I finally made a visit to the Paramus First Watch location. It was close to closing and it wasn't crowded. I was seated immediately. I've ordered one of my favorites - Market Hash and a Blazing Dragon drink. The quality of food and service was very as it has been at other FW locations. I give it 5 Stars. The only downside was the women's bathroom was filthy. So I'm taking away 1 star. This location doesn't serve alcohol. Although that is disappointing, I'll come back because the food and service was A1. read more

First Watch @ Bergen Outlet Mall Good to know there is a new place that we can frequent for brunch apart from our usual place Bluestone Lane. Food : 3.5/5 (Salty for our preference) Service : 5/5 Ambience : 4/5 We ordered the (1) Seasonal Menu - Chimichurri steak & eggs hash, & (2) Strawberry pancakes. The steak & egg hash was pretty good, exactly as presented in the picture !!!! But the food was very salty for our preference. I don't usually have to mention "Easy on the salt." But, next time I am at First Watch, I might have to. The pancakes were just regular. Not so fluffy, but a bit mushy. The server was very attentive, and pot of coffee was a convenient service without having to raise your hand for more. The place is very spacious and very busy during lunch time. Came here on a Saturday with two friends. It was 10 am, we had no reservation and got sat immediately. (Not entirely sure if they take reservations, but you can add yourself to an online waitlist) The food was delicious, I had the trifecta - your choice of waffle or pancake, your choice of eggs in addition to a choice of bacon, ham, turkey sausage or chicken sausage. I love how many options their menu had. Lots of gluten free choices and my meal alone gave me a lot of choice. They also have healthier menu items and their prices were very reasonable! Came here on a whim on FATHER'S DAY and I thought this was gonna be crazy packed. Thanks to my kids who wake up ass early, we got here around 8:15am and got seated right away. Cute little place at the lower level next to Homegoods and where Ele8vation gym. Ample amount of seating outside which is nice for families with young kids. We were seated inside toward the back of the restaurant which was more spacious than I expected. A server didn't come until about 10 minutes after getting seated, and we weren't offered waters or anything- probably cuz they offered coffee instead. Rather than getting hot coffee, my husband and i opted for the mint mocha latte which was absolutely delicious and refreshing. The mint wasn't too overwhelming and the chocolate wasn't too sweet. I went for the "traditional" which was the two eggs, breakfast potatoes, choice of meat, and bread. I got my son a chocolate chip pancake which was MASSIVE and he clearly didn't finish, but he did have all the bacon and a few bites. Our server was super sweet and food came out pretty quick. They started getting really busy when we left around 9ish so I was happy we got there early. They started having someone take down names and tons of people were waiting outside. The only thing I didn't like were the cushion chairs that probably needs a good deep cleaning and some vacuuming of the crumbs, but otherwise everything was delicious and service was great. It was a little difficult to find this location at first, Apple Maps made it look like it was on the inside of the mall. Definitely a popular brunch place, and the food proves why. We split a salty and a sweet- carrot cake pancakes (which were HUGE) & the signature BEC. The BEC was delicious, it was spicy yet sweet with the roasted peppers. And the carrot cake pancakes were a good sweet treat to pair it with, literally tasted like cake. Tried their a chimi style seasonal skillet and lemon blueberry cornbread which were both outstanding. Had to pack the cornbread since we couldn't finish but devoured the skillet. Came here for breakfast this morning with the family. Decided to come here after reading such positive reviews about their fresh ingredients and delicious food. We arrived at 8am and our server was Hermine. She was so sweet and gave me suggestions for food options. She was probably the only thing pleasant about this experience. 3 basic breakfast came out to over $75 and unfortunately it wasn't even close to being worth it.. toast was stale and dry, home fries were very undercooked and the grits were probably the worst that I've ever tasted in my life.. couldn't even get an iced coffee because they ONLY make them with whole milk and I drink oatmilk. As I said before, other than the sweet customer service we received, nothing else is worth recommending. What a disappointment read more

