    Kids Chocolate chip pancakes

Came here on a whim on FATHER'S DAY and I thought this was gonna be crazy packed. Thanks to my kids who wake up ass early, we got here around 8:15am and got seated right away. Cute little place at the lower level next to Homegoods and where Ele8vation gym. Ample amount of seating outside which is nice for families with young kids. We were seated inside toward the back of the restaurant which was more spacious than I expected. A server didn't come until about 10 minutes after getting seated, and we weren't offered waters or anything- probably cuz they offered coffee instead. Rather than getting hot coffee, my husband and i opted for the mint mocha latte which was absolutely delicious and refreshing. The mint wasn't too overwhelming and the chocolate wasn't too sweet. I went for the "traditional" which was the two eggs, breakfast potatoes, choice of meat, and bread. I got my son a chocolate chip pancake which was MASSIVE and he clearly didn't finish, but he did have all the bacon and a few bites. Our server was super sweet and food came out pretty quick. They started getting really busy when we left around 9ish so I was happy we got there early. They started having someone take down names and tons of people were waiting outside. The only thing I didn't like were the cushion chairs that probably needs a good deep cleaning and some vacuuming of the crumbs, but otherwise everything was delicious and service was great. Will definitely come back again, EARLY to make sure I don't have to wait with an inpatient 6 year and 1 year old!

I came in with three others early on a Saturday before the rush really picked up. Our server who I don't remember her name, was absolutely delightful, helpful and welcoming! It took us a while to order our food, which is a good problem because we couldn't decide on what we wanted. But once we did, every single person was happy with what they ordered and everything looked and tasted delicious. I definitely recommend stopping by here and I myself will also return when in the area.

It was a little difficult to find this location at first, Apple Maps made it look like it was on the inside of the mall. Definitely a popular brunch place, and the food proves why. We split a salty and a sweet- carrot cake pancakes (which were HUGE) & the signature BEC. The BEC was delicious, it was spicy yet sweet with the roasted peppers. And the carrot cake pancakes were a good sweet treat to pair it with, literally tasted like cake. We washed every thing down with their caramel crunch iced coffee- I do believe hot coffee is free !

Another breakfast brunch chain?? Well I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed having an early weekend breakfast since our little one woke up super early. :) Came around 730/8am and was seated quickly. Tried their a chimi style seasonal skillet and lemon blueberry cornbread which were both outstanding. Had to pack the cornbread since we couldn't finish but devoured the skillet. The flavors mesh so well together and not something I would normally make at home, so it was nice to try something different. Great service and well decorated inside.

Good service. The million dollar bacon is delicious. This is a quality meal at a good value with plenty of healthy options. Food was served quick with helpful service. Syrup was served warm. I'd love to go back and try other items.

Wife and I visited the Montvale location and was excited that there is now one in Paramus. We came here for breakfast and the food was delicious. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely come here more often for our breakfast stops.

