Worst First Watch experience ever. Took 20 minutes to be greeted by our server just for her to set a pot of coffee on the table (we didn't want coffee) and leave saying she'd be right back. 5 minutes later comes back with water for 2 of us (there are 5 of us). 10 minutes later comes by with the rest of our waters and to take our order even though we were ready during the first 20 minutes that we were waiting before even being greeted. Service was just so so so bad that maybe this was this person's first time ever having a job bad. Then the kitchen also must've been backed up because our food took another 45 minutes to come out. My eggs on my eggs Benedict were cooked all the way through--I've never been served poached eggs that were hard boiled. The only consolation is that they comped my dish when they saw the state of my eggs and knew how long we'd been waiting. I'd only recommend this place if you have 3 hours to spare and unlimited patience. read more

I have never went to the one in Pembroke Pines. This one is relatively new and I was surprised when I saw it only had 3 stars. Inside it is a very nice layout. They have a breakfast bar that you can sit at if you want. All the tables are wooden. It was a great vibe. The waitress was fantastic. She continually checked in on my wife and I. She notices I liked onions and brought me more without asking. Regarding food, I always get the same thing. I get the chicken pesto power bowl with two egg over easy on top. Finally another First Watch in the W. Pines area! The one by Flamingo is always packed, I expect this one to be the same once word gets out this location is finally open. Service is friendly and I love that it has healthy options. I opted for the 2 For You Lunch Special as I was craving salad and a sandwich and First Watch did not disappoint. Cobb salad was fresh and they were nice enough to put the dressing on the side so the salad doesn't get soggy (this was a take out meal). 4th attempt going and will not be returning. Unfortunately, rather drive further east to the one closer to the mall. Last attempt went for lunch there it was fairly empty. We waited more than 15 minutes didn't even get water. Had to flag the manager down to ask who are server was and he stated, "I don't know let me find out." Didn't even have the decency to at least get us waters. I won't go any further because I'm not even wasting my time on the food review. This location for some reason has poor service and the food is not good. The one on East pines has much better service and better prepared meals. read more

This is a BRAND NEW location right by the new plaza near Costco and I have to say it hits the spot for a nice breakfast. They are usually consistently busy so there might be a small wait but the staff do their best to get you seated. The food was delicious and the space is nicely decorated. The only thing is that they were out of a few items which is expected when a place is busy and with how busy they are, sometimes the waitresses can be a little overwhelmed. Came by to catch some breakfast in Pembroke Pines and this place always hits the spot. They always have an interesting seasonal menu so I'm always quick to jump on something from there. This time I had the opportunity to try the cinnamon chip pancakes with eggs and chicken sausage. The pancakes were to die for. Super fluffy and the cinnamon chips definitely gave it a unique and holiday taste. As far as the drink I always go with their iced coffee. It's always a perfect combination of coffee, ice, and milk. Has a lovely brunch experience this afternoon! The pomegranate sunrise cocktail was a deliciously balanced beverage and nit stingy on the tequila. For food we chose the barbacoa burrito and lemon ricotta pancakes to share with a million dollar bacon starter. All were fresh and tasty, the burrito was mammoth in proportion and the pancakes dinner plate sized and cooked perfectly. The lemon curd on the pancakes was luscious and well balanced. Update: the mgr reached out to my wife to offer some gift cards to retry the restaurant. But the kicker is we can't use them since it'll be a very long time before we ever trust eating inside any restaurant - especially here in FL. I have a serious med issue and it's not worth eating in. So the gift cards are useless to us. Nice gesture but poorly executed. Next failure was my birthday promo. The code was not accepted for my online order so tried to call it in. The girl who answered was impatient, tersely said it's only good for dining in. I tried to say that the promo does not specify dining in only, but she hung up before I had a chance. I complained by email and then got a reply saying that the promo is good for dine in or take out. They offered a replacement promo but it never came. This is ridiculous! I've been to first watch before and I know everything is made to order. Sometimes there is a wait at the locations i've been to but that wait is usually when they are very busy. It's not even busy here! How is it that families NOT just 1 or 2 people that arrived after us get their meals before us? Then, when I ask I am told their cooks don't know how to read the order system and don't know which orders are first? Come on! Definitely reaching out to corporate for this one because this means poor training going on at this location. read more

