Needed a breakfast spot while in town and here is where I landed. Such a breath of fresh air. Great food. Great pricing, phenomenal people. As I walked up I noticed a line hanging outside the door... hmmmmm, I wondered would I be able to be seated and not have to be at the bar? Well, I opted for outdoor seating and this was a "way around" the wait. Outdoor to the patio we go. Everything was ok until a saw these 2 huge "service dogs" sitting outside with their owners... ehhhhhhh not the way I wanted to spend breakfast, smelling dog, but I figured maybe it'd be ok. But it wasn't through the meal when the wind kicked up, I smelled dog. And I even noticed one of the owners feeding the dog from the table... Eww. Additionally, this so-called "service dog" rose up on all fours when another dog walked on the sidewalk outside of the patio. I thought service dogs were... Never mind... I love how the menu is sectioned off into a sweet side, a healthier side, traditional... Seems like there's something here for everyone. The menu was an easy read and even going using the QR code to 'eat with your eyes' as they put it was also great because there's an opportunity for you to see exactly what the food looks like prior to ordering. I ordered the breakfast tacos, hold the meat, a morning meditation & a honey crunch iced coffee. Breakfast tacos, hold the meat or quite feeling. The avocado was fresh. The eggs were scrambled perfect to perfection and the tortillas were different from what I've ever had, but I love them all the more. The morning meditation was a mixture of orange juice, beet juice, tumeric and some other ingredients And it was blended perfect to perfection. No one ingredient overpowered the other. And to look at it was quite delightful. And the honey crunch ice coffee was created perfectly. The glass had caramel drizzled on the inside and the iced coffee filled the glass. There was a layer of foam and decorations on top of the phone. It was really too pretty to drink, but I ordered it, so I had to partake of the velvety goodness of the iced coffee. The ambience was perfect, minus the "service animallllls" that were outside on the patio with me. If you are people watcher, this is a great area to be in. I was able to enjoy my meal and watch the traffic as people approached the red lights and left on their way to their destinations, busying themselves with things to do and places to be. I found pricing to be just right, not too high, perfect inline with the standards for breakfast brunch restaurant meals. I will try this place again next time I'm in the area. Maybe they'll franchise in New Orleans... But until then, when I return, I'll sit inside. read more

To start off it was a Saturday we wanted First watch.. OK do the online check in and well we get to the restaurant and there is a packed restaurant. I expected nothing less. So we checked in, get seated. Wham drinks are there within 5 minutes of sitting down. I was reading email and WHAM ordered food is there within 15 minutes of sitting down. I am impressed. As we were eating we realized most of the customers are just sitting talking plates all cleared(this is a sign), well I say thats OK if the restaurant is slow. OK I'll whine here, if the place is packed and theres a line let's be courteous to this fine establishment and head to somewhere slower like WB to sit and chat. I love a good First Watch! We have visited many locations all over the country and it is always a hit when we live near one. They have such a great variety of menu items and the seasonal items are always fun and exciting. Service at this location was spot on and the wait between ordering and our food coming out was very quick even though there were many customers at the time. My friend and I had a late breakfast and decided on First Watch, it's one of our favorite places. When we arrived there were people sitting outside waiting g to be seated-first watch is always busy so download the App and get on the waitlist! We found 3 seats available at the Bar Top so we sat and were greeted promptly. I ordered my favorite-Purple Haze and my friend ordered the Morning Meditation. We had a hard time deciding on breakfast as everything sounded so good. They have a Seasonal Menu which looked yummy too but I ordered The B.E.C. the Server recommended to get the sauce on the side-she said it's a little spicy! We had a great brunch here! We enjoyed two seasonal dishes, the lavender French toast and a hash meal. We also had a Pineapple Express drink that was very good. Service was fast and friendly and menu is full of great options as usual. I forgot to check in on their app, so we had to wait about 30 minutes, but it wasn't too bad of a wait. I have eaten at this location a number of times over a period of time. Normally, the food and the service is spot on. So consistently great there is no need for a review. This time was different. First of all, our server, Casey was excellent. She let us know the cook staff was new and to expect some issues. Fair enough. However, the food was so abnormal that a review is warranted for educational purposes. Here is what happened. I