    Baby Barnaby's Menu ~ September 2025
    Jean S.

The breakfast potatoes are their best item. Baby Barnaby's is the little restaurant on the side of Barnaby's that serves breakfast, before the regular Barnaby's opens. I was surprised to find a lengthy wait when I arrived on a Monday (holiday) for breakfast. Inside the restaurant, it's small and tightly packed with diner tables, but nice wall decor. The menu had typical American breakfast fare. We ordered the Corned Beef Hash and Eggs ($14.95) and the Breakfast Plate ($13.95). The Breakfast Plate came with two eggs, bacon, potatoes, and biscuit. The potatoes were plentiful, crispy and delicious. The biscuit had honey on it...I liked it. The eggs and bacon were good. The Corned Beef Hash was just okay. There were thin, small pieces of corned beef scattered among a sea of good breakfast potatoes. The dish was topped with two fried eggs and toast. It felt like I just ordered egg, potatoes, and toast because there wasn't much corned beef. They also had outdoor seating, but it was raining pretty heavy that day. Our server was John and he was cool. Overall, good breakfast food if you are looking for a breakfast or brunch spot.

I have been to a few of the Barnaby's locations, but I have to say that this is my favorite. I don't know why I haven't been here sooner since it's close to home. A friend recommended Baby Barnaby's for brunch. I love breakfast food, so this was up my alley. We were concerned because it was a holiday, and they typically are open 7 am - 12 noon Monday - Friday and 8 am - 2 pm on the weekends. The patio seating is open on the weekends to dine. Since it was a Monday, and we planned on meeting at 11:15 am, we took a chance to see if they would still have the kitchen open. I arrived first and walked in at the "OG" location next door. It was so packed, but the guy was helpful in letting me know that the kitchen was still open and that this side had limited breakfast and a lunch menu, and Baby Barnaby's had breakfast all day with more options. I was happy to know they were still accepting customers. There's a small, rocky lot and street parking available. We walked through the connecting area and signed our name on the clipboard and waited in the covered patio area until they called each name in order. We waited about 20 minutes before we were seated, and 20 minutes before closing. The booth seats along the wall were comfortable to dine in. It was a small dining space but seemed to be filled with happy customers enjoying their food. I ran into a high school friend and his fiancé as they were leaving and inquired about what to get. She recommended the green eggs and to sub toast for their biscuits. That's exactly what I ordered plus fresh OJ. The food that was taken to us the first time wasn't ours, and we politely told the person delivering that it wasn't ours. Our food came out in under 20 minutes from being seated and ordering. I particularly enjoyed everything on my green eggs plate and appreciated the huge portion. The green eggs was like a soft scramble, which I prefer, and had spinach, artichoke hearts and cheese. It was served with an abundance of seasoned cubed breakfast potatoes, chicken apple sausage cut open faced in half and 2 buttery biscuits. Everything was so good. I ate half of that plate and took the rest home which made for another great meal. The orange juice was sweet and fresh squeezed via a machine. They filled it to the top of the glass. My friend ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes that came with fresh berries, soft butter and syrup on the side. The pancakes were so buttery and really didn't need the butter or syrup with the dash of powdered sugar and fruits. I typically don't like citrus pastries or desserts, but the lemon flavor was not overpowering. These are part of their seasonal fruit pancakes. I would like to try their red velvet or regular buttermilk pancakes next time. We weren't rushed to eat even after it was past noon. There were still plenty of diners there. A big group left, and they were greeted for stopping by. On the way out, the guy I spoke to at the "OG" Barnaby's even opened the door and thanked us as we walked past to the parking lot. So nice! I have found my new favorite breakfast spot! It's inexpensive, has homey meals, and friendly service.

This place has been my go to spot for years. The breakfast hits every time. It's a place to go to when you want a decent delicious breakfast without the instagrammable crowd. You just want good food and a diner experience. It's consistent, the staff is friendly and super accommodating, and the overall experience is always going to be a positive one. You will eat goooood! I recommend pancakes and potatoes. Get both. Whatever dish you get, make sure you get some type of pancake and the potatoes. Trust me!

    This is the place!

The main draw for this place is the staff. They're absolutely hilarious on point and funny. They will keep you entertained the other reason to come. Is the people watching the customers are eclectic and interesting. The food is yummy. The coffee is hot and the service is very good. Come for breakfast and come for the show. Sarcasm is no charge and quite frankly it has very little calories. i'll be back. This is a place you can bring new friends and old and everyone will have a grand good time. It always seems to be a wonderful place for conversation and if you can't get the conversation, started, your server can light the match.

This restaurant was a perfect quick breakfast when i visited Houston back in March 2025. It was right across the street from my Airbnb so I was able to walk there. I sat on the patio and enjoyed coffee, steak and eggs and a nice breeze. The inside was fairly small and completely packed out which is why I opted to sit outside. I love a restaurant that has an indoor and outdoor seating option. And my server was super attentive and kind.

Green eggs, migas, french toasts, orange juice and grapefruit juice. Balanced brunch !!!

