Decided to stop by here at the last minute instead of making breakfast today and it was pretty good. This First Watch location is in a pretty busy shopping center, we had to drive around a bit but found parking relatively close to the restaurant. Even though we came by close to closing time, the restaurant was pretty busy but they had a few tables available and since the service is so quick, people were in and out in no time. Our server Gianna was helpful in recommending which items to choose from the menu. The Chimichurri Steak & Egg Hash was good but I felt like it didn't have enough steak and had more potato than I would've wanted. The Chickichanga was good and I would recommend both dishes. Overall the service was great and this is a nice place to come with a small group. The service is fast a the food is good. Not my absolute favorite breakfast spot, but a pretty solid one and I would recommend if in a pinch and don't know where to go. read more

Unfortunately our experience was one disappointment after another. Coffee tasted terrible tasted bitter cold then after the wait staff served a hot pot for us but still the coffee tasted bitter. Morning meditation had too much beets mix was off. It's never mixed correctly. Farm stand breakfast tacos were the worst ever. We have had them before this time the worst. Belgium waffle was good too much powdered sugar plus unfortunately we found a hair while eating the waffle. Sad this has happened for when been coming here for several years. read more

I've been to this First Watch many times. I have to say this visit was a 5/5. We made reservations on line. It worked perfectly. We had a 30 min wait and therefore we got there about 5 minutes earlier. We were seated right away. Our server was Bru. He took our order ( party of 6) all by memory, including special diets. He was friendly and courteous. The food was delicious. Everything was hot, and made just to order. The restaurant itself had a nice ambiance. It's clean and we will be back again. I've been to other First Watches a few times and I was never really impressed. The ambiance is that of a brunch restaurant, not sure how to describe it. My husband and I met with my girlfriend and her family at this location in Pembroke Pines. I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised! The service was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the Bacado which was scrumptious, and my husband ordered the Chocolate Chip Pancakes, which he very much enjoyed. Everyone enjoyed their meals, in fact. This was my first time coming here and the restaurant is cute with plenty of seating. My brother and I were seated right away and the staff were friendly. We were offered coffee but it wasn't good since it tasted bitter. So my brother ordered orange juice which was better. We each ordered and omelette with seasoned home fries that comes with toast. I got the Bacado that comes with bacon, avocado and Monterrey jack cheese and sour cream on top. It was good but some of the home fries weren't completely cooked. The food is delicious here and there is so much to choose from. We were 6 people having breakfast on a busy weekend so we had to wait 30-40 minutes for a table. First Watch is always a reliable choice. This location specifically always has good, attentive service. The food also usually comes out relatively quick. On weekends, the place is slammed with a wait. On the weekdays, you can walk right in. I came in on a Wednesday late morning and sat on the patio. We were afraid sitting outside would mean slower service but that was not the case. The chili chorizo omelette was delicious with just the right amount of spice, veggies and sour cream to cool it down. The potatoes were a hardy portion and I enjoyed the pico de gallo on the side which I poured all over the omelet! Even the toast and jelly made me happy. This is the only First Watch location that I have ever had issues with. I am sad to report, yet again, they failed to meet expectations. I got the breakfast tacos which are usually a favorite of mine. As you can see from my picture, what I received was a cold, paltry, mess of a meal. The tacos barely had anything in them, and the tortillas were stale. I'm not going to waste my breath any further... a picture is worth a thousand words. Okay, so I have now been to this brunch spot three times, and finally felt that I have enough info to share my thoughts on it. I feel that it's one of those places that's fairly good overall, with a pleasant ambiance, but that is missing a certain "je ne sais quoi"... my thoughts: Pros: The food portions are good, menu selection is good, prices are good, service is good, taste of the food is good... All "good" which is fine in the grand scheme of things (I'll likely go 1 or 2 more times and update this post). With that said, and on a really positive note, the iced coffees were love-at-first-sip and in my opinion were near-worthy of 5 stars, which I give out pretty sparingly. Cons: The parking/seating/entry process is often chaotic, and has been on each of my visits. The wait time to get in is almost always 20+ mins, so get your name on the online list before actually heading to the restaurant. Also, the potatoes served with the breakfasts aren't crispy, which some may find fantastic but for me is pretty lacklustre. A little odd to me that they also do that pay-at-the-front thing like a small diner although there's no diner feel to the place. Overall: Worth going, generally you will get a good bang for your buck. read more

