This is The First Watch closes to my home. Normally the food and service are great. However, today I used the App to get in line and was told to arrive at 11:44am. I arrived about 10 minutes before that time and checked in. After checking in I was told they were running behind and it would be another 15 minutes. After waiting 15 minutes, I went back inside and was told I had another 3 party's ahead of me. Why have a check system for wait times that is an hour off the real wait time? Stopped at this location before our flight back to Cali. We were thinking this might not be the place, but we were pleasantly surprised! Everything was delicious. I got the 'Bacado' omelette that came with greens & toast. I didn't want the greens but when I tried them.....AMAZING!!!! I could've ate more. My omelette was delicious! The perfect amount of bacon and avocado. The coffee was delicious as well. Love that they leave the pot at the table. The waffles were also amazing! All the way down to their fresh potatoes. We were quoted 75 min, actual wait time was 1hr 55min. Normally I wouldn't wait so long but it's Mother's Day and knew everywhere would be a long wait. We are from CA and we were visiting Disney for 5 days. This is the most delicious meal we ate in this trip. My Spot ! Love this place. The bread has me HOOKED! The service is always pleasant. It's a clean eat (literally) you eat an entire omelet and there isn't grease glossing the bottom of your plate afterward. I always feel full but never stuffed. The food is very healthy and delicious. Plenty of options! This is an excellent addition to Leevista promenade. Gets a little busy but they make it work. The "2 For you" is my fave. Half a sandwich half soup or salad for like $7-8. I get the Gruyere Ham Melt (bread is addictive) and avocado chop salad. SOOOOOO GOOOOD! Very filling and satisfying to start your day and carry you over til lunch. Honestly the worst first watch I've ever been to. Ordered food said it was going to be ready in 20 mins... waited an hour and a half to get my food and it was burnt. So I had to wait another 20 mins for my food. When ask to speak to the manager, I was told that there was nothing he could do. Either take the food or not. But they was understaff and I should be understanding. There was three tables in there eating. A 3 top, a 5 top and a one top. Well if they are so under staff why are you just sitting in the corner in your phone laughing at it and just enjoying life lol. First Watch is a popular chain restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. I went for "brunch" with my fiance and admittedly I would give it 3.5 stars. However no half stars are given on Yelp so 3 stars it is I guess. On to my breakdown: Decor: It's your standard "Fixer Upper" rustic family style. I was less than impressed with the decor. The first thing I noticed was all the colors. It looks like they took every single neutral color they could find and put it in the place. The look lacks flow and symmetry. The textures are off. The cute little signs and art is just wrong. Even the half bench half chair tables have too much going on. It's sort of hodge podge and not in a good way. There is an open concept layout to the entire restaurant which the decor lacks in creating an intimate feel. It is more warehouse but completely misses the mark for a complete rustic chic look. Might I suggest contacting Mrs. Gaines for a consult. I'm sure the normal diner wouldn't care or notice any of these things, but for me it was off putting and is one of the factors that separates the good from the great. Food: The food was pretty basic. Not Denny's and IHOP basic just what is now the new American style of breakfast. Avocado toast, waffles, omelettes, nothing really revolutionary going on with the menu. Nothing to write home about. I had the carrot cake pancake and my fiance had one of the skillets. The pancake was incredibly sweet. While I know typical carrot cake does tend to be sweet I was hoping for a more balanced flavors between sweet and savory. It almost made me not want to add syrup to the pancake in fear of cavities forming in some sort of spontaneous combustion. The pancake was cooked well.; not too fluffy or thin. I asked for scrambled and bacon on the side and both were delicious. My fiance did enjoy is skillet but also commented that it was pretty standard and could be ordered almost most anywhere for a lower price and the same quality. Overall my meal was not something I would recommend or return to try again. Service: Our server was very busy. We waited around 20 minutes to be seated so the entire restaurant was full during the entire time of our meal (12-1pm). Because of this we didn't see our server many times and only had minimal contact with him. When we were finished with our meals we had to look around to find them and receive our check, I don't necessarily blame the server or that because it appeared that everyone was sort of running around. Overall First Watch for me was not a memorable experience. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there and would not return. I think it's location is perfect considering with all the airport traffic hat flies by they will get plenty of business. A couple walked in and said they didn't have time to wait, the hostess offered up the tall table saying it's open seating and they sat right down. At this point we asked about what was going on, the lady behind the register (Amal is her name) could not have been nicer in explaining the precheck in through the app and the open seating at the high table. She said she would tell the manger who was right behind her. She proceeded to tell him and he never even looked in our direction. Again, the young lady behind the register apologized and spoke to the hostess and got us a seat. I understand it's busy and there is a wait, and that things can slip through the cracks. But for something to be brought to a manager and him not acknowledge it is not good customer service. Tables are also left uncleaned for a very long time, which prevents people from sitting down right away. Amal, at the register is the only reason I gave this place 2 stars. read more

Our waitress, without asking, put a pot of coffee on our table and said "here's a fresh pot of coffee for you. I'll be back" and walks off. So, we're thinking that they give free coffee here since they have coffee for people waiting to be seated. I mean, most waiters just give water first and ask what you want to drink. Waitress comes back to take our food order. Our food arrives and I ask the food runner if we can please have some water. Our waitress comes back with our check. I just think it's weird to put a pot of coffee on the table instead of water, and we have to specifically ask for water. Our food was good. Got the chickichanga and the Chile chorizo omelette. They had lots of variety for food. Well, we were charged for the coffee, which we never even asked for. I enjoyed my meal, everything was cooked and served to my liking. The waiter was very patient and nice, thus making our experience even more pleasurable. This was my first restaurant experience since Covid 19 and I was very impressed with the safety and sanitation measures put in place. The server, Johan, managed the perfect balance between attentiveness and personal space. I could see into kitchen and could see that the staff observed standards and were very careful in food prep. And the food...YUM. I tried the market veggie sandwich with a chopped salad that was delicious. My husband had lemon ricotta pancakes that were AMAZING.
