Outstanding breakfast. We had a party of six and the waitress was right on the top of everything we needed. The place was extremely busy and we did not have to wait at all on anything. Between the six of us we had a variety of pancakes, omelettes and waffles. The only disappointment was the potatoes everyone that got potatoes at the table thought they were bland. The mixed greens, which I had were delicious. If it wasn't for the potatoes I would give them a five star. Everything is reasonable priced considering it is at Keystone. This is a great breakfast/lunch restaurant. We have eaten here many times now and are never disappointed with any aspect. Service, cleanliness and food choices are all great! First Watch is my go to spot for Breakfast. It is always warm inside with both temperature and friendliness of the staff. They have great healthy options, my fav being the avocado toast with eggs! I've had First Watch before in another state and had a very different experience this time. There was a really long wait but it was Mother's Day so that was completely understandable. When we got our seat the waitress was extremely friendly and personable and very sweet. My dish was great but my mom and sister had a few issues. My mom asked for syrup with her french toast and was brought some about 10 minutes later. This was a little bit of an issue because her food got cold while waiting. Then, my sister took a bite of her strawberry cheesecake french toast and pulled out a very long hair. We were all really grossed out. Now, the redeeming part of this is, I know this can happen at any restaurant and the waitress AND hostess were extremely accommodating and felt terrible. I was very impressed with how First Watch handled the situation and even took care of our bill. This is why I gave them such a high ranking. Just had very disappointing food and presentation for my "lunch treat" on my day off. Chicken Pesto Quinoa oversauced, and had to search to find the promised kale. Carrots were from a bag, and had that old flavor and the chicken was pre cooked, likely frozen given taste texture. No sides, crackers, anything but a plain bowl on the table That and a diet coke was nearly 12 dollars! Definitely won't go back. read more

Dropped in this morning to see what all the fuss was about. They surely delivered. I got the famed Chickichanga. While I probably should've gone with my original intention (a hash variation), this dish was excellent. My wife has the Belgian waffle with a blueberry sauce on the side which was excellent. We really enjoyed the coffee as well. Price was on point. Only complaint was slightly slow service. I noticed it more on behalf of two tables nearby than ourselves though there was a slight lag on our account as well, but but enough to bother me. Will definitely be back. read more

I have been to this locale at least 5 times before. I have always found it to be a great place for interesting breakfast/brunchy fare. The first time was the hook, and though it's not cheap, I have returned. Yesterday's I relived my first time, but it was even better. I ordered, tasted, ate it slowly so it would last as it was simply the best dish I have ever had there: The Heirloom Tomatoes served on toast with a ball of burrata cheese (similar to buffalo mozzarella but wetter, creamier, died-gone-to-heaven luscious) with cooked to perfection wafted eggs. The dish is simple, a little dressing on the tomatoes on a most pillowy whole wheat oat thick toast on this planet! do they bake that bread there? I saw the woman in the next booth putting her two carby slices away from her plate. I was of a mind to ask her if I could have them! I also ordered the Millionaire's Bacon, four very crispy bacon slices submerged in black pepper, brown sugar, and maple syrup. We split that order. Great place. We came in on Mother's Day. It was slammed but they were awesome. Figured if it was this packed it was worth the wait. They set us up with a text notification (Freaking awesome. Love places that do that so you can explore around a little). Checked in on Nowait App to see how many people were in front of us. Got seated quicker than was told. Service was awesome. Food came out fast and was incredible. Probably the best brunch place we've had in quite awhile. The Parma Hash could use a third egg instead of just two but still was pretty great. This is our favorite place to eat on Sunday mornings. We got here about 10:30 and we didn't have to wait long to be seated. The service is fast and friendly. The decor is bright and cheery. What we really love is the food! There are fresh healthy selections and traditional favorites. We have tried numerous things and have never been disappointed. They have seasonal offerings too. Today I had the vegged out omelet with dressed greens and my husband had the Ba ha turkey burger. We finished and left at 11:15 and the place was packed! On my honeymoon. Found this little gem driving through. Food-fresh and delicious. Service-friendly and fast. Menu-great mix of classic and eclectic with a great use of local produce. Even the restroom was immaculate. Cleaner than mine!! Every other breakfast for the rest of my honeymoon will have this place to live up to. Indianapolis is blessed to have it. read more

