We've tried this location twice and have decided we're not returning again. They're were moderately busy both times (9-10am on Saturdays). No hostess at the counter so you're left hoping someone will seat you. Poor customer service in the beginning makes the rest of the meal a hard sell. We've tried the hash skillet, the French toast, breakfast with eggs, turkey, and a pancake, and the chickichanga. Everything was mediocre.. Nothing spectacular. I got sick from the chickichanga.. My wife and I thought the food was awesome! I had the Swisshroom Omelette (sub'd a biscuit for the English muffin) and coffee; my wife had the Trifecta with link sausage. The omelette was light, fluffy and delicious, the American potatoes were quite flavorful w/o being greasy. My wife's waffle was excellent and her eggs came out perfectly. I've eaten here multiple times, i've had a few problems here and there with customer service but nothing major but I went 2 days ago and had an awful experience. My friend and I waited for service for about 10 minutes then when she came up finally,we were ready to order and she rushed away and said be back to take your order. umm but we were ready?? then when she comes back we order and she explains to us that shes having to take alot of tables because they let someone go home early, okay understandable. Then we wait about 25 minutes for our food, keep in mind this was suppose to be a quick brunch, and my meal which was suppose to have a side of potatoes turned into a side of lettuce. When I finally got her attention to ask about the potatoes the first thing she does is hand me my check obviously she was ready to get us out of there. First time here with my Dad today and had a great experience. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. She honored our request to put my dad's order in right away as my diabetic Dad needed to eat quickly. It was on the table within minutes and she brought him some bread and jam right after he ordered as well. I ordered the farmhouse scrambler. My over medium eggs were just right and the scrambler was just delicious. The only drawback in my opinion was the price. $2.89 for a cup of coffee seems steep, even by current crazy standards for regular coffee. Our total bill for my scrambler, his 2 eggs with sausage and potatoes plus 2 coffees was just under $30 before tip. We'll definitely be back, but not as often as I'd like at this price. read more

I came here with my mother for lunch after shopping. The service was prompt and friendly. I really enjoyed my dish. It was chicken, quinoa and butternut squash with a balsamic type sauce. It was so delish I told my husband I had to bring him there. He eats paleo/clean so I figured he would like the healthy options. Well, he didn't. He thought the portions were small and the food although healthy it lacked flavor. We both are serious coffee drinkers. Both agreed the coffee was average, nothing special. We had a nice brunch here. We went on a Tuesday at 11am and had no trouble getting a seat. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. I ate the Chickichanga- a breakfast burrito with egg, chicken, chorizo, and avocado. I thought it was a delicious (and was a very large portion with potatoes and a small cup of fruit). Ok this is a mixed review I've been there 4 times the food is good but the service is exceptionally slow. The last two times the food was cold when it got to the table. I came here with my dad and brother as our first stop before a road trip. I thought it was okay. I ordered several different sides because nothing really appealed to me that much on the menu. The waiter was really nice but he brought me the wrong food. After a couple of minutes he came back with the corrected plate. We were seated in the very back of the restaurant in the very corner where there is little natural light when the entire front of the restaurant was wide open. I'm not sure what used to occupy this suite before it became a First Watch but it had an unpleasant odor back there, almost like a pet store. The other customers were incredibly annoying as it seemed to be a group of workout buddies where one woman was cackling and hooting incredibly loudly and none of the staff seemed to be bothered to tell her to settle down. First Watch Johns Creek was our favorite place. The final nail in the coffin was when they completely remodeled and it lost any sense of intimacy at all. Now it's communal/cafeteria style and VERY loud. It is inefficient and 2 or 3 people are seated at 10 seat tables as people stand in line forever. It's sad it used to be a special place. This was my 4th visit to this location. My first 2 visits were fine but the 3rd visit we had a horrible waitress and it took forever for our food to arrive when she finally returned to our table to take our order. Keep in mind the restaurant was empty. We just assumed they were having a bad day and decided to try it again today. Well......that was a horrible mistake. The restaurant was almost empty again, which should have been our clue since it was around 1 ish. I ordered my normal, the Greek Fetish. After 40 minutes of waiting, it finally arrived and was a total disaster. The omelet was rubber and had a spoon full of the ingredients. The potatoes were few and half done. We flagged down our waitress and showed her the omelet and she looked at it in disbelief because of the lack of ingredients. She took it back and returned with another omelet 15 minutes later which was better because at least it had most of the ingredients but unfortunately they were raw. My other co-worker actually got sick at the restaurant from her omelet and we asked for the manager who basically came by the table while we were explaining our issue to our waitress and kept walking. We asked if that was the manager and they said yes. We later found out his name was Steve. We will not be visiting this establishment again. read more

