This diner is located in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking available. I stopped for breakfast. I was greeted right away and told I could seat anywhere. I was surprised to see the space is much bigger than it looks from the outside. It's spacious and bright. Staff is very nice and polite. I was overwhelmed with a strong scent of maybe cleaning supplies products. It's nice to see a clean space but it's not enjoyable when the smell is too strong while eating. I hate giving three stars because it implies it is not good, but it is. It's a Diner, with Diner food. I honestly did not see any difference between the food in the previous diner and this new iteration except for the price, it's more expensive. The omelet I got was good, the portions normal. I was not blown away. Not very Gluten Free friendly so communicate clearly if you need to avoid it. The reason for the three stars and not four is that the service was downright ornery. Our server didn't seem to really want to be there. Not my jam, I am a good tipper regardless, but she didn't deserve it. On the flip side it's much needed renovation is great! The place is bright and new. Very nice. I'll update my review once I go again. Hopefully it will earn that fourth star! read more

This is my favorite place to go for breakfast on the weekends! The coffee is great and the food is soooo good! I have never had a bad meal here. The service is always so friendly and it just a very comfortable no frills diner where you can have a great breakfast or lunch. It gets really busy around 900 am but I highly suggest checking it out if you are in the area! read more

This was our family's first time visiting. We stopped by on Mother's Day at 1 PM and were seated immediately. Once we placed our orders, it was quite a wait, though -- 40 minutes later for our food to arrive. Their dining room staff were bustling (lots of expediting orders, refilling drinks, and clearing tables), so it was understandable. Once delivered, our orders were hot and freshly made. We could tell they serve great quality bacon and breads. Their Cinnamon French Toast was the standout. We will definitely return! read more

Johnny's Diner is a great diner for comfort food. I ordered Strawberry Pancakes with Bacon. It was just perfect. The pancakes were fluffy. The strawberries were delicious. The bacon was crisp. The service was friendly & excellent. I cannot think of anyway my breakfast could be improved. read more

Finally made to Johnny's Dinner this past week. The place went through much needed renovations, it is cleaner and brighter. The food is pretty much the same... Diner menu, nothing really special, but what is to be expected from a place like this. The overall experience left much to be desired, it is now a seat yourself place, unless of course there is a small crowd waiting to be seated. The waitlist is dysfunctional to say the least, you have to rely on the politeness of others who will recognize that you were there first, although as with any human interaction, there is no shortage of jerks who think that rules don't apply to them and take advantage of the chaos to push themselves to the front of the line. We had to wait quite a while to pay, as you have to pay the cashier but she is also acting as a server and a hostess, so it is nearly impossible to get their attention when its busy. All these issues are easily resolved with some proper management and some basic customer service training. We certainly expect the kinks to be worked out over time and the whole check in and check out system to be managed properly. Let's see what the future holds here ... read more

"Stopped by Johnny's Diner in Orlando and really enjoyed it! I had the grilled cheese and my husband got eggs with hashbrowns. Everything tasted delicious and had that classic comforting diner feel. My only small complaint is that I wish the grilled cheese was a little bigger, but honestly the prices were so affordable that it still felt worth it. New location that is consistent with the greatness of the other locations I've been to. Probably my favorite Biscuits and Gravy anywhere. Be sure to take a piece of their pie or cake with you for a great snack later in the day. Love this chain, hope they keep opening more because my closest one is still over 25 minutes away. They redid the inside and it looks really fresh and open with plenty of seating although many of the tables needed to be bussed when we arrived. We seated ourselves and we're greeted quickly with menus. Our drink order arrived and we placed our food order. After a short wait the food arrived. The fries were great, hot and crispy with a little seasoning. The sandwiches were OK. Nothing great but not bad. I liked that they came with Cole slaw and a pickle and the price is very reasonable but the bread was a little soggy on both sandwiches and the lettuce and tomato were not really very crispy. I think I would give this place another try but maybe order something other than a sandwich. They givebyou the check at the table but its not totaled so if you are paying cash (3.5% extra if.you use a credit card) you have to go to the register, pay, then go back and tip, a little awkward in my opinion. Well, I'll just get right to it. We moved back to town. I will revisit, but the first visit was not that great. One coffee refill. Hashbrowns weren't crispy. Corn beef hash wasn't crispy on the outside. They should both be crispy on the outside tender on the inside. Someone at the cashier's desk when they heard my story, asked me what I thought of them compared to daybreak diner, and whatever it used to be. I was hesitant. When I see companies using GFS I automatically go oh brother. So I told her well I wasn't fond of the syrup in the packages. I can get that at McDonald's. Her response as well they've been doing that for 30 years. They're never gonna change that. Next response as far as the things not being crispy just ask for extra crispy next time people like it soft here. And I didn't even bring up the coffee cause if you're a breakfast place and you don't bug the hell out of people for refills you're not doing a very good job. I don't think it's my job to flag down a waitress for a refill. Will I go again? I can tell you it's not on my list probably will at some point at lunchtime. We'll see if it's any better. read more

I wet to Johnny's for the fourth time today, hoping for improvement. Th first time, I had a Patty, milk that I could only label is OK nothing special. The next time I had eggs with bacon and hashbrowns, the bacon was so tough that I could barely chew it. The next time I went, I had gravy biscuits, which were very disappointing, hardly any flavor at all. Perhaps they could add a little sausage to the gravy I think it would make a world of difference,. The best chicken fried steak I ever had.i ordered my egg scrambled light and a biscuit. This food was so good. I got full and I still kept eating. The coffee was good. The water was good.