It's been some years since I've written for them. But I attest that the food, the service, the ambiance, everything remain the very same ! It's still only open for breakfast/ brunch hours only! Baby Barnaby's provides con-sis-ten-cy. To be sitted, still need to sign in on paper, located by their kitchen door outside and wait (very patiently!) for your turn. Groups more than 4 are very complex to be sitted because of the small space. On a great weather day, choose for either sitting outside or inside. Menu is the same, nothing new, nothing less. We do have our go to and tend to order the same. That is: - green eggs: for the healthy kick of eggs + spinach. - migas: for the little kick of tomatoes - french toast or pancakes : dependent on the sweet tooth level (or mood really) - fresh squeezed orange juice !! Their potatoes are always so crispy. Their plate presentation is so simple and appetizing. Everything remains the same. The service team is so sweet and fun and pleasant. (Maybe a slight increase in prices, but what can you say... Life) This is Houston name and I'll keep coming back!!!!

A friend invited me here on my last day in Houston. It was a sad occasion, but this place brightened our spirits. We had a bit of a wait; that alone told me we were in for some good eating. Once inside, we both ordered the chicken and waffles and were pleased. The waffles were cooked to a golden brown. The chicken was big, crispy pieces, with a crunch with every bite. It's such a huge dish we ended up taking to-go-home boxes. But getting back to the decor that caught my eye. The colors inside and outside were brown and yellow with touches of green. The restroom had pictures of dogs on the wall. The server told me the restaurant was named after the owner's childhood dog and that there's a doggie menu in honor of him, too. I thought about my sweet Lulu; she would have loved it here.

Delicious food, great service, terrific staff. Exactly the kind of spot you want to visit. I got the green eggs and they were delicious. The red velvet pancake actually came in a traditional "cake" form of a pancake and was a perfect sharable dish. Not sure if he was the owner or a staff waiter, but he was personable and made it seem like a small town local joint. You do wait by writing your name on a clipboard - so be prepared to potentially wait a while. But it was worth it! This restaurant brings people together. Can't wait to go back next visit and get the French toast.

The coffee is organic and a very nice tasting coffee. I would classify it as a breakfast blend. It is not strong and has a balanced flavor. A great start for your morning. The food is amazing! There are other reviews that detail each entree, and they are all spot on. You definitely can't go wrong eating here!

lemon ricotta pancake, side of bacon and eggs, waffle, migas, and freshly squeezed orange juice.

Food was amazing. Everything was good. Orange juice is freshly squeezed. Staff was very warm and welcoming. Very cozy, homey vibes. Will be back. Short wait for a Sunday morning.

Pork chops, eggs, cheesy grits, and honey butter biscuits. Yummers!

Stopped by for brunch on a Saturday. Waited an hour to be seated - the place is super tiny, you have to sign in using a sheet of paper attached to a clipboard to get a table (ugh is there no better way in this day in age???). Thankfully once seated the experience was great. Server was really kind and helpful and the food was soooo good. Parking is typical for the area: street parking only and pay attention to the signage to avoid being towed.

Eggs, chicken sausage, (so good), potatoes, Honey Biscuits and gravy!
    Roxann S.

Breakfast at its finest! Such a darling place, so quaint and warm. The service is excellent and for a moment, you feel as tho you are at your Grandma's house and she has cooked up the food just for you! The Biscuits and Gravy (an indulgence for sure) are so delicious along with everything else! I couldn't help but notice the waffles at the other tables. People were raving about them. Maybe next time? Give this place a try I think you will love it!

Went here with my BFF to have breakfast. The food was fantastic and the price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Had to take half of my meal home. The waiter was very friendly and informative. My first time there but I will definitely be back. There is a sign in sheet outside the building, however the wait time isn't terrible.

This breakfast nook is so cozy and cute

We came on a Friday after work and it was packed! Parking lot full (they do valet as well) but we found street parking. Walking in, it was lively and fun and we were luckily sat at the bar. Our bartender, Robert, was awesome and really took care of us. He gave us a rundown on drinks, food, etc. We essentially ordered one of every item on the HH food menu except the plantain and dip (which we'll have to do next time). Their happy hour food menu is essentially a tasting menu, smaller bowls of their main dishes with some apps and test items. There wasn't an item I didn't like but the golden and the fried chicken bites were 2 standouts for me. The golden has perfectly seasoned and grilled chicken with a curry sauce, rice, and plantains. The mixture of textures and flavors is just great on the palate and each bite can be a little different keeping it interesting. Drink-wise, I tried the musa mule, redbush sidecar, and OGA palmer (NA). I really enjoyed the redbush sidecar, it was bright but still had the earthiness of a darker liquor. The musa mule was alright, I thought it was refreshing but not my favorite drink. The OGA palmer was also super refreshing and great if you don't want any alcohol. I didn't eat it with the liver moouse since I felt like it was already pretty rich on its own. I did like the foie gras jus with the duck. - Roasted Brassicas - The broccolini and cauliflower helps bring a little bit of freshness between each bite to the duck. We were too fully so we didn't order an actual dessert but definitely interested in trying the baked alaska.

It was a drizzly morning and the line was down the block for this place. I heard that it got busy,…read morebut seeing it in action was a totally different experience. My friend got out the car to hold a spot in line, and then we parked and followed. The staff regularly checked on people in the line which was wonderful, it was awesome when one of them told us that we could do next door but just be limited to 7 signature items and drinks. We reviewed the menu and saw if there was anything outside of those items we wanted, and we didn't, so we went on over. We waited maybe 5 minutes and WOW. The wings and grits I got were fire yall, seriously. There was a table with sauces, seasonings, napkins, etc. And there was a counter with cups full of ice and a water station. We were set. The food was sooooooo good. I see why they have a line. They own a bunch of spots around town, including a Caribbean one I hope to get to one day. This is one I absolutely have to return to!
