This was my second time coming but at another location. The spot was really cute and bustling when we went around lunchtime. It is located in a plaza so there is more than enough parking which is really appreciated. I ordered my go-to brunch fave, the classic eggs Benedict which were a hit. The hollandaise sauce was very flavorful and one of the best I've had. The only thing that would have made this dish a 10/10 was that my eggs were not runny at all which was a bit disappointing. We also ordered pancakes to share which were your typical pancakes but very big. My friends really enjoyed their hash and grain bowl and they also raved about the tres leches French toast which looked amazing. Service was also great which is always a plus. Had no issue checking in on the app and I'm glad I did! About 12 parties arrived when we did. We waited only about 10 minutes and we're seated by the lovely hosts. I was really excited to try First Watch, but unfortunately the visit fell a bit flat. We went toward the end of the brunch rush, but were seated pretty quickly. The restaurant's decor was trendy and everything was clean. Service was friendly. Unfortunately, the food was where the experience was disappointing. Two simple breakfasts took about 30 minutes to arrive. Once they did, they were pretty unexciting. The traditional breakfast had outstanding bacon, but the eggs and potatoes were pretty plain. The Power Wrap was running and had the same excitement. First Watch filled us up, and we enjoyed the pleasant service. But the lackluster food would probably keep us from a Second Watch. read more

We went at around 9am on Saturday and traffic was not the easiest, it was surely worth it! Since it was early , we didn't do any waiting time; we got in and were straight lead to our table. The hostess was nice and very polite. Our server was veeery nice, polite, servicing and even gave us 1 cranberry juice refill for free. The pancake we got to share had chocolate chips and it was HUGE AND DELICIOUS!! Fluffy but crispy edges and the chocolate chips were melting so yummy. We ordered the seasonal menu; the feta and pesto eggs and chicken.. OH MY GOD! Absolutely delicious and very flavorful! The portion was very filling and certainly exceeded expectations for a "partially chain" restaurant. We also tried the quinoa super bowl, it was very good as well! I arrived around 8:10 am and the host looked like he did not want to be there. He seated the guy in front of me and then walked away to the kitchen. After a few minutes, he returned to seat me. I asked to be moved to a soft seat and he was very accommodating. The waitress was nice. I ordered the million dollar bacon and toast. The food was cold the first time. The second time it was burnt. The third time the bacon was still not warm. Oh, they forgot the toast the first time. When I finished eating, they took the plate but forgot to give me the bill. When I asked about a survey, they could not figure out how it worked. My family and I have enjoyed the weekend service but weekdays they need more training or customer sensitivity. Came on Sunday morning (9/18) and it was not crowded at all, but definitely do not come after 9AM. Upon arrival there was a couple ahead of us, then me and my boyfriend. The hostess automatically assumed we were all together even before asking because of my boyfriends ethnicity. We were not even standing near the other couple. That was a complete turn off!!!! I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict and the eggs were not even poached. I attached a photo and as you can see they are hard boiled. Visited this place this morning for breakfast as I do at least 2 to 3 times a week. Not sure what was going on today, but I would say at least once out of the 2 to 3 times that I visit a week. The service is off. They need to work on the service being consistent. Service consistency is extremely important. When I walked in the hostess did not greet me she walked me to a table. far in the back, sat me down and never said one word to me. This is extremely horrible service, that the hostess is not trained to say good morning, how are you, welcome to first watch, or anything of the sort. After being seated, I waited and I watched the clock, a full six minutes before someone came to ask me if I wanted coffee. I ordered immediately oatmeal, a blueberry muffin, and bacon. I looked at the clock again. It took 15 minutes and I still hadn't received my food so I asked the waiter, do you know when my food will be ready. He said let me check. Came back with my food and said oh my gosh, I'm so sorry it had been ready, it was just sitting there. When I received my order, it was wrong. He gave me a chocolate chip muffin instead of blueberry by this time I was irritated I said just give me my check please. Let me pay for my food and leave. He said don't worry about the check. We'll take care of it. I don't want to make this a race thing however there was a another table of Caucasian people seated in front of me of that had been waited on by two or three people getting them water, taking their order, bringing their food out in a timely fashion, and they had no wait-time whatsoever. Not sure why my service was so horrible. When I left, I let the staff know that I was a Yelper and that I would be doing a review. When I got in the car, I called to let them know as well and the manager apologized profusely. I think that the best way to service people is to service them right the first time. Your hostess should speak to everyone that enters your establishment because that is a benefit to your business. I'm coming to spend money in your establishment and I should be greeted properly. It should not take six minutes for someone to say good morning, may I take your order. And then it should not take 15 minutes to get the order and then get the order wrong. There was only about eight people in the entire restaurant. I will not come back to this First Watch location. read more

A friend had invited me to brunch at The First Watch in Katy. I had no idea how delicious the food would be and I've eaten at The First Watch on Kirby drive 3 times since meeting with her. They open at 7 and close at 2:30. They serve breakfast, lunch, and brunch all fresh to order and delicious. The have healthy options and a bar that also serves healthy cocktails like Vodka Kale Tonic. This place is wonderful and it turns out they have several locations in the area. I'm a fan. Located on corner shopping center with ample pkng. Got seated right away - fresh coffee came first and breakfast came out quickly. The food was okay. I went early one morning and took a book. The server initially was gracious but I took my time to enjoy the food and glance at the book. Did not plan to be there that long. The server without asking brought me my check and took my plate. I wanted to order more food or another drink but I got the impression they didn't like what I was doing? Worst Service I've ever received in my life. Honestly the food is GREAT, really good food but our server ARIEL , was not welcoming at all. As a couple that work in the industry we know how much service matters. We get there, she just asked us whether we wanted water or just coffee, no time to look through the menu, as she keeps repeatedly coming back to ask us if we were ready to order. After being rushed to order, the food comes out but she only got one order right, keep in mind we got there at 12:40, giving an hour and 20 minutes to eat, It's had to wait 10 extra mins for my food to come out. It came out, and as we are still eating she just leaves the check there. We waited there 15 more minutes for a single togo box. Sadly will not be returning. Maybe she was having a bad day or what not, but ruining other peoples dinning experience is not the way to go. read more
