    Irish Eggs Benedict
    Dana H.

Great service and great food! I ordered the Irish Eggs Bennie with extra crispy hash browns and they delivered! I always hesitate to veer away from the standard eggs Benedict but decided to try the Irish because I love hash... I don't regret it and will have a hard time ordering anything else when I go back. The Bennie was fantastic and the hash browns were perfectly crispy, perfect!! The only negative thing I could say about this little place was the guy hanging out by the door, potentially homeless but a little creepy.

Stopped in for breakfast with a friend, staff was friendly and helpful. Food came out quickly and was a good size portions. Flavors were good. I have come here for over 20 years now and even thought it has changed owners a few times the quality of staff and food has always been good.

I thought I'd try a different breakfast spot. I ordered eggs over medium, bacon, wheat toast & hash browns. The eggs were cooked hard! Bacon was uncooked & the toast was basically dry.

Shout out the amazing staff at Santa Fe Cafe! My cousin held a graduation party in the afternoon in this establishments. The food was delicious and even pleased the pickiest foodie in our family, my mother! We were able to move a few of the tables around to put in a dessert table and a balloon arch. They served us coffee at the end of the night and it was a fantastic ending to our night! The servers walked around picking up plates and offering more drinks throughout the event. They have a tv where you're able to display photos. Overall we were very happy with everything. I can't wait to come back during regular operating hours.

Going back after a few months has helped due this spot some good, pancakes were great and fluffy and the biscuits and gravy felt way improved. Ultimately this is a spot I like enough to go again to, I think the big points of emphasis would be better flavor on the sausage gravy, crispiness of the hash browns, and more of a softer scramble on the eggs should you want that Service like last time was awesome and welcoming. .

Breakfast, eggs, corn beef hash, biscuits & gravy, French toast, good coffee!

We had a wonderful experience here! Very clean, great service, awesome food, reasonable prices!! Will definitely return!

This is a little hole in the wall cafe. It may look small from the outside however it is quite large on the inside. The staff is beyond helpful and friendly. Everyone is very welcoming from the time we got there to the time we left. Our breakfast was fresh, warm and delicious. We will definitely be returning customers!

I went here for a late breakfast with a group of 5. We were seated quickly but there were long waits to order and to get the food. I think there was only one server for all tables at the time. The eggs were good, not overdone and the bacon was the perfect amount of crispy. The pancake was a bit tough and hard to cut into pieces but tasted fine. Everything was just fine, I don't plan on stopping by again though.

A local spot for good food and service! If you are craving a classic cafe experience, there are plenty of breakfast and lunch options.

I ordered the Homemade Chicken Pot Pie, and while it was okay, it really lacked flavor. It wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't memorable. My daughter ordered the fish and chips with the loaded fries upgrade. She said the fish wasn't very good, which surprised me because she absolutely loves fish and almost never complains about it. She was hungry enough to eat it, but it definitely wasn't something she'd order again. As for the loaded fries, paying an extra $1.50 wasn't worth it. There were barely any toppings, so they were still dry and didn't really feel "loaded" at all. Overall, the meal was just mediocre. Nothing was terrible, but nothing stood out either, especially for the price. I might give Cheddar's another chance and try something different, but after this experience, it's not somewhere I'd go out of my way to eat or find myself craving. There are plenty of other places I'd choose before coming back.

Our waitress greeted us warmly and wished us happy anniversary and told us that for celebrating with them we'd receive a special dessert or a champagne toast. Another lovely surprise. It could not have been more delicious. My husband enjoyed their Three Way Chicken, a dish so plentiful he took one piece home with him. We were both so pleased with our meals we didn't want to eat to excess, so our server offered to send our dessert home with us. The service, ambience and food were all wonderful. So glad we selected Silo as our place to celebrate!

