The food was so full of flavor and cooked to perfection!!! The chicken fried chicken was tender on the inside and had the most wonderful crunch crust. I wish I knew how they made it. The mashed potato's were creamy and perfect. The green beans were good but could have had a bit more flavor. My co worker got the chicken and waffle and she really enjoyed it minus the fact that it was just tenders and not wings or a chicken fried chicken. It is a bit pricey and a bit of a splurge but it was worth it. The soft drinks are $5.00 and we both agreed that they had a bit of a weird flavor. Not sure how to describe it. You don't need reservations, you can just seat yourself during lunch.

Enjoyed our visit to the Main & Green. Nice and quite environment. Located on the second floor of Marriott Medical Center Hotel. We enjoyed the chicken fried chicken! Cooked and seasoned to perfection! I will definitely return before we head back home! Staff is super friendly and inviting! Update: Well, we returned and enjoyed the Angus Burger with fries and the Nachos. The meat had a very pleasant taste as well as the buns! I really enjoyed it. The cheese brought it all together. The chips on the nachos tasted pretty good. The ratio of the chips to toppings were a bit uneven. They could've used a little more chicken but over all delicious! ...3rd time is still a charm...we tried the breakfast buffet this morning...a little of everything is available.

Crazy expensive, go some where else. Breakfast for 3 was $75 and one person had a bagel.

What a delight and great addition to the Houston food scene!…read more Loved everything about this place. The workers (and I think manager?) came by several times to not only introduce themselves but also make sure we didn't need anything or have any questions. They were SO nice to thoroughly explain the menu and let us try the different curries since it was our first time. I read the Irie Punch was very strong/heavy so I decided to get Gin & Juice and I'm so glad I did - it tasted exactly how it was described on the menu. All the food and curries are packed with flavor and I love how you can customize the bowls to how you want it. My favorite was the black star yassa curry and the golden (which is also a fan favorite). The suya beef skewers is also a hit. Everything also came out VERY quickly and the food was all packed with flavor, fresh, and had good portions. Make sure you make reservations because it's a small restaurant but I heard they are expanding. The parking is also little bit too hard to find (but there is valet) but I have gone through worse. I will definitely be back! Thank you to the restaurant for a great experience.

We also ordered the beef skewers (polo club suya) on the side. Even though the golden bowl is the classic, I actually thought the auntie mawa's had more umami. While the food was very solid, I wasn't blown away, so I'm rating this a high 4. I also thought my rice was a little too smoky (like when a blowtorch gets too close to the food and you taste the butane smell). Not that the rice was blowtorched but it had that same kind of flavor. The kale was also a bit hard to cut as it was one large leaf on top of the rice. But its fried thin texture was nice. Lastly, we ordered the plantain bread. I think it's worth getting and the cream they put underneath is a nice touch. They also crisped up the edges nicely before serving. Service was great! Our server Alexis was attentive and friendly without being overbearing.

When you're stuck in town but want to feel like you're in a tropical destination, The Toasted…read moreCoconut is where you need to come. The team behind the popular restaurant Nobie's opened up this tiki inspired restaurant. Tiki bars happen to be one of my favorite varieties of bars so I was more than excited to finally check it off my list. I had recently seen them on the Food Network as well. They share a lot with another popular dining spot so parking can be a little difficult in their lot. You can find street parking or park across the street in an overflow lot. Customer service was great from start to finish. We had just ate next door and our intentions were to come in here just for cocktails, but I couldn't leave without trying some of the popular items. I wanted the most tropical drink I could find on the menu so I started off with the Blue Hawaiian. I saw fire on the description so my extra self needed to have it. I'm a big rum guy so this drink was right up my alley and very boozy with two types of rum. It was very coconut forward with pineapple being the secondary flavor. One was enough for me to feel just right. Since we had just ate, we decided to share the World Famous Cheeseburger. This was a great burger. I don't know if they were going for the smash effect, but it had smash burger characteristics. It had all my favorite things that are musts on a burger like American cheese and red onions. It also had a very nice chili aioli that added great flavor to the burger. I came on another stop for a drink visit shortly after and tried the pork dumplings and popcorn chicken. These were also very good. If I lived in the area, this place would easily be a place I would frequent often. I will most definitely be back!