Todays visit to First Watch was very underwhelming. The wait was good, we had put our name on the waitlist about 20 minutes prior. The front of the house staff were great and quick to attend us, despite the heavy traffic. The hot coffee was great but the Peppermint Mocha drink was not. It tasted more like mocha milk. When we were ordering the appetizers, we were told there was no bacon cheddar cornbread or brisket hash. The bacon looked like it tossed on the plate and there was not enough syrup in the kitchen. When the appetizers arrived, the food runner didn't say excuse me when placing the plates down, even though I was using the space in the middle, nor did they say enjoy your food. We then ordered our entrees and after 10 minutes were told that the tostadas were not coming because they didn't have the taco shells. The Tri-Ficeta plate was asked for over medium eggs and we got barely cooked, grey looking and extremely runny eggs. As for the biscuits dish, it was great overall but the eggs were not sunny side up, more over medium. As for the waitress, she was nice but seemed to be very pushy, unintentionally, of course. At the beginning of the dining experience, we probably saw her once every 5 minutes and she asked what we wanted to eat or we made a decision yet. Even though there was about 2 hours left for the restaurants closing. There were 2 of us still halfway into the dish and the waitress put the bill on the table. Expedient but definitely not the appropriate time to put the bill on the table. I would still return to this First Watch, as the location is beautiful but would hope that service from the waitress/waiter/food runners gets better. read more

What a nice breakfast we just had! We came to this Firstbwatch location just across the Costco on pines, it's that new plaza next to the post office and are happy to report that this restaurant is very clean, has a lot of tables, not a long wait on a week day ( we were here on a Tuesday morning) and it also has a new menu! That's right- more delicious seasonal choices ! Today I ordered from the new menu the delicious French toast with boysenberries and lemony cream(?) and it was both beautiful to look at and not as sweet as I had feared (upon looking at it) I would say a good level of sweet. We also got the omelette that was very flavorful and came with house potatoes and their delicious thick toast, and some of the traditional over easy egg breakfast that did not disappoint. Overall we had a fun breakfast, service was very cordial And good, the food did not take long to prepare and the plates were looking so good when presented! Yum!! Lots of goodies to be had! The first thing I'll say about this place is that it gets CRAZY BUSY on a weekend for brunch. I've been to other locations during the week, and there was little wait. If you can go later on a weekend, that would seem to be a good choice. We did use the online checkin before leaving the house, so the wait wasn't too terrible once we got there. One thing I'll note is that there are a lot of people in the lobby either waiting for a table or waiting to pay. So it feels a little more packed than it needed to. Anyway, the place is pleasant and the menu is fairly large. The prices are reasonable for the portion size. I would honestly give about 3.5 stars to the food itself. It's not fantastic but it is better than similar fare at a chain restaurant. I do like that they offer turkey sausage to those that don't eat pork. And I do appreciate that they have several menu items that don't have any meat. Vegetarian options for the win! There are options available for most eaters. Service was fine though maybe a little rushed given how busy they were. The waitress made a small mistake when taking my order and didn't come back around until after I finished. But like I said it was a minor thing, and didn't matter too much. I'll probably go back - but I doubt I would on a weekend. read more

The Sweet Honey Pecan Salad was the best! I stopped in here with a friends for brunch. The booth we sat in was huge and offered lots of privacy. Our server did an excellent job taking care of us. The memory that will stay with me is the 2 for for you meal. You get two favorites from the soups, salad and sandwiches. The half of roast beef and havarti sandwich was amazing. I like this place BUT they don't have enough vegan/vegetarian options. They only have avocado toast but it's not even that good , I always have to add salt and pepper to give it taste because it's really just guacamole and some feta cheese. They also have a veggie sandwich but it's super greasy... Anyway would love it they would add a new vegan option to their seasonal menu as well as their regular menu. We eat at First Watch at least 3 times per week in Sunrise Florida. Today we went to their location in West Pembroke Pines. We joined the wait list online that stated we would be seated in 20 minutes. An hour after arriving and after we checked in we were still waiting. If we would have known this store was lying about the wait time we would have gone to the Sunrise location! Instead we walked across the parking lot to Cheddars. We were seated, ordered and eating at Cheddars before we got the text to be seated at the West Pembroke location! This is pure lack of customer respect By First Watch!!! read more

