This place is like my go to when I can't determine what I want to eat. The variety of healthy yet still tasty options, quick service, large portions and decent pricing makes it a no brainer. Ask for Bryan if you want smooth service with a smile. He also has great recommendations. I typically sit inside because the heat in Miami can be a lot but you have the option to sit indoors or outside. The outside views are not the greatest.

On our last day of vacation, we decided to stop by First Watch for breakfast. We've visited their locations in New Jersey and South Carolina before, but this was our first time at this specific spot. Knowing they tend to stay busy, we put ourselves on the digital waitlist before arriving; although the estimated wait was 20 minutes, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated within five minutes of getting there. The restaurant has a bright, modern, and inviting atmosphere that makes it a perfect place for a relaxed family meal. We started by ordering the Million Dollar Bacon for the table, which was a hit as always. For our main meals, I had the Chimichurri Steak Hash, my wife went with the Farmhouse Hash, my sister-in-law chose the Elevated Egg Sandwich, and my father-in-law ordered the Traditional Breakfast. Everything tasted great and maintained the high standard we expect from this brand. My father-in-law especially enjoyed his meal--he devoured the entire plate and looked like he could have gone back for seconds! It was a perfect way to wrap up our trip.

Service here has always been consistent! I love that during your birthday if you're part of the email newsletter you get a free entrees with the purchase of another. Like every year I get the lemon ricotta pancakes! Always fresh & always lemony!!!! The staff is friendly - we aren't weekly regulars but they always remember us! Until the next adventure!

Pair that with a cold glass of fresh orange juice that hits just right, and you're off to a solid start. I came in for the Million Dollar Bacon--because, let's be honest, how could you not? Perfectly sweet, smoky, and worth the hype. Rounded it out with the Eggs Benedict (potatoes on the side, because why not live a little), and everything came out hot, fresh, and on point. The service matched the food--friendly, attentive, and smooth from start to finish. You can tell the team here actually cares about getting things right. Ambiance is First Watch. It's like a kitchen table--life itself. If you're in Miami Gardens and need a proper breakfast or brunch spot, this location of First Watch deserves the stop.

I had been to First Watch in Fort Myers so I was very excited to try a location closer to where I live. As always it did not disappoint! It was my friend's first time going to First Watch and they were all very impressed and enjoyed their dishes! Lemon ricotta pancake and million dollar bacon

These lemon ricotta pancakes are worth talking about! So fluffy and huge portions. The lemon curd topping that they put on the pancake was a nice blend of citrus and sweet and I would recommend to anyone. Pro-tip, there is always a wait so use the Get In Line option online or in their app.

One of my all-time fave breakfast/brunch spots. Came here earlier today with a friend and they did not disappoint! Food: 10/10 Everything was so tasty and they came out fresh and hot. I had the smoked salmon frittata and the new summer strawberry tres leches french toast! That french toast is to die for. You should definitely try it. Service: 10/10 Our server was amazing. Super quick, efficient, attentive and even recommended food we should try. Glad to say he was right about the food! He checked on us multiple times throughout the experience and I loved it. Drinks: 9/10 I tried the spiked watermelon wake up. It was part of their summer menu. Soooo good. They make all of their juices fresh with premium fruit everyday. Decor & Ambiance: 7/10 It's your typical cafe/brunch spot. The artwork they have is pretty cute and colorful. However, they don't have decor like a moody restaurant or over the top aesthetic restaurant would, and that's ok! It's still warm, cozy, inviting and super clean. Overall, I love First Watch and I've been coming here for a few years now. They always exceed expectations and I love their food. Definitely coming back soon.

I enjoyed their chicken avocado salad. You can pick any of their salad half sized if you also get their soup. Soup of the day was vegetable soup. It was chunky and flavorful. Last time, I went for the tomato soup but it was too thick to my liking. The roast beef sandwich was decent, though! My kid couldn't finish his roast beef and havarti sandwich, but wanted pancake instead. That fluffy item appeared in pretty shorter time than expected and the kid finished that without stress. The sun dried/roasted tomatoes kept dripping out of the sandwich -- I took a bite of one of them, no shame lol. My sis and mom shared a plated of potatoes and some kind of egg omelet. This is my mom and sister's fave location. The parking lot is kind of confusing, but you can park with ease. It's also next to the Starbucks and in the shopping plaza shared with Publix and TJ Maxx. The atmosphere of this place was as expected -- not quiet and definitely crowded. You can enjoy some cocktails here but it's also very family family. John took care of us. The service was fast and pleasant.

Best brunch I've ever had. I usually stay away from breakfast places because I'm really picky about my eggs and they usually come out greasy. Not here though! I ordered the Brooklyn breakfast sandwich which came with 2 eggs on top of a pile of pastrami, arugula, pickled red onion on a beautiful artisan roll. Service was top notch and all the servers were full of excitement. Absolutely great service with awesome recommendations. The place was electric and there was a great mix of people. The place was busy which always makes me happy because that means the food is coming out hot and fresh. Place was clean inside and outside. I was seated right away which I couldn't believe because it was so packed. Perfect place for the perfect meal!