First Watch puts the GOOD in MORNING. It's a brunch restaurant franchise that specializes in serving fresh, high-quality, made-from-scratch, and locally sourced meals. There's a heavy emphasis on farm-to-table philosophy. The menu focuses exclusively on popular breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes like pancakes, waffles, omelettes, biscuits, power bowls, salads, sandwiches, fresh juices, etc. Prices are slightly higher compared to other brunch chains and diners, but you're paying more for higher quality ingredients. This is an ideal spot for those who are more health conscious. The Paramus location recently opened two months ago and it's already becoming a hotspot in the area! Parking can be a bit of a pain since it shares a large lot with other stores within the busy and bustling Bergen Town Center. We came in as a group of 9 on a Monday afternoon and were seated immediately. They're very busy on the weekends, so there will be wait times. They don't take reservations, but you can join the waitlist online. The interior is modern and casual with bright, natural lighting. The decor is simple with some antique and rustic touches. There are tables and booths for small and large groups. I ordered... *Cold Brew Coffee $4.59 - Not very good :( It was watery and practically flavorless. *Chickichanga with side of potatoes $14.49 (includes whipped cage-free eggs with spicy, all-natural chicken breast, chorizo, green chiles, cheddar and monterey jack cheese, onions, and avocado rolled in a flour tortilla topped with veracruz sauce and sour cream) - I really enjoyed this! The flour tortilla was hot and deep-fried to a nice crisp. The fillings and sauces were savory and hearty with the right balance of spice and tang. The melted cheeses were so creamy, making it a perfect comfort dish. The potatoes were fresh and well seasoned. *Cheesecake Holey Nutella Donuts $6.49 (mini donuts with whipped cheesecake filling topped with cinnamon sugar, nutella, spiced gingerbread cookie crumbles & glazed strawberries) - This is a good dessert option to share with a group. The donuts are small, but dense. The dough is cakey and fluffy. The cinnamon sugar and nutella drizzle will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth! The rest of my group ordered salads, carne asada breakfast tacos, waffles, eggs, bacon, and biscuits & gravy. Everyone was happy with the portion sizes, quality, and flavors of their food. We also shared two pots of freshly brewed, bold coffee. No complaints on the service. We were a large group and our server was friendly and efficient. Our food came out within a reasonable amount of time. Overall, this was a satisfying experience! Prices are reasonable, food is fresh & flavorful, and service is friendly. I don't have much to complain about. I'm glad First Watch is in the neighborhood and I would definitely recommend trying them out for your next brunch!

First Watch 1 Bergen Town Center Paramus, NJ 07652 Coffee Double Bacon Parmesan Hash This breakfast & brunch chain restaurant recently opened within the complex of the Bergen Town Center mall. It is not located inside the mall, but in the lower level parking lot next to Home Goods. I knew this location was going to be on the money because there was an hour wait when my girlfriend and I checked in. To entertain yourself while you wait, window in the surrounding stores until you receive a text message alerting you that your table is ready. When we were seated, I was impressed already. The chairs are comfortable and they automatically provided all three utensils; most places only provide a fork and knife and I always have to request a spoon. These are a couple of the menu items I explored: Coffee: I usually never order coffee whenever I dine out because I am not a fan of milk or half & half. First Watch provides vanilla and hazelnut coffee creamers. As a bonus, the coffee is served in a refillable carafe ( similar to IHOP); if it is empty, the server will gladly refill it. Double Bacon Parmesan Hash: This was a unique, but phenomenal breakfast plate. I knew this signature item was going to be a winner when I saw the sidewalk billboard poster. It was topped with a vegetable medley, over easy eggs, bacon and smothered in Alfredo sauce. The plate was very filling and I didn't feel bloated afterwards. If you decide to dine here, I highly recommend arriving in the morning or early afternoon because they close every day at 2:30 PM. #firstwarch #firstwatchparamus #coffee #frenchvsnillacreamer #hazelnutcreamer #doublebaconparmesanhash

    Grits with cheese
    Bianca D.

On a grits mission -- and they did not disappoint. The grits were delicious, but be prepared for the butter and/or cheese (definitely indulgent). Quick disclaimer: First Watch Benedicts are served on one long piece of bread, with a knife provided so you can cut and portion it yourself. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with salmon flavorful, and satisfying. It was very busy, but the staff was attentive and kept the coffee coming. A solid, comforting brunch spot.

Inside of my veggie chicken sandwich. Yum

Good! Enjoyed my chicken veggie sandwich in gluten free toast with pesto sauce. Yum. Loved the homefries (good with strawberry preserves for some salty and sweet!) and fresh mesclun salad greens. I wish they had more gluten free options like for pancakes, waffles, or french toast, but the food was fresh and delicious! Our server was very nice too.

This new brunch spot is located on the Route 4 side of parking lot in BTC. Modern cozy dining space with lots of seats available. We went there on Sunday noon time and surprisingly it wasn't packed. We got a table right away. The menu has lots of brunch style dishes, combos of half sandwich, green and soups and a variety of drinks. I loved the purple haze, it was citrusy but little sweet at the same time. I ordered the carne asada breakfast tacos from the holiday menu. It came with three soft tacos filled with eggs, beef cubes, pickled onion, avocado, pica de gallo, and the valentina hot sauce. All the ingredients together tasted delicious. It was a good portion for lunch. I was able to switch the beans with greens as well. The staff and our server all were very friendly. All the drinks and dishes came out within short time. Overall our whole family had a good brunch experience. We will be visiting here more often now since it's so close to our home.

