No one approached my table for a very long time. Finally someone noticed me. I'm like, let me get my full order in right now, because I don't know when they'll be back (trauma). I ordered the Havarty sandwich with Million dollar potatoes. My sandwich finally arrives a few years later and it's cold. Come on! (God, give me patience) I tell the waitress, she takes it back. I see her talking to the cheff back in the kitchen. (Hey guy, we can all see you!) I can see he is pissed off and tells her whatever he tells her. He looks like an angry guy, so I'm sure that was a bad interaction. She gently comes back and says they are remaking it. In my head I'm like, I hope this doesn't take forever. Yo! Tell me why a different waitress brings me my sandwich and instead of remaking it, this angry shart, I mean cheff, sends me back a rost beef sandwich! He literally took out the prime rib and replaced it with 3 slices of roast beef deli meat. Who does that!? That moron shouldn't be leading a team back there. Especially with a crappy, client facing, bad attitude. This bum thinks hes Gordon Ramzay. But he puts out lazy solutions to faithful consumers. Fire that puts! I'm like, are you serious right now?! No fuss, no more waisting more of my time, I got up and got out of there. What a shit show! Nothing against First Watch as a chain, but this is hands down the worst staff and experience I have had in all of the United States. #Kansas city, this location sucks! Food was okay nothing special just another chain breakfast place BUT the thing that really got me was this place automatically charged everyone for coffee. When we tried to tell them that 1/2 the adults at the table didn't drink coffee. They didn't believe us and refused take it off the bill. If you come here during the weekend then I'll give you some advice. Put a reservation ahead of time before you arrive or be prepared to wait to be seated. The staff is very pleasant and understanding about customer satisfaction and the need to sit waiting patrons. Food is pretty good and you'll leave satisfied but don't expect the food to unique enough that you can't get it anywhere else. I do enjoy the fact that they have different foods/ options if you're health conscious like me or you're a hungry bear and you want a big chocolate chip pancake with delicious syrup. The crowd you'll find at this particular location is a mix of family with kids and people who just want an easy go to breakfast/ brunch place that'll feed anyone's craving. This location does have outside seating which means if you want to bring your furry friend then let the hostess know you'd like you and your furry companions to be seated where you can have fresh air. read more

I really missed this place! I took these pancakes for granted when I lived in the Midwest. 2 gourmet pancakes for only about $7 is an awesome deal. AND they're big pancakes! Pancakes back in Cali is anywhere from $10 -15 and they're not that great. I got the bacon cheddar pancake which isn't on the menu anymore, but you can still order it. AMAZING!!! Their carrot cake pancakes are also really good. The service was pretty friendly and the place was inviting. I'll miss you when I head back home. read more

I love that there's a healthy option. I don't love that the healthy option is not terribly tasty (it IS possible to make a delicious egg white omelet, dang it!). I love that service is relatively quick to take orders. I don't love that our server(s) chose to split our table in half simply because we had a group that had to sit at tables that crossed waitressing boundaries - so our groups got different levels and timing on the service. I love that service was at least friendly and nice. I don't love that she was SO friendly she started sharing personal details and trash-talking her boss. All in all, this place wasn't bad, and we went early enough on a Sunday that we didn't have to face the horror story of lines. If I had to face the kind of lines and wait times this place is famous for, I would say it is absolutely not worth it. First watch has always been one of those staples that we really enjoy going to. We still do, and the food is fantastic, service is great, but we've noticed the last few times the wait time to get our food to our table has been incredibly long. Like 45-60 minutes long. Not sure what's going on, but hopefully that will improve soon. read more

Had breakfast with a friend this morning and we both received "cold" scrambled eggs, and my ham was lukewarm at best. The waitress brought us "hot" eggs but didn't bother to give us "hot" ham, bacon or toast. I was disappointed as I have frequented this First Watch many times and have noticed a decline in the quality of food and the portion size. Everything was good but it is a little pricey. It was the first time I had been there, so I wasn't sure what to expect.

The service at this First Watch at 7301 W. 151st Street is the reason I'm only giving it 3 stars. One time we waited 10 minutes to even be acknowledged and given our menus and it was not even during a busy time of day. Another time the server aggressively "threw" down our drinks on the table and acted like she didn't want to be there. We now go to the one on 135th Street and 69 Highway as the service is way better there. The food is good despite the bad service and the inside is neat and clean. read more

A bit of a hipster morning breakfast spot with a prolific menu. Overall meh, and this is a case of being too big for your britches. I ordered the eggs benedict, a brunch staple. Served on ciabatta instead of English muffins. The eggs were over cooked and the hollandaise was pretty flavorless. Altogether a fine but unimaginative and forgettable take on the dish. My husband had the bacaudo, an under seasoned bacon and avocado omelette (with only trace amounts of bacon and browned avocado). On the side were some greens and what I guess was supposed to be toast, but was merely warmed bread. The table also ordered blueberry pancakes, which might be the best dish at the table. Very fresh fruit. As a sad aside, the served syrup was barely palatable. These pancakes really were perfect without the store brand syrup with maple additives that we got put next to the dish. Overall, this might be a great place to go with low expectations and a group of folks who want to pick between several dozen options, but I think this restaurant could make half the menu at a higher quality than what they are going for right now. read more

We have been going to this location for years and within the last few months things have gone down hill. Most of the time the service is good or at least ok but the food is not near as it good used to be. Today our food was cold when we got it, our waiter was nice, and the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. There was s*** all over the only working stall. Husband went to pick it up bc door dash said it was ready and there was no order. The manager was MORE than accommodating and made our food for us immediately. We love First Watch! My favorite is the power wrap. It's very healthy and filling! I get one every time we eat there. Also love the Kale tonic even though I was skeptical about ordering one. It tastes kind of sweet and very refreshing! My husband loves the healthy turkey egg white dish. My moms favorite lunch is the turkey burger. You can't go wrong with the blueberry pancakes as they are delicious! We also always use their app to get in line so we don't have a wait.