I love this place. You go inside and the ambiance makes you feel like you are visiting some cute European cafe. The service is great, greeted with a smile and asked several times if you are okay and do you need anything. Now the food, its all made from scratch and as a foodie I know. The bacon is butchered cut quality, pancakes are unique such as their carrot pancakes, lemon ricotta pancakes, delicious. It's a great place to sit and talk and just feel relaxed. read more

This place is so packed! I honestly thought I was going to have to wait forever but thankfully they had a bar section that was first come, first serve. Even though it was hectic my waiter, Cristina, was super nice. She was friendly, engaging, and patience. Some customer got mad at her but she handled it so well that she made me lover her and the experience more. She also didn't rush me, which I love the most because I was on my computer doing work. This is a great breakfast chain which is popping up all o e down here recently. The food is fresh and yummy and really good for what u are paying. The only drawback is that as friendly as the Staff usually is at the locations I have visited north miami, Hollywood and North Fort Lauderdale, they usually are understaffed creating longer than necessary waits all around. If u dont mind waiting for the food and not super hungry or ur not in a rush then definately a solid breakfast joint. read more

I've always enjoyed my breakfasts here. Everything is fresh and there is always something new and intriguing on the daily special board. It is a little pricey for breakfast but you definitely get what you pay for in terms of quality. It can get very busy during peak hours and during these times service and wait times for the food slows down. But everyone is always friendly and it is worth the wait, especially up here in North Miami Beach where breakfast options are few and far between. read more

(When this establishment first popped up by my house, I initially thought they sold sunglasses or something because of the name. Now I know it's more of the "first watch" for early birds, especially when protecting The Wall from whitewalkers.) This place is astounding, not just on the great service, but especially when discovering that healthy foods can taste even better than the junk I allowed my body to digest. Believe me when I tell you that they have a variety of options for breakfast / brunch... from those wanting a real breakfast with sausage and eggs to those who want something much lighter and still as filling. The prices aren't bad at all. (Unless you're a cheapo like my dad who thinks a deal is $1 for a heart-attack-on-a-bun.) Oh and you can't forget about the fresh juice they have. It's delicious and good for your body! Who would've known kale would taste great as a drink? OVERALL... I LEGIT FELT HEALTHIER AFTER EATING HERE. No joke! read more

People typically focus only on food but it has a lot to do with how the staff makes the clients feel. What a drastic change from the other time we visited. The negative energy from the employees ruined anyone's appetite. Busboy (ladies) all had a painful depressing expression. To the point of making are meal uncomfortable. Waitress didn't even introduce herself. It is the responsibility of management to create a positive place for its team. As for the food the lemon pancakes were very dry flavorless. Finally please bring back the background music maybe it will help. This is the second time I have gone to a First Watch and it's gone from a 5 star to a 2. Corporate needs to hone in on a good product not only a quick growth. read more

When we first arrived there was a 20 min wait. You can tell the the front of house staff was completely overwhelmed- running around like there heads were cut off. No one was communicating. We sat down- 5 mins later someone comes and asks us for our drink order- she was very sweet. I believe her name was Cristina. The glasses came out and they were filthy and greasy. She brought me to-go cups as a cleaner more sanitary option. When our food arrived- I had a hair in my BLT. She was nothing but accommodating. The food here is good but you can tell by not only our experience but observing those around that this place is poorly managed and the kitchen is not very clean nor thorough. read more

This place gives you all the vibes, fresh, chic, friendly, social, chill, upbeat. All of the staff that were working were extremely welcoming, calm, and kind. This doesn't happen often, especially at a breakfast place during prime hours. The hosts was friendly as soon as we walked in & gave us a clear idea on when we'd be seated. With a packed place we were seated within 10 minutes. The host ended up being our server. We ordered the favorites off the menu, and they did not disappoint. Skillets, salmon, pancakes, omelets, toast, potatoes, french toast, coffee- everything was delightful! John from SkyLake's location was the definition of a perfect server. Within our party of 7, 3 of us have served and we were blown away with his friendly, timely service. "I wish we could just take him to every restaurant we went to". John truly made us feel welcomed, remembered our names & genuinely cared about our experience at First Watch. If we weren't from out our town, we'd definitely be back & if were ever back- we know where we're brunching. read more

I specifically asked the waitress to omit green chilies from my omelet. I waited a half hour to receive my order and when it came, it was totally filled with green chilies. The waitress came by to see if I needed anything and I told her that my brunch w was served with the green chilies. She asked if I wanted to have them remake my omelet and I said that I waited a half hour and did not want to wait another half hour. She merely said "ok" and happily walked away. This restaurant is evidently not geared to individuals who dine out often. read more

The parking is a little crazy and my biscuits and gravy were a little cold when they came out but overall amazing! Definitely will return. Horrible experience. We waited for over an hour for our food and it was not even good. I had to get the manager and send it back to the kitchen. The server seemed lost the whole time and was not attentive at all. Once they brought out another meal there was an unknown piece of meat in my side of potatoes and could no longer eat them. I've eaten at other locations before and had really good service and food but this location is horrible. Beware. read more