First Watch newly opened at BTC Paramus. The diner restaurant is originally from CA. I like it very much. Clean and modern design inside. Enough space for customers between tables. I can see it will be very busy during weekend brunch hours. Big menu for breakfast items, sandwiches, sweets and for kids. I had the traditional breakfast with salad. Eggs are soft. Apple Chicken patty is quite unique flavor. Waffle is fluffy. Overall a great addition to BTC at Paramus. I will definitely come back again.

New spot by the Bergen Mall, located where the tire shop used to be. They have a few specials, the million dollar bacon is good with honey and the pepper I could've done without. The million dollar potatoes is the same thing as seasoned potatoes with the million dollar bacon crushed, and some sour cream, I didn't like that nearly as much. The salmon eggs Benedict was okay, it lacks moisture in the muffin/biscuit and the salmon was a bit bland. The seasoned potatoes, however are a nice touch on most dishes. Not a bad brunch place. Sarina a helpful and friendly staffer.

The potato was shaped like the Fritos scoop chip, and the cheese dip that came with it had chunks of cheese in a melted cheese sauce. For my main, got the pulled pork sandwich ($16), which came in a pretzel knot bun and creamy slaw. It was solid meal and very filling. Other mains ordered were the roast beef "pho" style sandwich ($16) which I had a bite of and it was good and not what I expected thinking roast beef. Roast turkey ($16) was warm and also tasty. Each of the mains came with a side of potato salad. I will be back to try the sloppy Joe and their dinner meals. I suggest you head towards the houses, away from town, if you can't find a spot. I've been anxious to try this place as the pictures look solid enough and reviewers thus far seem content. My wife and I entered with plans to have beer and apps. We ended up getting Guinness, onion rings, fried calamari and the Cooper's Burger. You can't beat a 22oz Guinness for $8. The prices on their website also match what you'll see inside. Lately I find so many restaurants are charging more than they advertise online. Service was great, friendly and very attentive. I was also surprised to see how well they clean tables between customers. Spray, wipe table, wipe lamp, shakers, etc. It's totally clean for the next customer. There are only 8 or so tables in here, plus bar seating. We enjoyed some comfy seats at a high top table for two. The onion rings were great - crisp and battered nicely so they hold together. While almost a little overcooked, they were still good and better than I had at the last high end steakhouse I went to. The fried calamari was fairly priced and a good portion. It had a light crispness, though bigger pieces would've been nicer. They were mostly small, but certainly a lot of it. The accompanying marinara was good and plentiful. We got the Cooper's Burger cooked medium and it came out medium. It's a simple burger that comes with lettuce and tomato. Some red onion wouldn't been nice. They charge extra for all sorts of stuff you can get on top - fried mushrooms, fried onions, eggs, etc. It also comes with fries, which were good. Overall, it was a nice cozy time. Several middle aged couples ate here that night and a couple small groups. No loud bar crowds as they're all on central avenue. In fact, I was surprised how nice the acoustics were inside. You can hear people at your table no problem, can hear the music inside at the right level and don't hear a lot of background chatter or noise. I'd most certainly return if in the mood for pub food. And ... No credit card fee!