My husband and I are huge brunch fans and thought we know about all the good ones in Indy. We stopped in at First Watch on Sunday and we will definitely be back. We came by around 11 a.m. and surprisingly only waited 5 minutes or so to be seated. I had the avocado toast; it was fresh and delicious. My husband got the Key West Crepeggs. He was a big fan. Well, we had higher hopes based on the reviews. It seems ran very inefficiently from the time you walk in the door. Fairly quick to be seated once we could figure out where the line was to be put on the list. However the hostess was irritated with customers and I heard her cuss under her breath at least 2 times about them. Seriously?!?! Our waitress was slower than molasses and we could barely hear her. It took forever to get our coffee and water when we were seated. We were holding out for the food to make up for this and sadly it did not. We both ordered the everything omelette. The egg was so thin and it barely had any cheese or meat. $27 for 2 omelette a and coffee was a little steep especially for what we got. We will go to LePeep or Cafe Patachou next time. read more

First let me say that we have previously eaten at a First Watch (the Sand Lake location) while vacationing in Orlando. The experience there was awesome - great food properly prepared, excellent service, and a truly enjoyable time. So we were naturally excited to discover that First Watch had come to Indy and looked forward to repeating our experience. Unfortunately our breakfast experience at the 86th Street location was a major disappointment. The coffee had a great aroma, but was bitter to the taste. The food was mediocre at best, and certainly did not live up to our expectations after our meal in Orlando. To be specific, the English muffins were tough and chewy; the potatoes dry and bland and the Works Omelet was anything but, and haphazardly prepared to boot. The Key West crepe had what appeared to be tiny cubes of ham, but there were so few pieces and so little taste, it should have been called an avocado crepe since there were huge chunks of avocado thrown on the eggs and that was the only flavor detected. This place could be so much more. Hopefully someone from corporate will check this location out and fix the problems. Until that happens, eat somewhere else. The service was acceptable. read more

I wanted to love this place. We went for breakfast with our two kids. We were seated right away on a Sunday at 9a. We sat for 10 minutes with no service. Finally tacked someone down to take our order. Then another 10 minutes passed and we asked someone else to check on our coffee. The originally waitress finally came back. Then I asked for no eggs on my skillet. She said she could add avacado. The breakfast was good/average but my husband got eggs and he had the same amount of avacado as me. I didn't say anything and just ate my breakfast. Bill came. They charged an extra $4 for the avacado. Waitress said we were charged for the extra avacado. One, their was no extra avacado. Two, who would pay $4 for a slice of avacado. That's almost half the cost of the breakfast. We won't be back. Their are to many good breakfast options out there. Management needs to train their staff better. Atmosphere is cute. read more

I have been to first watch in Audubon twice, once when it first opened and again yesterday. The first time I went with my husband and the service was extremely slow and the food was mediocre. We assumed it was probably because the restaurant had just opened. I had been to the first watch in Newtown Square and found the food and service to be really good. So I was excited to see one open up closer to me. My husband has been to the one in Wayne and has found that the food there is good as well. So my assumption is it just must be the Audubon location that seems to lack the type of service that this restaurant is known for. Yesterday I went to lunch with my daughter. She's a vegetarian and order the chicken and avocado salad without the chicken and dressing on the side. It took a very long time for our order to come especially since they were not that busy. When my daughter's salad came it had chicken in it and to top things off the server spilled the dressing on my daughter. She gathered napkins for my daughter to clean her self apologized and then we told her that the salad was ordered without chicken since my daughter is a vegetarian. It took quite a while for a fresh salad to be brought out to her and when It came out there was no avocado in it. You would think a salad called chicken and avocado salad the kitchen would at least remember one of the primary ingredients. When mentioned to the server she went to the kitchen to get us the avocado. When the avocado came on a serving dish it was hard as a rock and could not be eaten. When we received the check it was for the full amount owed, there was no apology for the multiple mixups and lengthy wait. As a matter of fact we rarely saw our actual waitress. I would expect something different from a restaurant that is supposed to be so good at what they do. I think this is my last time going to this restaurant. read more