ordered the traditional breakfast with a side of French toast. Here was the problem. I wanted sunny side up eggs. I got scrambled. The food was cold and under cooked. The potatoes were hard and chewy. The French toast was chewy. Out of six meals. Only one of us did not complain about the food quality. We spoke to the manager. She was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back. This was a fluke. This is more of a 3.75 stars, we been here several times and we like everything from before... since this place open in 2023, but this time we went recently it wasn't a great experience for the food. Always busy here, but check in online or in person is easy though. Today we ordered Chickchanga and Carne Asada Hash, both dishes was super salty. Especially the diced potatoes. It was hard for us to finished our meal. Could feel our blood pressure going up. If they could tone down on the salt when they are premade in the morning, it would be great. We had the best breakfast this morning before taking my little one to school. My works omelet was amazing. I love their toast, trust me even the toast is tip top. The staff including our server were so amazing. We didn't want for anything. The coffee was super hot and we had plenty of sugars and assorted creamers. Our water came out in the super cute glass bottle with very nice heavy glass water glasses. The restaurant is beautiful, very tasteful decor. Well lit but not so bright you'll get a headache (just incase you come in with a hangover). The seats are comfortable, the restaurant is very clean and the restrooms are exceptionally clean. Overall first watch is a great place to eat. I gave it three stars due to my experience when I first arrived. When I checked in to the host stand and requested I'd like to sit outside, the guy told me that was fine and to sit anywhere out there. I initially sat at a table where the sun was shining directly on my back, so I moved to a table completely in the shade. In the mist of doing that a server from that section walks up to me and says "there is a completely different server in this section and you need to let your server know your moving tables." It caught me off guard when she approached me and said that. Considering no one came to the initial table were I was sitting at. It appeared that she was the only server in the outside section. I made her aware the host told me I could sit anywhere outside and that it seems to be a miscommunication between the employees. Long story short it was her section all together and she was getting off soon. I arrived at 1pm and they closed at 2:30pm. I really wanted to leave but the person I came with wanted to stay, so I took one for the team. When our food was being brought to our table it was delivered sporadically, which caused the food brought out first to get cold waiting for the rest of the order. We chose not to say anything because it was already a burden that we choose to eat outside. One of the Bar servers paid very close attention to detail and saw we were frustrated with how our experience was going and brought us a complementary breakfast drink. Very nice jester :) I ordered the seasonal items from the menu, the brisket hash bowl and watermelon breakfast drink. The smoked salmon Benedict without the eggs and sauce. The person that came with me ordered a morning meditation and the trifecta with a Belgian waffle , breakfast potatoes and a side of million dollar bacon. The food and drinks were 5 stars! We placed our order online and went to pick it up. No one is available in the pickup area. The bag said 1 of 1 with the name. We took it and left. Turns out our order was not complete. When we called they said we had not gotten all our bags. There was another bag with our name on it. Well, cold gross eggs are not appealing. This place is fantastic! I stop by every Saturday for brunch with my family. The staff are amazing and they treat you like old friends. The eggs benedict came with arugula on the side with a light dressing. So fresh and was a great addition to the benedict. I've always loved first watch and this one is even closer to my house. First watch is one of my favorite restaurants so I definitely wanted to go here for breakfast on my birthday. It was my first time at the location on ambassador, and will be my last. Next time I'll keep driving down to north Kansas City for a better experience. I found the ambassador staff was somewhere between friendly and rude. It was as though they didn't care. Starting with seating, we passed multiple empty tables and booths so the hostess, who was bothered by our presence, could seat us at a cramped table right by the kitchen. It was very noisy. Then our waitress wanted us to hurry up and order as soon as she brought our coffee. The food was not bad, although the cook needs to learn over medium isn't the same as over easy. It's not a bad place to eat, but it's not great either. It's just meh. Go to a different location, this one isn't worth your time. read more

Im a little spoiled living in the Southern California beach areas when it comes to breakfast spots - this place blows any beach spot away.
