Cold food, slow service mediocre product. I don't think I've been this disappointed at breakfast in two decades.

This was my first time at this location. I've been to a couple of other First Watch locations and like the ambiance and the food has always been palate pleasing. I ordered the superfood kale salad which didn't have the maple oven roasted carrots, cranberries or dressing as described on the menu. It was underwhelming to say the least. My server Elizabeth discussed it with the kitchen and quickly brought dressing but informed me they didn't have the cranberries and the carrots were in the oven. I've been to this new location 6 times already and it's always been consistent with the food quality and service. But today was honestly the best experience we've had in ANY RESTAURANT in a long time. The service by Maria was just awesome. She was genuine, polite, and going above and beyond for us. From the recommendations, bringing us the sauce and million dollar bacon cut up on the side for the potatoes after she had recommended them but my brother didn't listen. I usually avoid chains but decided to give it a chance. Eggs great, bacon cold, sausage cold, and potatoes cold. Chains usually, for speed, pre prepare sides and keep warm, unfortunately not warm enough. Pancakes were good since prepare to order. Place was super clean and service was good. 11.11.25 I asked for the patio because the place was full and the hostess assured me the patio was available. Still had to wait over 15 minutes to be seated. The table was supposed to be clean but it still had spilled syrup. I ended up cleaning it myself. I was offered coffee but no cups were available for me to serve myself or my wife. The cup with creamers was empty so I went to the bar and got some. No utensils were provided until I asked for them. Service was not what I'm accustomed from this establishment. Food was great , service was mediocre, mostly since it was 8am on a Sunday and it took us a minute to order since the menu is so large we couldn't decide. There was no line which was great as it was a Sunday morning so it was pretty full already . The only think I could comment on was the menu advertising there alcoholic drinks which I was excited to try and the waiter immediately tells us "we don't have our liquor license yet , so we can't serve alcohol " and that they've been open 3 months and still don't have it. It was my very first time visiting this restaurant with a 7 member party. It was my first and last time. To me, my Coffee drink is very important: I requested regular sugar to employees and I was told that restaurant does not serve regular sugar, so they brought me artificial sweeteners, cane sugar but not the sugar I wanted. So I ended up drinking and paying for a coffee that I disliked. I also requested white toast with my Traditional Breakfast Dish and the restaurant does not serve white toast... only sour or wheat toast but not white toast. What is up with this ? It can not be about healthy eating because the restaurant offers bacon, pork sausages. I paid a quite high bill for something I did not enjoy completely.. hence my dissatisfaction. read more

My husband and I were there last Monday and our biggest and only complaint was about the service. We were seated and it was close to 20 minutes before a server came to our table. I think the service at The Pinecrest / Palmetto Bay is still disorganized. The food was good...... the waitstaff friendly, etc. But the wait time a bit much. read more

Another great breakfast lunch at the Kendall location. Previous review was for the Pinecrest location. Both have excellent service, food, atmosphere. The Kendall location is larger then the Pinecrest location and a larger parking lot. Had a delicious carne asada hash loaded with carne asada, chorizo, onions, pepper, tomatoes, avocado, tortillas, potatoes, bacon. Went on a week day which i s better than going on a weekend, no wait, got seated right away. Went shopping at Sprouts after brunching which is in the same plaza, lol. read more

This First Watch is clean and modern. The avocado toast was delicious and had a nice limey flavor. The eggs were excellent as well. The only downside was the wait for the food, but it was worth it. Our waitress was also very friendly. read more

I hate to give one star but I believe the Manager should be aware of the kitchen quality. The eggs Benedict was not good and cold. The farm house skillet was not good, rotten avocado, a tiny piece of cheese and cold, the waitress was informed but did not pay too much attention. I went with my family to celebrate a birthday and made the reservation for 5 people online. The app said we had a 10 minutes wait. We checked in with one of the hosts and after almost 20 minutes waiting I asked and was told I was next. Two groups of people were sat before us( and we heard they didn't had a reservation) we asked the host again and said they were very busy and we were next . After patiently waiting I asked again and reminded the host I had an elderly person in the group and she said again dismissing me you are next. I asked to speak to the manager and she was rude and dismissive . I reminded her I made an online reservation and had been waiting for 45 minutes now and she lowered her tone and told me to wait for a few more minutes to have a table ready. The total wait time was 50 minutes. The manager and host were very incompetent and need to improve their customer service and work on their process to received and checked out customers ... it is a mess . read more

Arrived for the first time and of course there was a long line, due to the popularity of the restaurant. This is a new location so I skipped the line to ask the hostess how long the wait would be. First of all she was very rude when I asked how long the wait would be. She responded to my question by stating the obvious, "there are a lot of people here", I asked how long and she couldn't even give me an estimate. Didn't smile wasn't kind, just rude and looked at me like I was bothering her. This place has good food, but horrible customer service right off the bat. Won't be going back. Later on I found out they have an application with a virtual line for you to check in. It would've been nice if she would've given me that information when I spoke to her but again she was so rude. read more

The service was great and we were seated promptly. The ambience was nice and the restaurant was super clean and really nicely decorated. I dropped two stars because of the food my pancakes were super bland and flavorless and my husband ordered the lavender French toast and it was also very bland and flavorless. My husband had his ice coffee made twice and it was not good he ended up not drinking it. It was really disappointing as I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant. The presentation of the food was nice and the eggs and bacon were good. Maybe I'll give it another try in the future if they change the recipe to their pancakes and French toast. read more

Excellent for breakfast and lunch if you're not a coffee drinker. Unfortunately, the coffee at all locations I have tried in Florida is a light roast, not even medium. I recommended the place to a friend who gets together with 8-9 family members every Sunday and warned her about the coffee. The long wait time already had all the kids starving, and then when we put in our order we waited at the table for food which took 45min. I also had to ask for pancake syrup for pancakes, and our server did not even bother to bring silverware until we asked because I guess she thought we should eat with our hands. Waited for nearly 55 minutes after we were "next in line". I assume it's cause we had 5 people and they prioritize 2 tops but they sat 3 parties who arrived after us who had 5-8 people. One of the parties guilt tripped the host by saying that their child had autism. They got sat after 25 minutes of waiting. Overall it's been a terrible experience. I've worked in restaurants for many years and have never seen this level of disrespect and disregard for paying guests. The host was the main problem, I didn't catch her name but she was a bigger woman, with died "blonde " streaks and visible roots. She either is new and hasn't been trained or is just terrible at her job. The manager was the lady with red hair and a neck tattoo. She didn't even let us speak when we brought up issue to her and overall had little patience with the situation. She asked 3 times if we were the "Raquel " party, something we told her AT THE START. she needs to train her staff better or quit the job. Terrible experience and won't be coming back. read more

This was my first time here. I thought the food was great. And everyone in our party loved their food. The service was also great. This place has a nice cool vibe. There is a wait since it's very popular. The only reason I did not give it five stars was because their website, and the menu at the restaurant, includes alcoholic beverages. I was there to celebrate my birthday and was highly anticipating a mimosa. I specifically checked the website first to make sure that they offer mimosas. However, when we got there, they said they do not serve alcoholic beverages because they do not have their license yet. Definitely false advertising because the website is by location and clearly they could have mentioned that there is no alcoholic beverages at this time. I will try this place again, but not before calling to see if they have mimosas. If you're looking for an adult beverage, I would suggest you check first especially before investing in the long wait. read more