I've been here a total of three times now- and I live forty five minutes away. I'm afraid to go anywhere else in the area in case it doesn't live up to this place. The food not only tastes excellent, it's also fresh and healthy. The service is fantastic, with the food arriving quickly. The price are fairly average for a sit down place. We had 21 people scattered throughout 3 tables and they seated us quickly, fed us quickly and arranged the checks accordingly. Food was fresh, delicious and affordable. I don't think I'll be going back. I have eaten there 3 or 4 times, and each time I've come away feeling it's just too expensive for what you get. Today I ate with a group of 6 other people, and my food showed up 10 minutes after everyone else, which meant everyone got to watch as I was the only one still eating at the end of lunch. Then there was the meal itself. I ordered 3 eggs, bacon, sausage, & coffee. The eggs: TINY - The 3 eggs I got were about half what 3 eggs would have been at home. They also were covered in Cilantro. I'm one of those who's genetic makeup causes cilantro to taste like soap. I picked out as much as I could, but who likes soap flavored eggs? The bacon: Not just crispy, but super duper extra, turn to dust the second they enter your mouth crispy. Burnt is what I would call it. Sausage: It tasted ok, but was very chewy, and gave me horrible heartburn all day. Coffee: It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't almost $3 a cup good either. The cost for this, $17!!!! I honestly think Denny's $5.99 breakfast would have been just as good. It's just overpriced IMO. read more

I should just say that the previous rave reviews are enough and that anyone looking for a delicious option can't go wrong with this place. But that would be a bit of an injustice, given my experience. I have, for YEARS, tempted the fates by ordering Eggs Benedict in restaurants. At first, I was naive (and ever-disappointed), thinking I could find in a restaurant the hollandaise I knew to be hollandaise. Eventually I think it became a sort of perverse quest to prove that the Benedict I knew and craved simply didn't exist in a commercial realm. And then I gave up; haven't been foolish enough to order Eggs Benedict in a restaurant in quite a while. Today, for some reason, I took leave of that disappointed conviction, and am so glad I did! I ordered the Eggs Benedict BLT (Bacon, Lemon-dressed arugula, and Tomato), on a stellar fresh ciabatta with avocado and lightly dressed baby greens...and, of course, the requisite but elusive Hollandaise sauce. The combination of ingredients (leaving aside the sauce for now) is spectacular-for those of you who think the pairing of egg dishes with greens is weird at best, do yourself a favor and reconsider! The delicate, ultra-fresh greens in the sheerest of dressings provide a delightful counterpoint to the richness that is Eggs Benedict. I don't usually eat bread that's avoidable, not because of dietary aversion, but because in so many cases it's boring, unappetizing filler. Believe me when I say the ciabatta in this dish truly adds to the wonderful meld of flavors and textures of the whole. On to the devil in the mix (for me, anyway)-the Hollandaise sauce...oh my goodness, it was so...so...perfect. That truly sums it up, from someone who makes a habit of LOATHING restaurant-prepared sauce. But to be more specific, the consistency was smooth and silky-no gloppiness; the flavors were in exquisite, authentic balance, and completed a dish that would have been lively on its own in a manner you didn't even know it needed until tasting it. So, like I said, anyone searching for a great breakfast/brunch can simply rely on the previous glowing reviews; I'm just providing my very specific two cents' worth! read more
