast sandwich off the summer menu and it was AMAZING! Perfectly cooked and so flavorful! The ambiance is that of any cafe or breakfast spot very nice and quant! Please stop by the breakfast sandwich is a must try.

Another great location of this popular breakfat-centric chain, this one in the trendy Upper Kirby district. Very busy on a Sunday morning but at 10:45 we managed to hit a lull and get seated right away. By the time we finished there were 10-15 parties waiting to be seated. Great selection of standard and specialty breakfast items. The omelettes were perfectly cooked. Pancakes were decent but a touch on the dry side. Their fruit juices/blends are not to be missed.

Always great service when I come here. I have my go-to staples here at First watch and that did not change. The food is consistent no matter when I come or the location i go to, which is something I love. Consistency makes for greta service and a great customer experience. Coffee or kale tonic are ny go to beverages and I love the farmhouse skillet hash.with toast and sometimes a side of fruit. Ive never had a bad server at first watch! I will always patron this business.

The breakfast offered a standard, yet satisfying, selection, delivered with friendly and efficient service. I will say the First Watch is better than a Dennys or an I hop...

Burnt toast because they "can't change the temperature on the toaster".

I've come here so many times and it just gets worse and worse. There are 3 good waitstaff in the place. Most of the time we're forgotten, ignored, get part of what we want, or argue for something to be taken off the tab because they invent new pricing nearly each time we come in. For a breakfast place toast should be pretty basic. As a matter of fact, it should be a highlight. But no, not here. I won't go into details, but today, between our waitress, ignoring us for 10 minutes at a time or longer, forgetting to bring water, coming out with excuses of how someone threw out the re-toasted toast twice, and finally presenting burnt offerings, I think we're done. I watched through the kitchen window as our waitress was cleaning up for the end of her shift instead of taking care of customers. A one off situation like this could be forgivable, but, man it is every single time we come here. The only exceptions were when we have the tall Waiter who is really talkative or the other waiter who has tattoos up and down his arms. He's really kind. We tried! We actually tried a lot harder than they did. Skip it.

I loveee first watch! I've been to quite a few locations and i feel like the layout of this one is definitely the best! There's a good size bar that also opens up to an outdoor area. There's enough windows that light up the space so you don't feel crammed like the other locations but still gives off cozy vibes and yet seems so open. They have a bunch of single use restrooms which I appreciate and they are always clean. Food is always 10/10. My go to is either the elevated egg sandwich or one of the skillet hashes (all are good). I like getting the iced coffee it's definitely on the sweeter side close to chocolate milk lol soooo if that's not your vibe don't order that. A lot of their juices are really yummy too. I love getting the seasonal items. Cinnamon chip pancakes are backkk and are the best thing!! Love that they give you warm syrup in the bottle. Potatoes are also a staple and an honorable mention. Service is always good, wait staff is very sweet and check up on the table often.

Third visit to First Watch for Father's Day. If you're looking for an affordable organic/farm to table restaurant in Houston this is perfect! Dining experience has been the same though -- service is not the greatest, you have to wait a very long time before a server comes to your table and they generally are not very pleasant and seem to want you to get in and out. Outside or bar seating is a vibe! Shrimp and grits were fine, but you get more scallions than you do grits. The Watermelon wake-up drink was generally good (tastes like plain watermelon juice), but even adding a watermelon slice garnish/flag would take this up a notch. Million dollar bacon is 10/10!

    Tri-Fecta and Fresh Seasonal Fruit

Ordered Uber Eats from here as I was in the mood for some brunch in Houston, from the comfort of my hotel, before flying back home. This restaurant came up as one of the better options in town, so I decided to give this place a try. I ordered their Tri-Fecta meal (eggs, pancake or waffle and a side of breakfast meat) with an additional order of fresh fruit, and both items tasted absolutely delicious, and it was just the kind of food I needed before a relatively long flight. The eggs tasted juicy and not rubbery, which is always important. As did the sausage, and the pancakes were even better. Just see the photo attached and you'll see what I mean. Since I only ordered Uber Eats from here, I cannot speak to what the service or ambiance is like here. That will have to be for the next time I come to Houston. I'll definitely order from here again and would recommend for everyone to give this place a try.

Had a great brunch here! My boyfriend ordered the chilaquiles and I got the Benedict's, and both dishes were really good. Everything was flavorful and came out just right. Our waitress, Heaven, was amazing--super friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. We'll definitely be back!

This was an unplanned treat! The food, seating, drinks, and hostess/server were awesome! Claudia took our order and directed us to the perfect outside seating area. We were outside but were seated at the bar. The food was good but there were a couple of things that prevented me from giving my experience 5 stars. The bread I was served was VERY salty. Everything else was great! I will be returning!

For my visit, it was crowded but not to where you couldn't hear your table. Dress is casual, good for friends, solo, or pit stop. Service: 5/5 Our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. Since it was our first visit there, she gave us some background that it was a Pappa's owned restaurant and food is made from scratch. Food: 3/5 They offer mimosas and I was tempted to order, but was driving and it was 9AM so forewent that option. There are food options for every tastebud. Mark ordered the fried cheese sticks, they were one of the items that I found worthwhile to return for. I opted for the Waffle feast. It included a waffle, that I added pecans on top to, two strips of bacon, eggs your way and hash browns. To say that I needed to add salt and pepper to the eggs and hash browns because they tasted bland and flavorless was unfortunate. It also was served at room temperature, because it was made from scratch, would think it be warmer to hot. The waffle was savory and had good mix and topped with the pecans made it even better. If you're on this side of town and want a change up from the "other breakfast diners" DOT would be where I stop. Fast, friendly service. Depending the food you get, it gets the job done for some sustenance to hold you over when you're not sure when your next meal is because you'll be in Galveston for 7 hours riding a float in the Mardi Gras parade.

I wanted to start with one biscuit, but the biscuits come in pairs. The waitress said I could order just one anyway, but the order ended up being two. I meant to save the second one for breakfast, but that was not to be. It did not survive long enough to make it out the door. My actual meal was a bacon swiss and mushroom burger, which was excellent. Between the biscuits and the burger, I am forced to acknowledge that it was entirely too much food. Sadly, that did not prevent me from eating all of it anyway. Delicious! The restaurant, which is a diner with very basic decor, is on an approach road to IAH, and is open 24/7. When I arrived in the evening, the place was empty. By the time I left, there were a whole bunch of customers. I noticed in other reviews that people were saying they did not receive checks for their meal and felt they were over-charged at the register. I did not receive a check either, but the amount I was charged at the register seemed accurate -- and I was paying attention because I had read the other reviews first.