The hospitality was incredible. We went there for my birthday. The wait staff was so nice and provided recommendations while not pushing any one dish. We got the focaccia, softshell crab, Peking duck and chicken liver for appetizers. The softshell crab was the best I've ever had, and I would come back to this restaurant for this alone. The Peking duck was juicy and tender with the most incredible slaw type salad underneath it. The focaccia with the butter was also phenomenal, the owner actually brought it out to us and we had a nice conversation with him and you can tell he just poured his heart and soul into this restaurant. The focaccia is definitely not an appetizer to be overlooked just because it is bread. While I couldn't have any of the chicken liver mousse, it looked stunning, and my husband said that it was incredible and so light and fluffy, and it was a massive portion. I look forward to when we come back when I'm not pregnant and I can eat it. For dinner I got the Arctic char, and my husband got the pork. The Arctic char was unbelievable. It was piping hot and literally just melted in my mouth with each bite and the side that came with it was a mix of asparagus, mushrooms, farro and I don't know what else, but it was fantastic if I could have that side on its own as well, I would order more. My husband's pork was crispy and delicious with another incredible slaw topping, and it was so massive he has to take home like a third of it for dessert. We had the lemon meringue tart for dessert, which was also incredible and so refreshing for a dessert. All of the food was outrageously fresh and just outstanding. This restaurant is our new favorite place and on the way out we even made a reservation for three weeks from now to come back. This is probably the best restaurant that I've eaten at in Ridgewood hands down and I'm so glad that they are in the area. The restaurant adds a new vibe with food that is so phenomenal to match. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area as a MUST try. Of course me and my husband will be going back in a few weeks and we can't wait.

The portions are definitely what you'd call hearty, and everything was very tasty. Thursdays are all day happy hour so we picked the fried calamari appetizer at the HH price (still a full and generous plate and didn't seem like a downsized version) which were tender and well-battered, as well as the hot honey wings which were meaty and substantial. The short rib parpadelle with housemade pasta and a perfectly medium-rare, well seasoned hanger steak with truffle fries completed our satisfying and belly-stuffing meal. The entrance can be tricky to find... It's located in the back on the left-hand side. The exterior and interior are both pretty dark, dull, and dingy. It's not the most inviting atmosphere at first. It has a divey, industrial, and rustic vibe to it, but hey... sometimes the best food comes from places that don't look like much. So I try not to judge. It wasn't too busy, and the service was attentive. The menu has your classic American comfort food - wings, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, etc. They switch it up with daily specials like skirt steak, chicken parm, and pasta. They have a full bar with cocktails, drafts, bottled beers, can ciders, and wines. You can even do a four-beer flight and make it a tasting experience! I ordered: *Dark & Stormy Cocktail [Goslings Dark Rum, Ginger Beer, Lime Juice] ($14) - Not the best one I've had, but it was solid. If you like ginger and rum, this is a must try. The dark rum has hints of caramel which works really well with the spicy ginger beer. The lime juice adds a citrus kick, so it's a really refreshing drink. *Margarita ($18) - As a tequila girly, I've had my fair share of margaritas. This one didn't do it for me. It was a little too sour/tart, which overpowered everything else. *Cubano Sandwich [includes roast pork, black forest ham, swiss cheese, pickles, mayo, and mustard with side of fries] ($16) - I wasn't expecting an authentic Cubano from an American sports bar, so my expectations weren't super high. This was good, but not great. The pork was flavorful, but could've been more tender. I wish there were more pickles and mayo for that extra tangy crunch. The bread was pressed a little too hard, so it was a bit tough to bite through. *Double Blackened Chicken Breast Sandwich [includes pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo, red peppers, and red onion on brioche with side of fries] ($18) - This was huge and filling! They did not skimp out on the protein. The brioche bun was soft and buttery. The chicken was well seasoned - smoky and savory with crispy charred edges. BUT... to my disappointment, the inside was dry and not juicy at all. Another small issue was the ratio - There was so much chicken compared to the rest of the toppings, so it wasn't the most cohesive sandwich. It really needed more cheese and chipotle mayo to tie all the flavors together. The fries were the best part - thick, crispy, and golden! It's decent bar food, just not the best I've had. Nothing was bad, but nothing was great or memorable. For the price, I didn't feel it was worth it. I do appreciate that their food is served piping hot and fresh. To be fair, this is probably the perfect spot for beer lovers. I happen to not be one, lol. The burger options sound popular and promising too. I'd consider giving them another shot for Happy Hour or to try a burger, but it's not at the top of my list. Just because it's not the sports bar for me, doesn't mean it won't be the one for you.
