I knew the food was good, but as this place is always always always busy, I was always hesitant to try to dine in. When you get there, it seems like it's pure chaos with so many people, but we really didn't wait that long to get seated at a table. Our waiter was super fast & friendly. Amongst the chaos, it was good to have him still answer any questions that we had. The food is consistently great. So many fantastic & tasty options. I normally go for the pancakes, but this time I tried an omelet. While I thought it was great, there is just SO much food that I always end up taking it home & eggs just don't reheat well. Walking in, you are greeted with white walls in that modern country kitchen style. It is welcoming and warm. It feels like someone converted their barn into a dining room and invited all their friends. The menu is a bit too fancy for me honestly. All I want is a ham and cheese omelette with potatoes... not some fancy "bacato" with a lot of condiments associated omelette. I asked the bartender (because this place serves alcohol and I was sitting at the bar) if I could just get a ham and cheese omelette, and she replied with affirmation. The food came out and the omelette was a bit anemic. The eggs weren't very fluffy and the omelette wasn't rolled as a flat egg omelet normally is. Other than that the omelette was fine. The potatoes are the saving grace though. Those seasoned potatoes were delicious. The toast was what you expect for whole grain toast. Nutty, with bits of stuff. Not my preference. read more

Came in to this place eager to try it out as a lot of reviews say it's great but walked out a bit underwhelmed. Service was great, waitress was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Food was just okay, could just be an off day but my husband and I are not eager to come back. His elevated egg sandwich was more bun than actual egg/bacon & he stated his potatoes were undercooked. My bacado omelette was okay but the bacon to cheese to avocado ratio was off, mostly bacon (if you like that, okay). Best part of the meal? Great food! I usually get the power breakfast quinoa bowl, which never disappoints. If you are looking to try a brunch cocktail, the cinnamon toast cereal milk is very good! It's not too sweet and has great flavor! Service is always good. They don't take reservations but you can put your name in on the website to let them know you're coming and to get in line. Amazing! First of all, our server was great! He started us off with coffee as he handed us our menus, right away he went with his recommendations and what's popular lately, superb! The place is very cute and even though it was packed they seated us pretty much right away. Now onto the food, one word Delishh! My vegetarian got a sandwich with soup and couldn't stop raving about it. I ended up with a deconstructed chickichanga as I didn't want it in the tortilla, and they accommodated me :) The Limoncello pancakes were nice and fluffy, one thing I'd just change is adding the lemon custard in between pancakes as well. Busy, but the service I experienced wasn't as slow as what some others have mentioned. The quality of the food here is well worth the wait. The menu is a bit unique, the execution is good, and the flavors are on point. The decor here is nice and similar to what you'd find at nicer brunch spots in the area. Parking is plentiful and prices are fair. One of the nice features of this restaurants is a good selection of items at the juice bar (which isn't too sweet and can include a wellness shot as well) and a variety of cocktails. This is in a additional to a full set of beverages such as coffee, tea, and freshly squeezed juices. The theme of freshness and high quality ingredients is also demonstrated by their entrees. The carrot cake and pecan pancakes are quite hearty with very thin carrot strings, raisins, pecans, and perfectly cooked pancake batter. The syrup comes hot in a glass bottle and doesn't taste too sweet. As advertised, the pancakes are very large and two is plenty for a meal. The biscuits and turkey sausage gravy with eggs were a bit of a surprise because of the very flavorful execution despite its simplicity. The freshly baked biscuits were fluffy and matched well with the turkey sausage gravy which was creamy but not overly salty. The cage free eggs were cooked and seasoned to perfection and served with a nicely seared and seasoned potatoes. The banana foster pancakes french toast is amazing and an item I would love to see as a regular part of the menu. The challah french toast with custard is fluffy and a perfect compliment to the delicious sauce which includes fresh bananas, pecans, cinnamon, and crunchy pecans. A bit on the sweeter side, but well worth the calories. Overall, I'm quite impressed with the high quality dishes they serve here at more than fair prices. They don't have a bar but they do serve up some pretty tasty cocktails nonetheless (You just can't get too creative or make substitutions). Stopped in here after a morning of shopping and I am so happy I did. We had a wonderful plate of bacon with coffee and my wife enjoyed a cup of Purple Haze that has a wonderful Lemon, cane sugar, butterfly pea flower tea and a hint of lavender. As we had a beginning of our meal we enjoyed the modern layout of the restaurant. Visited here on an early Saturday morning at about 745 right towards the opening or easing of restrictions of Covid.This was our first visit and from my understanding this place is fairly new as the outside still has a grand opening sign hanging. Parking here is ample as it is located in a strip mall but it's on stand-alone building. The landscaping this early in the game still looks fresh clean and neat. The facilities and the building itself and decor are very modern farm style which is all the trend and hype currently. Everything is super cute and clean which I thoroughly appreciate it it. We sat at the bar area and were the first people seated there because everyone also seated a tables. The service was incredibly super friendly and very helpful because I had questions as this was our first time visiting this restaurant anywhere and our waitress Leah was awesome. The great service already starts at the front door as someone is opening the door and holding The door as well as guiding you to a table or the bar in our case. The food was made very quickly very fresh and arrived hot. In addition the homemade preserves on the trifecta were served warm as was the maple syrup which is quite impressive. I asked for water and impressively enough I did not get a glass of water I got a glass of water with a carafe that even without ice happen to be super cold which is how I prefer it so I did not have to ask for ice. The coffee came in a carafe as well and was super black and strong which I love. Pricing is fair considering it is located in Killdeer serving that community Lincolnshire Lake Zürich as well which are pretty high and communities. I have to come back!!!! read more