Solid 3 stars...minus 2 because customer service is a bit spotty most days. This morning we stopped in JUST BEFORE the big Saturday morning rush. We waited and my husband noticed what appeared to be the staff seating their friends before people that were already waiting. I could be wrong in this analysis but when you see a group of kids pull up to the front, one kid walk to the door and peep in, smiles are exchanged between the hostess station and the kid. Kid leaves to park car and then returns with 4 friends and they walk up, and have friendly but quiet chat with the two hostesses and then a few moments later, they are being seated before people who have been waiting...I mean it looked shaky to me and if so...not cool. Once we were seated though, the service was pretty prompt. Our waitress seemed annoyed though...no smiles, very short, tapped her pen to paper like...'hurry up' when my daughter was undecided (my daughter also speaks soft and she was a tad bit slow but not snail slow...just undecided slow) She even tried to finish my daughter's sentence. My daughter says, "instead of eggs can I haaaave (while she looked at options for breakfast sides)..." and the waitress goes..."MILLION DOLLAR BACON??" My daughter corrected her, "potatoes" and the waitress simply scribbled it down and walked off in a huff! Don't get me wrong...I'm not the type of person who EXPECTS conversation and lighthearted laughs from my waitress. However, I am completely capable of spotting the difference between a waitress that just isn't talkative vs one that just doesn't want to be bothered and she was clearly the latter. It really truly dampens the mood of everyone at the table when the staff comes across as bothered. We all have our bad days and we all need a mental health day or moment and that doesn't go amiss with me. So with that being said, I'll leave it at that. Hopefully management staff also understands this. Overall, food was good...honestly...my potatoes were fully cooked this time. At this location, I've gone a handful of times and the potatoes are ALWAYS hard and undercooked. Today they were perfect!!! I hope it stays that way. read more

Welcome to West Pines, First Watch! Situated in the new plaza on the corner of Pines Blvd & Dykes Rd, they are one of the first few businesses open so far. I know when this plaza is fully open, it'll be more busy than the other First Watch location further East on Pines Blvd by the mall. I dropped by to pick up some breakfast and lunch to-go. The inside is beautiful and pretty spacious with tables, booths, and even a bar you can dine at. This location doesn't have any outdoor dining. I ordered my usual- the Frittata Rustica & Pesto Chicken Quinoa Bowl. Unfortunately, they did forget the pesto sauce, which is a recurring problem at all First Watches whenever I order this bowl to-go. You can tell their staff is new and still learning but their service was great and speedy. They have some new items on the menu including the Purple Haze drink. If there's a drink with butterfly pea flower tea, count me in. This has that, lemon, cane sugar, and a hint of lavender. The butterfly pea flower tea gives it that purple color and the lemon helps add a good acidity to it. Make sure to mix the drink before taking a sip or else you might get all the sugar/syrup giving you a jolt of sweetness. I'm sure this spot will bring large crowds but still excited to come for breakfast every now and then. read more

Tuesday morning with the wife found a good choice of seating in the brightly lit, clean, though slightly echoing dining room. Booths aplenty for those preferring them. Server demonstrated superhero level compensation for the kitchen's twice bungled order...so fast we never skipped a beat and a non-issue. COME FOR THE FOOD!!! The reasonably priced entrees ($12-$14 for most) are excellent examples of the breakfast you deserve. Tender, fluffy waffles are offered on a surprising number of combination plates. I've never seen so many standard mix and match possibilities that other breakfast cafes try to make you order a la carte or otherwise over-order to get the combo you desire. Downsides? The sausage may use fillers (but was still delicious!) and the ambience is, well, lively (read: noisy). You still won't keep me away from this little gem. read more

No matter where you go, first watch is solid! Lol. This is the new go to spot for breakfast. I'd like to speak more on their Million Dollar Bacon which is addictive, truly, the sweetness to it just gets me everytime & their chicken sausage patty *drools* best thing poppin. I didn't get their blueberry muffin, but I guarantee you won't regret it, I've had it before. I love how big their pancakes are, I could get one for my kid and they can split it, but they're so tasty , they each need their own ! Lol. They're purple haze drink is AMAZING! maybe get lite ice because it can get watered down quickly while you're enjoying your delicious meal, I like saving the best for last, so you know. Took 20 minutes to be greeted by our server just for her to set a pot of coffee on the table (we didn't want coffee) and leave saying she'd be right back. 5 minutes later comes back with water for 2 of us (there are 5 of us). 10 minutes later comes by with the rest of our waters and to take our order even though we were ready during the first 20 minutes that we were waiting before even being greeted. Service was just so so so bad that maybe this was this person's first time ever having a job bad. Then the kitchen also must've been backed up because our food took another 45 minutes to come out. My eggs on my eggs Benedict were cooked all the way through--I've never been served poached eggs that were hard boiled. The only consolation is that they comped my dish when they saw the state of my eggs and knew how long we'd been waiting.