I rate my experience as a one star because of the service or lack of. We sat down at 2:05 and were rushed the entire time seated. If they didn't want us to eat there they could have said our kitchen is closed. Instead they constantly reminded us that they closed in 25 minutes. We tried to crack some jokes and such to get the waiter to laugh he didn't even smile. Every thing we asked for it was like we were asking him to get us something from his personal stash. I just want a Coke, not for you to act like you have to go mix the ingredients in the back. The food was okay and instead of waiting on us, almost every employee was at the bar watching a basketball game. When we got our bill and the mothers at our table went to the restroom to wash our kids' hands. At that time, our waiter started cleaning off our table. I get taking plates but he started taking everything saying "Yeah we are trying to get out of here." It was only 2:30 at this time. We decided he was going to spray us with multi-purpose next if we didn't get up, so we got up and waited at the door as they swept around us. We're a very easy family to wait on, so for us to have a bad experience, the service has to be pretty terrible. We won't be back until under new management. :( read more

Wow what a great place for breakfast. Healthy and decadent menu made fresh. Server told me they use organic produce, 100% natural meats and cage free eggs. My husband had the Floridian french toast, sour dough french toast topped with fresh fruit, and I had the Tri-Athlete omelet and it was wondeful. Egg white omelet with roasted crimini mushroom,roasted onions and green chilies served with salsa and fruit. Tasty and low-cal. I tried J.Christophers 3 times and left disappointed every time. My hubby and I received a buy one, get one deal in the mail and decided to give this place a try. I must admit that prior to receiving the coupon, I drove by and seeing the name, thought J. Christopher's was replaced by a daycare center. We went early on a Sunday morning so we were seated right away. The server was friendly and thorough. My husband ordered the Works omelette and a side of bacon. I grabbed a Chickichanga without the tortilla and we ordered 2 pancakes to share. The omelette and my egg dish were great. The potatoes on the side are bland as can be, but not so different from most of the breakfast spots around here so as usual, I don't eat them. Bacon was perfectly crisp. The pancakes were the worst part of the meal.This hurt my feelings because it was the one part of the meal I was most looking forward to. Also, if I didn't have a coupon I would have been pissed to pay the $1.29 each for pancake syrup. If the pancakes were great, I would just bring my own from home next time. However, the pancakes were dry and crumbly. I can taste the corn meal in them, which is fine. I just think they need to add extra egg and butter to the batter to moisten these puppies up. They were inedible. I was surprised that the server doesn't take the check, you have to pay at the register. Odd and awkward as by the time we were ready to leave the foyer/waiting area was packed with folks waiting to be seated. I've been three times and sampled several things from the menu. I actually think the prices are pretty fair given the quality of food and the atmosphere. Chickichanga and Avocado Toast are my favorites, and the salads and sandwiches are awesome. On busy weekend mornings, the food can take a while, but it's always been hot and worth the wait. Had a wonderful breakfast with our grandson and have to say this First Watch ranks as the best for food so far and we have visited several countrywide. The "kitchen sink" pancake (banana nut +blueberrys+wheat germ+oatmeal) was fantastic. We prefer our bacon super extra crispy and it was perfect. Our grandson likes his "medium" and his was perfect as well. It's a small thing but you'd be amazed how many times we've had to return bacon when we order our preferred style. Went to First Watch yesterday for breakfast. I was there about a month ago for the first time and it was mediocre and expensive. Came back for my second visit and it was bad and expensive. There were only four tables with guests and it still took forever to get my cold tasteless food. I would have sent it back but I was out of time. I love First Watch in Sarasota, FL. I was excited when I found out they opened in Johns Creek. We've been a few times now. They really need to get their act together. The wait staff is very slow and our food came out luke warm. I had the blueberry pancakes and the blueberries were extremely bitter and tough. I'm sure they were frozen to start with. My dad had an over easy egg that was border line raw. My mom's pancakes came out crumbled. They had to remake them. The first time we came in I ordered the blueberry pancakes w/out the granola b/c my daughter has a nut allergy. I didn't see the granola until after my daughter had a few bites. Needless to say we got our meal for free. They were lucky my daughter didn't have an allergic reaction. Again...they really need to get there act together or they won't last. Our first 2 visits to this restaurant were great. Good food and good service. Our 3rd visit on Sunday was a horrible experience. Glasses with greasy finger prints and coffee cups with papers were left on the table when it was reset for 7 of us. 2 of our party had dirty silverware wrapped in dirty napkins, still damp from previous user. One entree was served on a dirty plate. The food was extremely disappointing. No one finished the meal. The Reuben sandwich had very questional meat ( definitely not corn beef) ,on one half of sandwich and just sauerkraut on the other half of sandwich. The roast beef sandwich was tough and tasted bad. The chicken salad open face sandwich was mostly dressing with raisins and celery. Hardly any chicken. The toast under the chicken salad was burned and hard. The glasses and cups on tables should be completely removed between each setting for customers. People handle them and cough or sneeze over them. YELP! Definitely will not go there again.