Went there for brunch for the first time and the waitress was awesome the food was amazing!!!! We were 6 people and every plate looked so good my mouth was watering. The food was perfect for vegetarians because of the healthy options. I honestly can't wait to go again had the quinoa chicken pesto power bowl OMG so so good!!!! I had a red eye flight into Fort Lauderdale airport last month. By the time I got my rental car and drove to this place, my appetite for caffeine and food had awakened. The service was great! And I have no complains about my breakfast. They set an entire coffee pitcher on my table, and since I was sleep deprived from my flight, I enjoyed every last sip. They do play music which was on the border of getting too loud. Coffee was pricy but all coffee is now. The food was also on the high end. This would be a major factor on whether to come back. I don't recall anything unique on the menu aside from the pita. The menu appears to change seasonally though.

The menu is a melange of Russian, Turkish, Uzbek, and generically Mediterranean offerings. To start, we had the Mediterranean-leaning "combo platter" with baba ghanoush, hummus, and tzatziki ($16) and the Russian-leaning herring with potatoes ($15; "tomato, cucumber, carrot, mushroom, cabbage, kimchi"). These were so-so. The baba ghanoush and hummus were both extremely smooth, almost whipped in consistency, almost unpleasantly salty. (We love salt and don't shy away from it at all -- but this was excessive.) I personally love a few chunks of eggplant in my baba ghanoush (like a beautiful Jordanian version I had earlier in the day from a stand in Aventura Mall) and a lot more tahini in my hummus, but of course these are stylistic differences / preferences. Tzatziki was very garlicky. The combo came with sliced cucumbers and a bit of pita -- but not anywhere near enough for our family. We did end up eating the surfeit of spreads with our main courses, so all ended well. Herring with potatoes was nothing like the menu description. Instead, it came with, yes, just pickled herring and roasted potatoes (and a huge, huge mound of thinly sliced raw onion, a few sprigs of parsley, a sprinkle of dill, a sliver of lemon). The baby potatoes were nicely roasted, but the pickled herring was quite mediocre, a touch mushy, and almost certainly not prepared in-house. The only distinctively Uzbek dish we tried was the Fried Lagman ($19; "stir-fried hand-pulled noodles in a mix of beef and vegetables, served with eggs"). I can't speak to its authenticity, but it was made with well-textured noodles topped by tender, well seasoned beef, bell peppers, grape tomatoes, and very thinly slivered omelette. The progeny who ordered it enjoyed it very much. Beef shawarma ($19; "cooked on a vertical grill, served in pita bread with tomato, cucumber, lettuce, yogurt sauce, and spices, with French fries on the side") was beautifully presented, a generous portion of thickly-sliced meat wrapped in a very thin layer of flatbread (lavash and not pita?) with a crisscross grill pattern. The Beef Kebab ($24; served with french fries and tomato sauce) was moist and tender, well seasoned. I think the slightly bland tomato sauce was meant for dipping, but the beef didn't need any accoutrements. Fries were fair, either undersalted or not salted at all. I wish we'd held on to the ketchup that had been served with the fries that came with the shawarma. The grilled branzino ($38) was nicely prepared, a medium-sized (about 1 lb) fish beautifully grilled and drizzled with reduced balsamic, served with salad, rice and a side of lemon. The skin was crisp, the fish fresh. Note that food is brought out as it's prepared and some mains may come more quickly than others. We didn't have a huge problem with this as our manners free family is under orders to eat food when it arrives, while it's hot, rather than to wait until everyone's food arrives. Also, we generously poach from one another's plates, and the last one to get her food hadn't been all that hungry for dinner to begin with. The eat-it-as-it-arrives policy turned out to be a good one since the lag time between arrival of the first main and arrival of the last was about 40 minutes. The first few to receive their meals would've had to eat their food stone cold. Sim Sim doesn't serve alcohol, but does have a beautiful tea service and hookah, and allows diners to BYOB without corkage. (All the Russian diners around us seem to have gone the BYOB route and ordered a hookah, which we also didn't see advertised in house.) It's in a strip mall as most restaurants are in this part of Florida, but has pleasant-enough outdoor and indoor seating areas. The outdoor seating is beach style. Think: white plastic chairs and tables. There was a single low wooden Uzbek style dining table on a platform outdoors and perhaps one indoors as well, IIRC. Our wait staff was very pleasant. One server gently pushed salad and Uzbek bread on us, which we declined, but sort of wish we hadn't after watching nearby diners who were probably of Uzbek descent. We're dining with vegetarians on our remaining days in the area, who wouldn't have enough protein options here, but do wish we had time for a return visit. Bookmarked for our next trip.

I got the avocado toast and an omelet and loved both; the avocado was fresh and seasoned with lemon and the eggs were great! However, the service was terrible. Food took forever, and I had to keep asking my waitress for water, coffee, and the check, over and over again. Also, their iced coffee is a disappointment; it's made with a syrup instead of real coffee and they bring it to you with the milk inside already, which was a problem since I am dairy free. If you want coffee, you're safer just asking for a cup of black, hot coffee. read more