It is not located inside the mall, but in the lower level parking lot next to Home Goods. I knew this location was going to be on the money because there was an hour wait when my girlfriend and I checked in. To entertain yourself while you wait, window in the surrounding stores until you receive a text message alerting you that your table is ready. When we were seated, I was impressed already. The chairs are comfortable and they automatically provided all three utensils; most places only provide a fork and knife and I always have to request a spoon. These are a couple of the menu items I explored: Coffee: I usually never order coffee whenever I dine out because I am not a fan of milk or half & half. First Watch provides vanilla and hazelnut coffee creamers. As a bonus, the coffee is served in a refillable carafe ( similar to IHOP); if it is empty, the server will gladly refill it. Double Bacon Parmesan Hash: This was a unique, but phenomenal breakfast plate. I knew this signature item was going to be a winner when I saw the sidewalk billboard poster. It was topped with a vegetable medley, over easy eggs, bacon and smothered in Alfredo sauce. The plate was very filling and I didn't feel bloated afterwards. Quick disclaimer: First Watch Benedicts are served on one long piece of bread, with a knife provided so you can cut and portion it yourself. This new brunch spot is located on the Route 4 side of parking lot in BTC. Modern cozy dining space with lots of seats available. We went there on Sunday noon time and surprisingly it wasn't packed. We got a table right away. The menu has lots of brunch style dishes, combos of half sandwich, green and soups and a variety of drinks. I loved the purple haze, it was citrusy but little sweet at the same time. I ordered the carne asada breakfast tacos from the holiday menu. It came with three soft tacos filled with eggs, beef cubes, pickled onion, avocado, pica de gallo, and the valentina hot sauce. All the ingredients together tasted delicious. It was a good portion for lunch. I was able to switch the beans with greens as well. The staff and our server all were very friendly. All the drinks and dishes came out within short time. New spot by the Bergen Mall, located where the tire shop used to be. They have a few specials, the million dollar bacon is good with honey and the pepper I could've done without. The million dollar potatoes is the same thing as seasoned potatoes with the million dollar bacon crushed, and some sour cream, I didn't like that nearly as much. The salmon eggs Benedict was okay, it lacks moisture in the muffin/biscuit and the salmon was a bit bland. The seasoned potatoes, however are a nice touch on most dishes. Not a bad brunch place. We opted for the window counter and skipped the line which was a 50 minute wait. Even so, our server was great and foos came out hot. The menu is varied with a slightly Latin slant on most dishes. Breakfast/lunch spot with an updated diner-look. The servers were friendly and the atmosphere felt clean/good wake-me-up. Let them know if you want coffee or not, the will give you a jug/pitcher and charge (free refills). The coffee tasted like a okay-decent medium-roast and the "double bacon parmesean hash" was a solid, good meal for the start of the morning. They were able to get my over-medium eggs right. One thing to note, especially going with my friend whos an avid gym-goer, he was able to count his macros and calories better then other spots as he stated so thats a plus. This location recently opened and am excited to check this place since I've liked the other locations I've been to. Upon arrival around 1pm on a Wednesday afternoon, we were quickly seated but the place was fairly lively with lunch goers. The decor is farm fresh with wooden decorations and satins on the wall. The menu was standard to other locations. Our waitress quickly came over, introduced us and took our drink orders. After glances of the menu, we decided to stick to the tried and true classic American breakfast, pancake/waffle, apple chicken sausage with scrambled eggs. The food quickly arrived without too long a wait. The waffle was light & fluffy, with a nice touch of berry compote. The chicken sausage was one of my fav. Full of flavor and spice. Came here for brunch on a Saturday. We were a party of 7 and the wait was about 1 hour which was okay I guess since there's a shopping mall there. We shop a bit then went back to wait. The service wasn't bad but the food did take awhile to come. We waited about 20-30 mins for the food to come. The food was pretty good. I got salmon eggs Benedict with potatoes on the side. My potatoes were a bit burnt but luckily I'm okay with burnt food. My husband got carrot cake pancakes and that was really good. Have to say... one of the better pancakes I've had. Came here for Valentine's Day weekend fully expecting chaos, and yes, it was packed. Luckily I checked in through the app, which made everything smooth. We were seated right when the app notified us. The restaurant was clean, bright, and well organized. Our first server, Samantha, was incredible. Polite, sweet, accommodating, and very patient since it was our first time at this location and the menu is pretty big. She joked around with us and made brunch genuinely fun. I started with the seasonal Pineapple Express drink. Pineapple, orange, coconut water, lime, agave, and