This little cafe is locally owned and been serving breakfast and lunch for 23 years. They are located in a little strip mall in Nora. The menu is up on a board. We ordered and took a seat (but you can sit and order as well). The staff is friendly and accommodating. Missy prepared our lunch and talked a bit about the owner's restaurant start. I had a bowl of the daily soup, which was Chicken Tortilla. The soup was hearty with lots of vegetables and tender chicken, but could have used a bit more spices. My husband had the Chicken Wrap ($12 daily special) with Asian Slaw. The wrap was good and the slaw sweet. The dining space is clean with stools and a few tables. Cater Me Cafe caught me by surprise! Not gonna lie...I'd seen it before, but honestly couldn't tell if it was open or just catering. I had been working at one of my favorite coffee shops a couple doors down, but them lunch cravings started hitting strong. I walked outside and saw someone walk out door with a to-go bag. Bet! This was EXACTLY what I was looking for! I was in lunch mode so I went with the chicken salad club! The chicken salad was classic (no nuts or grapes) but well seasoned and fresh! The crispy bacon added a nice savory crunch and I tried the broccoli salad for my side. They also had a selection of breakfast sandwiches I can't wait to come back try. The vibe was simple, inviting, and familiar...I felt like I was visiting Aunt Bobbie's kitchen for a quick lunch break! Do you know how hard it is to find a place that serves lunch at 10 am? If you do, here you go. I eat my breakfast at 5 am so I'm always ready to eat my lunch well before the traditional lunch time. This place served me lunch at 10 am. And they were open on a Monday as well. I ordered the Turkey Club Sandwich with Chips for my side. They had a lot of choices for sides such as Pasta Salad, Fruit, Broccoli Salad, and Spinach Salad to name a few. The sandwich was excellent! I also ordered a Chocolate Chip Cookie for dessert. She warmed it up for me without my asking and it was delicious! I visited their one and only spacious restroom that was very clean, well stocked and pleasantly fragranced. Parking is plentiful in the shared lot of the strip shopping location. You can dine in at either their counter with 11 stools or at one of their three tables. We just hosted a large party (70 people) at our home - open house style & Bobbie hit it out of the park. Delicious food & so easy to work with. She managed the party for 4 hours & I was able to enjoy the party & talk to our guests instead of worrying about the food. She is also great about allergies & noting allergies for guests. Cater Me Cafe is located in a small strip mall, Nora Shops, just south of 86th Street on the east side of Westfield Boulevard. There is abundant convenient, free, off-street parking in the mall lot. The dining area is small with seating for about a dozen and a half diners at counter stools and tables. It is clean and bright and set up in an L-shape wrapped around an open food prep area. There are no televisions. There are, however, a selection of current daily newspapers available. In my experience the service is always fast and friendly. The morning menu includes a typical range of egg, bacon and sausage, biscuit and muffin, fruit choices, and more. The midday menu offers an assortment of wraps, sandwiches, and salads. The prices are all quite reasonable. I was there just earlier this week at mid-morning and ordered the Sausage, Egg, & Cheese Casserole and the Biscuits & Gravy. I have been to the cafe and we have used their catering many times. Everything they serve is delicious and made to order. Need gluten free options? No problem. Got a group with an allergy to nuts/dairy/mushrooms/alcohol? They will help create a menu that accommodates all of your needs. My personal favorites items are their quiche, Asian salad, and cookies. Or scones. Or buttered yeast rolls. Actually, any of their baked products are on point so you can't go wrong. As for their staff, I don't think you can find a group of nicer people. The success of your event is just as important to them as it is to you. Honestly. They are all helpful, accommodating, and truly great people. I would be doing everyone a disservice if I didn't mention the fact that everything is perfectly priced. We ordered cookies from Cater Me Cafe for my organizations 50th Anniversary Celebration. They were so easy to work with and the cookies were scrumptious! Nicest people who will have an actual conversation with you, so if you are friendly and want to get to know some local restaurateurs and great caterers, then pay them a visit. They are a small shop so if they have a big order to fill or event, they might be closed on a random day or close up early. The homemade soups are a must and the daily specials are hard to beat. Typically I love "hole in the wall" restaurants as they are usually hidden gems. This is not one of those places. The food was cold or too hot and the prices were high for what you got. With that being said if I wanted microwaved breakfast I would have stayed home. Because everything is microwaved all dishes are plastic microwave-safe dishes that look to have been used since the 90's. I chose this restaurant based on it being #1 in the area but I am completely baffled as to why anyone would have given this over two stars! Not sure what I missed here but no way I will return. Bobbi catered our graduation party and it was fabulous! Everyone raved about her food and the pricing was extremely competitive. She made intuitive menu suggestions, and was extremely accommodating with fluctuating headcounts. She and her assistant moved with practiced efficiency the entire time ....