Second visit from two months ago. Some improvement in counter service but still lacking. Food wise shrimp and grits were decent with tomato gravy. To release andouille sausage flavor requires a minimal char in separately pan frying the sausage slices and then adding to grits. Juices and cocktails are always on point. People were friendly enough but the food was very cold. I asked her to warm it up but they have no microwave so they made it for me again. Well, 20 minutes later and still no food. I finally got it and now the pancakes are cold. Ridiculous. I blame this on the management team. Their processes here are lacking and everyone is complaining. Just read the reviews. First Watch is one of my favorite places to go to for breakfast or lunch however their "cut your time in half" advertisement needs to be put down. I added myself online at 12:15PM and now being seated at 1:49PM... online the waitlist said 45 minutes for wait time. The wait time is ridiculous and basically all the employees say the online check in doesn't correlate to the wait time in the restaurant, meaning the online waitlist doesn't consider how backed up the chef's are or how long people are sitting down to eat. Of course, since time isn't determined people still wait and thank god the food is good cause the His esa would be lacking if it wasn't for it. The waitlist approach really need to gets fixed. The best bet is to call in before even considering to come to see how accurate the wait time is. read more

Food: I usually love every item in the First watch restaurants. I ordered the chikichanga which was a bit disappointing. Every bite was like a salt load and per the description it's supposed to have avocados which mine came with a tiny half slice. Couldn't take anything past the salt. Even the house potatoes were salty. Next time I'll stick to their other staple items like the avocado toast and pancakes. Drinks: They offer brunch cocktails but we arrived before 11am which is the time they can start serving any alcohol per Pembroke Pines law. The juices are pretty good just wish had less ice. Coffee is always safe. Service: Slow is an understatement. Definitely expect to wait or have to wave down the waitstaff after being ignored for 20 mins which was a common theme I kept seeing in reviews (after the fact that we came here). Took more than 45 mins after seating to get our food and never received water despite asking 3 times for it. The bill came out very quickly even though we didn't ask for it. Not once did anyone check in on us. Not sure if it's the staff shortage or just the outdoor seating service is terrible. Might just not risk it next time. Vibes: Nice and clean since it's a brand new location. Cute outdoor seating, but wouldn't recommend it if you want to be ignored. Overall, not recommended due to the very slow service. Disgusting, unfortunately I found hairs, not one but many, on my food today for the first time in my life at this firstwatch!! I hate writing this because I've been eating at other firstwatchs for years and I love them, but this is just disgusting, unsanitary, sad, and so upsetting!! And this even was at a slower hour at end of day so you'd think they'd have more time to do things with care. Even the restroom and the kitchen that you could see walking from a far were a total mess! I cant imagine from upclose! Okay, so this location is fairly new. Opened for about a month or so. It's a great chain location, west of I-75 in Pembroke Pines. The food is amazing, the natural fresh squeezed drinks are amazing. They have brunch cocktails which start at 11am. My wife and I walked in with no reservations, waited about ten minutes to be seated at a table which was expected, not that long. Once seated, we waited quite a long time, approximately 18 minutes for someone to acknowledge us (after we waived to the staff member). Staff member was less than thrilled to have another table. I totally understand there's staff shortages everywhere now but that being said, it's pretty bad to be served here. Asked for water, which we still haven't received it yet as I'm writing this review. It's been 48 minutes and no one has come and checked on us. Sadly, I hate leaving one or two star reviews for locations that I really like. But if you, don't mind the wait and lack of service then this location is for you. So the food finally arrived 52 minutes later, just about my wife and I were about to leave. The clientele will continue to come here regardless of the reviews and lack of service which is why management probably won't address these issues.
