Went here for breakfast & I thought it was a cosy 'ol' place. Kinda reminds you of the good 'ol' days.

Felt like I had just walked into an old high school field party but much more refined with coffee instead of kegs. Lol. They had so many coffee flavors to choose from. I ended up going with amaretto because it is impossible to find elsewhere. The coffee was spectacular. Someone noticed that I was trying to catch up with a friend and brought a coloring book out for my 5 y/o. Very much appreciated. All the staff was more than helpful, recommended drinks and were always giving out smiles. So happy my friend introduced me to this place. It is also Veteran owned and they give a Veterans discount.

The coffee was good, they had a lot of flavors to choose from and their pumpkin scone was AMAZING! The scone was nice and moist with a GREAT frosting on top! The baristas were all very friendly and the owner (who took our order) was very helpful when we had questions about the menu! The place itself has a lot of comfy seats, a lot of space to set your food and drinks down along with a laptop or note books, and the bathroom was clean which is always a plus! They have a drive through or you can go inside, the service inside was fast and the food and drinks were great! 10/10 experience!

I ordered online and it was seamless. My food way ready when I arrived and my order was accurate. Service was friendly. The location seemed pretty large and clean. They do have a drive thru and plenty of parking. They have a large menu and on this visit I tried the meatball sub. They offer whole and half sizes. They feature 2 oz meatballs from Scimecas, a whole has 4 making the sandwich over a pound and 51 grams of protein. It's about $14 for a whole but I got it as a weekly special at a mere $10. (Check their socials for more specials!) The sandwich was so good. It was big. The meatballs were delicious and had a good texture and flavor. The sauce was a little sweet but not overpowering. The bread held up amazingly. It had a nice chew and could stand up to all the sauce. There was plenty of cheese. Nice garlic essence. Highly recommend and I'd get it again. They also had $1 hot dogs so I got a few. My pups love hot dogs and these were no exception. I believe they're normally between $3-4 but they are boars head and all beef. I also had one and it was delicious. Who doesn't love a glizzy? They have whole pickles so I had to have one of those. Great pickle. No complaints. I also ordered non-phallic items like a few different cookies. The cookies are bomb. Chewy, soft, big. I'll probably have to get a cookie every time I go. I tried the s'mores, lemon blueberry, and the triple chocolate chunk. All were equally good. Great flavor. Fantastic texture. Get cookies. Again, no complaints. I'll go back and will be recommending them. Check them out!

The restaurant has been open about four years, but the recipes go back much further. The family's original sister restaurant in Argentina dates back to 1987, and the food absolutely feels rooted in tradition and authenticity. This was actually my first experience trying Argentinian food. From the Milanesas section of the menu, I ordered the Napolitana, topped with tomato sauce, ham, and cheese. I later learned it's supposedly soccer legend Lionel Messi's favorite dish. To me, it reminded me a bit of a deep-fried German schnitzel, in the best possible way. It came with delicious fries that disappeared quickly. My wife absolutely loved the freshly made empanadas. One detail we thought was clever: each empanada is stamped with a number identifying the filling, which makes ordering and sharing much easier. The surprise star of the meal was the Rogel cake for dessert. Thin, flaky layers packed with dulce de leche and topped with toasted meringue/ rich, crunchy, sweet and absolutely unforgettable Another fun surprise was the robot that delivers the food from the kitchen before the server brings it to your table. A small touch, but memorable. The pricing is incredibly reasonable, especially considering how authentic and satisfying the food is. Definitely a hidden gem in Kansas City if you're looking to try something different.

I had a ham and cheese empanada that was average. So, I ordered a corn and cheese empanada, and that was exactly as I expected. It was delicious. I also ordered the Marcia Lucia cake. Do order this cause it's awful to try to make at home. It was delicious. The robot server was always visiting our table. He's a cutie. Now, I loved the empanadas. But ordered lemonade and it was the most inedible lemonade I've ever had in my mouth. Either someone forgot the sugar, or it wasn't made to be sweetened. It was so awful, I used all of our sugar which mostly did the trick. Don't order lemonade if you go. Do order the cheese corn empanada and sangria. Lot's of Lionel Messi and World Cup. I enjoyed it cause this is an Argentina restaurant. I hope some of our out of town guests enjoy Los Hornos.

Then as we were putting our coats on and cleaning up our table to leave, he turned the lights off on us and left us in the dark, even though there were still employees there behind the counter working. When we said, 'We're putting our coats on, you don't have to turn the lights off on us, that's really uncalled for,' he responded curtly with, 'I already told you to leave,' followed by a cold look. He treated us in about the most unfriendly, unprofessional, harsh way you could treat polite customers who frequent here. There is a right way and a wrong way to go about letting customers know the establishment is closed and they would like you to leave. Especially after we spent $18 on 3 drinks (one was a small toddler drink). This was the very wrong, rude, unprofessional way to go about it. He was very cold and short in the manner he spoke to us and treated us, even in looks he was giving us. It was like he was taking his bad day out on us or something. If you're going to work in customer service, especially at a manager level, this is completely unacceptable, inappropriate, unprofessional behavior and a very rude way to treat loyal customers. We will never come back here because of his behavior, and we'll find another place to meet and have coffee with our friends. There are plenty of coffee shops where managers don't treat their customers this poorly.

They have added Messenger Coffee drinks and expanded their pastry and small bite savory items with a seperate menu. It was a bit confusing for my first time visit, which door do I enter? Do I order at the kiosk? Do I wait to be seated? Some signs would surely help. After wandering around in both dining rooms and looking at a menu at the kiosk, I was finally approached and was seated in the cafe. The room has a relaxed feel with cozy chairs and tables, a few plants and books and some comforting classical music playing. I was immediately brought a water glass by my stylishly dressed waiter. I started asking a few questions about the menu, when he asked me to follow him to the other room where I could see the variety of baked goods in the glass warming case. I made my selection and was soon brought my ham and cheese Medialuna (small croissant), a Fat Biscuit (baked rolled dough) and my cappuccino. Pricing is a bit high but the service and atmosphere was above average and the vibe was relaxing after I understood the ordering system, and the menu was unique. A great little coffee / brunch option for the Tiffany Springs / Zona Rosa / MCI area.
