Low Carb Burrito

Nice spot. I got the breakfast burrito from the healthy options. It was very good. I was impressed. The service is friendly.

English muffin is the star of this one. Hash browns were worst I've ever tasted and you can kinda see the "rubberiness" of the eggs.

I really wanted to go more but 3 stars is probably better than it was this outing. My wife has been before and it was delicious per her however that was a Saturday and this was a Thursday morning. Not sure if that had to do with it but I'm not sure I be using our other gift card. We popped in for a date breakfast. Restaurant about half full fast service and friendly. You could quickly tell we were not part of the regulars sprinkled about but that didn't bother us. Ordered chicken fried steak eggs over easy crispy hash browns with English muffin. Wife had the pancake combo with scrambled eggs and hash browns. Eggs were a little weird almost rubbery whites? But yolk was perfect for over easy. No big deal on that and wife's scrambled were good. Her pancake was ok personally I think it needed so vanilla or almond extract added seemed lacking in flavor. Now here is the reason for the near 2 star review.... hash browns. We both left they after 2 or 3 bites. Now you may not think that's a big deal but I have never left a shred of hash browns in near 50 years. I left 3/4 of my serving. We struggled to pin point the problem but 2 were front runners no seasoning and bad oil for frying. It was that or the flat top was in serious need of a cleaning... the coffee was great and the English muffin was very good.

Saturday morning breakfast at Pegah's. Veggie omelet and fruit and Florida French Toast did not disappoint. Portion size and prices were great along with the service. We would order both meals again.

I eat here twice a week sometimes for breakfast when my wife sleeps in. I am an early riser and Pegah's opens at 6:30 AM. Great traditional breakfast menu, endless coffee and friendly staff. Want consistency with a smile? This is the place. Can get super busy but never a terrible wait, lots of seating and parking. Great PIE CASE!

Mediocre food. Sausage looked literally like a hockey puck. Charged me $3.49 for a child's milk absurd. Service was fine.

I implore you, do not get the chili/cheese burger... or the pie. Food can be real hit or miss.

The food was ok, my server was nice, but a server who said she was a manager, even though her name tag did not was rude.

As a native Alabamian, I'm always up for some southern cooking. I was planning on this being as…read moresweet as Van promised! We really enjoyed our Saturday afternoon meal! It's a lovely restaurant. It seems a bit out of the way with mostly corporate buildings around. The restaurant has a nice modern aesthetic. I like the purple hyacinths hanging from the ceiling in one area. It was very steady for an off time in the afternoon. First, our server Olivia was amazing! Very attentive and we were extra needy this day so I really appreciate her patience. We even dropped food on the floor. Oops! She was so nice about it and cleaned it up immediately. We had customizations and extra requests. No problem for her! She went above and beyond. I hope she sees this because she was such a joy! The food was also very good. We started with the biscuits and one peach compote and one blueberry. Both were yummy. They were traditional drop biscuits and I love a good biscuit! We also had an order of fried green tomatoes on goat cheese grits. You get 4 very large slices. I could only eat one. The grits were yummy but there were not enough of them in relation to the friend green tomatoes. They were also encased by a sauce. I'm guessing a remoulade. I don't really care for remoulade sauce so I'd have removed it had I known it came with the dish. It really overpowered the goat cheese taste in the grits. The tomatoes were very al dente and I would have preferred them cooked a bit more. The dish was still good but my least favorite and I would normally love anything with those ingredients and fried green tomatoes are a favorite so the remoulade (or whatever it was) sauce was a real problem for me. I would definitely get them again without the sauce because they are great otherwise. But that sauce just overpowers every other flavor! I got the chicken tender dinner and others in my party got the bone in fried chicken. Everyone liked their chicken. The tenders were a big size. 4 of them but I hit 2 meals out of them. Everyone liked the Parmesan rosemary potatoes. I really liked the bacon green beans. The only side we weren't impressed with was the Mac and cheese unfortunately. The cheese was not good. We got coffees and a chai. All of them were very good. A bit pricey for the amount you get though. Even with the smaller complaints, I'd still give th a 5 because of the outstanding service and the dishes were overall very good and large portions. We will definitely return and I hope to try out a breakfast item next visit!