From its humble California beginnings in 1983, this farm-to-table concept has been expanding exponentially and now they're opening restaurants in the greater Chicago area. We were invited to dine in their new Kildeer restaurant as pre-opening VIPs the weekend before it opened to the public. The freestanding building has been extensively refurbished; you'd never guess that the previous occupant was a Chili's. The bright, airy décor is casual and contemporary with a muted color palette and a rural flavor. There are two spacious dining rooms, one whose windows open wide to provide natural ventilation; a bar, and a prominent carryout counter. The menu is fun to explore. It includes classic breakfast/brunch/lunch items and innovative dishes that I haven't seen on menus elsewhere. My beverage was Morning Meditation, a juice blend containing orange, lemon, turmeric, organic ginger, agave nectar, and beet juice (for color). Neither overly sweet nor tangy, it was smooth and satisfying (a version made with vodka is also available). My entrée was "The Elevated Egg Sandwich," described in the menu as "An over-easy cage-free egg with bacon, gruyere cheese, fresh smashed avocado, mayo and lemon dressed arugula on a brioche bun." Wow. The flavors melded nicely and the sandwich was not weighty on the gut like most other breakfast sandwiches. The accompanying side of diced potatoes griddled with caramelized onions and seasoning was equally enjoyable. My Missus and her sis had "The Traditional Breakfast" - eggs, bacon, potatoes, and whole grain artisan toast. These were attractively plated and first rate. We split sides of "Million Dollar Bacon" (thick, smoky and sweet with a subtle peppery kick) and a jumbo blueberry muffin which was delectably moist. Our server placed a full thermal carafe of excellent coffee sourced from Huila, Columbia, on the table. The staff had spent a week training prior to this 'soft' opening, and we did not encounter so much as one hitch. The First Watch chain has received well-deserved accolades from several consumer and restaurant industry publications, and dining at one of their restaurants for the first time was an amazing experience. read more

My wife and I stopped here for breakfast. Our first time here. It was Saturday around 1pm. Was just a 5 minute wait. Bar was open though, so we just went there. Service was amazing! Maricela served us and was amazing! Very impressed with the food and drink options. My wife doesn't eat beef or pork. She was thrilled to see biscuits and gravy with turkey instead of pork. She ordered that as a meal with scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes. All was very tasty! I ordered 3 items, 2 off their sides menu: biscuits & gravy, & pork sausage. And an order of French toast. We came in around 12:50; all tables full. Pretty busy evidently. We got seated in 5ish minutes and ordered within 10. We have been here for around 30 minutes now and have been served and ate. You don't have to be a superhero Watchman to receive super service at First Watch in Kildeer, IL! We arrived Saturday morning around 11:30 AM and were seated immediately. They gave us our menus and asked us if we wanted something to drink. Once we ordered, they served us our drinks right away. We ordered the 1/2 sandwich, 1/2 soup or salad specials. I ordered a Ham & Gruyère sandwich with a Sweet Honey Pecan Salad. My sandwich was hot and delicious with a toasty bread, savory ham and a melty Gruyère cheese. My salad was the perfect complement of greens mixed in with sweet carrots and warm crunchy pecans with a sweet dressing. Just sumptuous! This place made me so excited when it opened! However, if you have any dietary restrictions I CANNOT recommend this place. Gluten-sensitive people I know have had bad reactions despite telling staff, and I've found pieces of bacon in dishes where we asked for no bacon. Has made me super paranoid when going here. The massive turnover since this place opened is also not giving me good vibes... It sucks, because I overall love the dishes and juices and interior design... but I just don't think I can keep coming here. read more

I don't recommend this item from the menu. The mixture of flavors did not impress me and was confused if this was even breakfast or dinner... The service was really good and the waitress was super friendly. That's the only reason why I even gave any stars to this review. Came here on a Sunday morning, it is definitely the place to be... we put our name on the waitlist through their website. Something went wrong because when we got there we had the confirmation but they didn't have anything on their end. The host was considerate and put us where we would have been on the waitlist. We ended up waiting an extra 30 min. I'm not sure if it's an improvement or not because yall obviously don't flavor your food very well for a reason and yall definitely have a core group of regulars that come in probably because of the freshness of the ingredients. I had the breakfast tacos today and where I could taste how fresh everything was there was just absolutely no flavor. There's a certain age group that likes that kind of cooking. I would offer some kind of sauce on the side to kinda give these tacos more life. I was very dissatisfied with the breakfast this morning. Didn't finish the tacos. They are good sized drink for the price. Not too sweet and you could taste the apple, cucumber, lemon. The morning meditation was also good. If you like beets, you can definitely taste it. Can't go wrong with either of these juices. Butternut squash bisque and half sandwich - the market veggie. My friend really liked the sandwich and said it had really good flavor. The soup was also delicious - a little on the sweeter side though. Smoked salmon Frittata with side of dressed greens. This was also very tasty. You could totally taste the smoked salmon and it added a great flavor to the eggs. It comes with a ciabatta toast but I was able to substitute it with a gluten free toast.