We hit the club for brunch with a group, and while the ambiance was pure "Country Club Chic," the execution was a bit more "Sunday Morning Sand Trap." The Liquid Courage I started off my round with two drinks. the Bloody Mary. It was fine--tasty enough, but it certainly didn't change my life or inspire any poetry. However, things got interesting with their Tequila/Cold Brew/Liquor 43 concoction. Topped with an egg foam cap, it was actually pretty solid. A bit of a gamble, but sometimes you have to roll the dice when the menu is trying that hard. The Culinary "Hit and Miss" Then came the food, or as I like to call it: The Great Consistency Crisis. The Steak: I asked for medium-rare; I received medium-well with a "char" that felt more like a personal vendetta against the cow. The Potatoes: Apparently, potato portions are determined by a lottery system. I received about half the amount of the person next to me. Maybe I didn't look hungry enough? The Eggs: My over-easy eggs had crispy, hard edges and arrived at a temperature I'd describe as "lukewarm at best." We also had to hunt down salt and pepper like we were on a scavenger hunt. Honestly, I probably should have just hit the buffet and cut out the middleman. The Service Our server was perfectly nice, but he appeared to be roughly twelve years old. Since he wasn't legally old enough to understand the complexity of a craft cocktail, he couldn't give us any info on the drink menu. We just had to "go with our gut"--which is a dangerous game when tequila and cold brew are involved. The Verdict I'm not saying I won't be back, but consider this a fair warning: if Round 2 involves another charred steak and a side of "room temperature" eggs, I'll be sending it back for a rerun faster than a shanked drive into the woods. 3/5 Stars -- Great for people-watching, questionable for potato-equity.

They absolutely have the processes of this little restaurant honed to perfection, and even during a busy lunch time kept things humming so that there was minimal wait time (to order, for the food to be brought out, and to pay for our meal). Many, MANY thanks to Robert, who seated us, took our order, brought our food out, and settled our bill. He was friendly, efficient, and so welcoming. It was a joy to watch him work; he made sure to greet each and every customer coming in the door, and was consistently so upbeat and positive. And many, MANY thanks to Tony at the grill! Our food was FANTASTIC!! I have high standards for Mediterranean food, and the falafel wrap was totally delicious! The falafel itself was perfectly cooked, with a crispy outer layer, and the other ingredients in the wrap were chosen for a perfect melding of flavors. I had the side salad, with homemade Thai peanut dressing, and it was equally tasty. My husband had the patty melt, which came on homemade bread (!) and was, per his report, perfectly done. His side was tater tots, and we shared them. They were crisp and light without being greasy, and addictively yummy! The restaurant is in a strip center; it's not very big, but the tables are well placed so that no one feels cramped. The open reception area and kitchen/grill make it easy for the staff to respond to what's happening in the dining room (e.g., new folks arriving). It was a truly memorable meal, and we'll definitely be back! Again, MANY thanks to Robert and Tony for such a great lunch. We appreciate you!

The Old School Family Dinner Still Lives!…read more I usually wait until I have been to a restaurant at least three times before publishing a review - that way I can be fair to both the restaurant and possible customers (anyone can have both good and bad days). So after a few visits over the past year (lock downs do get in the way) here goes Located in a strip mall off West 87th Street in Merriam, there is plenty of lighted off street parking and handicap access. Once inside you know you are in an old school family dinner. Booths line the sides and tables in the middle. Temptation Alert: You will have to pass the desert display on your way to your seat, so take a good look before ordering your meal! Should you let your eyes outpace your stomach, you can pick up that slice of pie to take home for a late snack (yes, I have done that too). Service has always been above average, but can drag a bit depending on demand. While I have had a couple of "mistakes" (over cooked burger and steak), they were rectified immediately and cheerfully. The menu pretty much covers everything you would expect in a dinner: all the breakfasts most everyone looks for, lunch specials, and dinners that run from light fare to steaks and meatloaf! With that in mind, I have never been disappointed in either the quality or quantity of any meal. My recommendations are Steak and Eggs for Breakfast along with Meatloaf for dinner. Prices are well in line with the neighborhood and similar restaurants. Considering recent lockdowns in the area, social distancing is easily covered, and all employees wear masks. They do have curbside take out and delivery. Do I recommend Pegah's? Yes, I think I am becoming a regular!