a mint crystal rim. It tasted fresh, not syrupy, and super refreshing. Food wise, we ordered the Traditional Breakfast with bacon, fresh seasoned potatoes, and a biscuit. The biscuit was a little cold the first day, but everything else was great. I also got the limited time B.E.C. which was outstanding. Hardwood smoked bacon, folded eggs, aged cheddar, sweet peppers, arugula, Calabrian chili aioli, roasted garlic aioli on griddled sourdough. Buttery, slightly spicy, creamy, and packed with flavor. I added Bob's Red Mill cheesy grits and the blueberry lemon cornbread. The cornbread with whipped lemon butter was a sleeper hit. The potatoes were excellent, well seasoned but not overly salty. The bacon had that perfect edge crisp with great flavor. This location was so good we came back the next day. Same Traditional Breakfast, and this time the biscuit was warmer and the potatoes came in a full bowl. I switched it up and ordered the Bacado Omelet with bacon, avocado, Monterey Jack, pico, greens, and toast, plus cheesy grits again. The grits were even cheesier and creamier this time. I added sparkling water and a Belgian waffle for good measure. Everything was excellent. Great portions and fair pricing. Shoutout to our second server Ariday. Friendly, sweet, and very helpful. I also took home the limited Chimichurri Steak and Eggs Hash. Great portion, tender steak, and good flavors overall, but it was very salty which took away from it. I'm am so exited First Watch is now close to me! I've loved going to First Watch when I visit my bestie in Ohio and now it's closer to me - yay! It's located in the Bergen Town Center towards the back by Homegoods & Kohl's - they also have their own lot right in front. I had the honor of visiting during the family & friends event and everything was absolutely delicious. I tried my son's farmer's skillet hash (5/5) and I ordered the trifecta with a banana granola almond pancake, chicken apple sausage and over easy eggs (5/5), also tried the millions dollar potatoes(5/5) and wow! They are so tasty! For beverages I had a cold brew (5/5) perfectly made not bitter, just smooth one of the best cold brews I've had! The kale tonic (5/5) was also delicious - It's really refreshing and light, I love that its sweetness is naturally from lemons & Fuji apples. Service by Adrian (I hope that's right) was great! We were initially told the wait would be 25 minutes -- totally reasonable. But after receiving a text 15 minutes later saying we were next, we returned only to be told the kitchen was backed up and it would be another 15 minutes. Then came multiple conflicting texts, including one saying we were being removed from the waitlist for not responding... while we were literally standing there. We were finally seated about 20 minutes after that. It only got worse. It took 40 minutes for food to arrive, and even then, my daughter was served first while my husband and I waited another 15 minutes for ours. The food itself was incredibly disappointing: "poached" eggs that were basically hard-boiled, burnt toast, burnt sausage, and scrambled eggs that came out as a firm, molded mound instead of anything soft or freshly made. To top it off, the entire restaurant felt chaotic. We heard multiple crashes from the kitchen, servers openly complaining, and even staff encouraging the host not to walk out mid-shift. Meanwhile, takeout and delivery orders were flying out while dine-in customers sat waiting for long stretches. Overall, disorganized, poorly managed, and not worth the time or money. Thank you First Watch, for setting up a location so close to home. The restaurant is located adjacent to the Bergen Town Center Mall complex, has plenty of parking, nice interior decor, and is clean throughout. Jamile was an exceptional Server and kept us comfortable throughout the entire meal. I ALWAYS enjoy First Watch's Iced Coffee. It is deliciously sweet and served in a large glass. The entrees ordered were: Avocado Toast (thick-cut whole grain artisan toast, fresh smashed avocado, EVOO, lemon and Maldon sea salt with two basted cage-free eggs). The other was the Healthy Turkey (Turkey, house-roasted onions, tomatoes, spinach and Feta cheese in a cage-free egg white omelet. Served with sliced tomatoes and whole grain artisan toast). Both of these items were amazing. All of the ingredients were fresh and the servings were adequate sizes. We also ordered a side of Million Dollar Bacon (Four slices of Fist Watch's signature hardwood smoked bacon baked with brown sugar, black pepper, cayenne and a maple syrup drizzle). I decided to try the new spot at the Bergen Town mall. Good strong coffee! Nice servers and a very nice atmosphere. The breakfast was ok, the eggs were good but the chicken sausage patties were a little hard and dry. The potatoes were very tasty with the upgrade which made them pretty darn good. They serve a multigrain bread with some jam that made them taste great. Overall I would recommend the place but I should have had my favorite which is French toast, I saw someone who ordered it and they looked delicious. Next time I will try that. The menu is overwhelmingly large with very small print which gave me some difficulty to read. Maybe some reading glasses would be helpful to bring with you. The decor is nice with some outdoor seating for the nice weather. read more