Unfortunately, the service side fell flat. We arrived mid-afternoon around 1:30-2:00, and the restaurant wasn't busy. We asked if we could sit upstairs, and the host seemed confused before telling us it was closed, then seated us directly next to a loud group despite plenty of quieter open tables nearby. A few minutes later, we looked upstairs ourselves and saw multiple occupied tables being actively served...what the heck? The most frustrating part of this experience wasn't the seating, it was the complete indifference from the staff. Drinks didn't arrive until after we had already finished eating, and despite the restaurant being relatively slow, nobody seemed remotely concerned. No urgency or communication. Just a normal day for them, I guess. A kitchen can only carry a restaurant so far when the front-of-house operates with this little care for hospitality. The atmosphere gives the impression of a place that wants to feel polished and upscale, but the service felt lazy and disconnected from the guest experience. Mistakes happen in restaurants. What matters is whether the staff notices and cares enough to fix them. We left wondering how a restaurant with food this solid has become comfortable delivering service this poor.

I didn't order an appetizer because I wanted to get straight to the food. I went with the Fried Clucker and a side of waffle fries. This sandwich was unbelievable huge..smothered in their house sauce, which tasted like a milder version of buffalo sauce. I thought the flavor was good, but the fried skin was falling off the chicken. Every time I cut a piece, the breading would just slide right off. Maybe they need to brine the chicken better to help it stick more but it was no biggie, it still had a good flavor. My boyfriend ordered the chicken-fried chicken, and honestly... nothing too special about it. The mashed potatoes that came with it were flavorless at first, but once we added salt and pepper, they were tasty. Now, I get that this is a bar and grill, so I'm not trying to be overly critical or nit-picky but in that category, Brewbakers definitely ranks on the higher end. This is hands down the best bar and grill I've tried when it comes to food. They even serve Jambalaya here.. what kind of bar and grill do you ever see serving this?? Would I come back? Of course! It is out of the way where i usually am, but im excited to come back and try other things off their menu.

We hit the club for brunch with a group, and while the ambiance was pure "Country Club Chic," the execution was a bit more "Sunday Morning Sand Trap." The Liquid Courage I started off my round with two drinks. the Bloody Mary. It was fine--tasty enough, but it certainly didn't change my life or inspire any poetry. However, things got interesting with their Tequila/Cold Brew/Liquor 43 concoction. Topped with an egg foam cap, it was actually pretty solid. A bit of a gamble, but sometimes you have to roll the dice when the menu is trying that hard. The Culinary "Hit and Miss" Then came the food, or as I like to call it: The Great Consistency Crisis. The Steak: I asked for medium-rare; I received medium-well with a "char" that felt more like a personal vendetta against the cow. The Potatoes: Apparently, potato portions are determined by a lottery system. I received about half the amount of the person next to me. Maybe I didn't look hungry enough? The Eggs: My over-easy eggs had crispy, hard edges and arrived at a temperature I'd describe as "lukewarm at best." We also had to hunt down salt and pepper like we were on a scavenger hunt. Honestly, I probably should have just hit the buffet and cut out the middleman. The Service Our server was perfectly nice, but he appeared to be roughly twelve years old. Since he wasn't legally old enough to understand the complexity of a craft cocktail, he couldn't give us any info on the drink menu. We just had to "go with our gut"--which is a dangerous game when tequila and cold brew are involved. The Verdict I'm not saying I won't be back, but consider this a fair warning: if Round 2 involves another charred steak and a side of "room temperature" eggs, I'll be sending it back for a rerun faster than a shanked drive into the woods. 3/5 Stars -- Great for people-watching, questionable for potato-equity.