3/6/26-Michelin Man? More like Michelin...maaaaaaan…read more.. In good Mel and the Doctor fashion, a rough week equates to "let's go have a great night." We get dressed up and venture to Le Jardinier. While we were super excited and ready for a great Friday evening, we checked in with an unwelcoming hostess. Mind you, this is our first impression since we have never been to any of the locations. He asked the hostess if we would be seated close or after our reservation time (that would determine if we would have a drink at the bar), we received a condescending toned response of "you can have a seat and I will work on getting a status update on that." Duly noted. A few minutes later we were told we could go to the bar to only then be escorted to the table. So we will look past that "weirdness" of initial service and get ready for a stiff drink...the bartenders know what they are doing! Martinis were the name of the game and they were perfect. Just perfect. The prefixe and wine pairing was the game plan. But before the fun stuff, came the bread service. Bread was more than bread, it was warm savory pillows with the perfect butter. Made a crumbly mess while tearing up the bread basket, expected table crumbler service, after, nothing. For Michelin, we expected the fine dining cleaning in between each course. The service was odd, and the servers seemed cold. The kanpachi and the scallop of the prefixe were Michelin. Overall, we might give it another shot, maybe it was a bad day...but still grateful to get in last minute due to rodeo season. Let me know your experience!

Service was quick and attentive so 5/5 all around for those "categories" Now the food? Matched everything else! For my appetizer I got the crab hush puppies. I expected something different (I thought it was going to be filled with crap) but it was more so just hush puppies topped with crab. It was good but it didn't blow me away, I think the crab cake would've been a better option I also got the shrimp scampi and steak. The shrimp scampi was flavorful and the steak was absolutely phenomenal, seasoned beautifully, tender, everything you could ask. For desert I got the bread pudding which was solid but nothing super spectacular. Drinks were good, the peach strawberry lemonade cocktail was really good and I highly recommend All in all this was a wonderful dinner and I highly recommend!

Parking ended up being easier than expected--street parking was free after 6 and we found a spot pretty quickly. We asked for a booth, but they told us the only one available was still occupied. The hostess gave us a couple options--either wait, sit in a more busy/noisy area, or go to what they call "the library," which is quieter and more intimate. We chose the library and I'm glad we did. It felt a lot more relaxed and away from all the noise. The place itself is really nice--very chic, good vibes. The bar area was pretty packed and the crowd was super diverse, which I liked. We ordered the crispy squid (calamari) to start--I'd give it like an 8/10. Flavor was good, just not as crispy as I expected. One of the hostesses actually came by and gave us complimentary Prosecco, which was a really nice touch. For mains, I got the 12 oz ribeye (asked for medium rare) with shrimp scampi--I'd say 7/10. Good portion, good flavor. My husband got the cowboy steak (medium), and we shared the gratin potatoes and creamy spinach. Both sides were also around a 7/10--solid, good portions, well-seasoned. The only thing was I think our steaks' doneness might've been switched. Mine came out medium and his was more medium rare. We told our server and we just ate it anyway, it was still good. We ended with crème brûlée--probably a 6/10 for me. It wasn't as smooth and velvety as I usually like, but still decent. Overall, I'd give the experience an 8/10. We enjoyed our time and I'd come back to try other things.

I would limit groups to 3-4 people to avoid the crowding around the wine wall. I say that because the place feels more of an intimate experience that should be reserved for solo dates, dates with your significant other, or when you really need to have a heart to heart with someone. When I went, there were two large parties and the number of tables did not compliment the size of the space; it felt too crowded with all those people there. I enjoyed the smooth process of the wine experience but warning, you'll be surprised at how much you spend at the end so come during happy hour! The menu truly complimented the wine selection; my favorite being the shrimp. My only complaint is there is a major room for improvement in the lack of sweet treats. The only option was bread pudding (which I never had) but they were "out" (I arrived 1hr after they opened on a Sunday) I recommend adding chocolate that could be paired with fruit bowl option to the menu.