Was looking forward to try the breakfast at First Watch and believe me iI was not disappointed. I ordered the hash potatoes with mushrooms, zucchini, onions, red peppers. Multi grain toast with butter and jelly yummy, but wait the coffee with oat milk was sooo delicious. What was cool was the coffee pot left at our table for hot refill. Maria our server was very pleasant and patient with us as we try reading the menu (we forgot our reading glasses lol). My 2600th review goes to First Watch! I had been to a First Watch in another state before and liked the food. When I found out they were opening one nearby, I wanted to check it out. I had signed up for their emails/promotions ahead of their opening and had a coupon for a BOGO free entrée for my birthday. Unfortunately, I didn't know that the coupon was not valid on the expiration date (you have to use it before that date, so just keep that in mind). We still ate there anyway. My daughter, hubby, and I stopped in on a Saturday at around 12:30. We were quoted a 35 minute wait, but it was closer to an hour. But the nice thing is that you can shop around, they'll text you when your table is ready, and you have 10 minutes to get there. I had the Pesto Chicken Quinoa Bowl (quinoa, kale, shredded carrots, roasted tomatoes topped with chicken breast, basil pesto sauce, lemon white balsamic dressing, Feta cheese and fresh herbs). This is what I had when I first tried First Watch and it's just as good as I remembered it. It's actually what made me start liking quinoa in the first place. The chicken breast was perfectly cooked, and the dressing gave it a nice zest. For a drink, I had the Kale Tonic Fresh Juice (Kale, Fuji apple, English cucumber and lemon). This was very refreshing but a bit sweet so I watered it down myself. Hubby had the Works Omelet, which he upgraded with Million Dollar Potatoes as the side, and he seemed to like it. I just saw that they have a seasonal menu, so it's nice that they have their classic items but also some other dishes on rotation. We live in the area and had high hopes for a new breakfast/brunch spot. The interior was nice, clean and modern. Unfortunately, our experience was not a good one. The cutlery was not clean- we asked for a new set. The items on the menu all sounded delicious. There were lots of choices. When the food came out it was not all hot. The potatoes were cold/lukewarm. The eggs, cold. The biscuit with sausage gravy was tasty and hot. I asked for water and was brought a glass with lipstick still on the rim. Gross. By this time we were ready to leave. Won't return anytime soon. Although most food was left on our plates our waitress just ignored that and dropped the check. Good concept but poor execution. At least clean/polish the cutlery properly and send hot food out. read more

Great spot for breakfast! Food is high quality and they have a good variety of pancakes, French toast and healthy alternatives. Their million dollar bacon is different and enjoyable! My grandkids did not enjoy it as it was little spicy, but no complaints on it from the adults in our group. Really enjoy the coffee too and the wait staff are very friendly and helpful. ( although host\hostess seemed disinterested) I've eaten at a location ion NC and was very impressed. Large inside ( sits over 200) and lightly decorated as a "farm to table" sort of place. First Watch focuses exclusively on breakfast, brunch, and lunch, and is known for using fresh ingredients with no heat lamps, microwaves, or deep fryers. At 1130am on a Tuesday we waited about 20 minutes for a table for 2. They will text you when your table is ready. The free coffee urn in the waiting area is a great idea.. Coffee was excellent! THE FOOD: Menu has many options of breakfast fare; delish juices and sides too. Everything was very good. On this trip I tried the Frittata Rustica : An Italian-style omelet with kale, house-roasted Crimini mushrooms, onions and tomatoes topped with Mozzarella and Parmesan. Served with ciabatta toast and lemon-dressed organic mixed greens. Everything was so fresh. Delish. Accompanied by the ever refreshing Purple Haze ( juice) made with lemon, cane sugar, butterfly pea flower tea and a hint of lavender. My friend thoroughly enjoyed the Tangerine Dream (juice) made with tangerine, pineapple, organic ginger, cane sugar and sweet cream cold foam along with the Chickichanga: whipped cage-free eggs with spicy, all-natural chicken breast, chorizo, green chiles, Cheddar and Monterey Jack, onions and avocado rolled in a flour tortilla. Topped with Vera Cruz sauce and all-natural sour cream. Served with fresh, seasoned potatoes. Pricing is fair for the quality of food and beverages, so the VALUE is 5 Stars.
