We know they can get busy,so we did an on-line call ahead as instructed,we did the call ahead 30 minutes on advance. We'll, either everyone else standing around outside had done the on-line thing, or it means nothing. Because EVERY person outside was taken before us. I asked the cashier when we would be called, and she said:OH-SOON. 10 minutes later we were seated. Our server ran by and said she would be with us SOON. Another 20 min we were given water. 10 min after that we got coffee. Another 15 min, our order was taken. We were near the area where the carry out bags were placed. Bag after bad was placed in that area, while VERY little food was taken to the tables of thd other diners. At one point we counted ~ 12 bags of in a row taken from the kitchen and put in the food delivery - carry out area. It had now been an hour since we ordered. They were obviously giving carry out preferences over in-person dining. We asked our server when our food would come out, and she said SOON. 15 minutes later 2 of our dishes came out.another 10 minutes later 2 more.and so on till finally everyone was served. Some of the dishes were wrong, but at this point we were hesitant to send anything back, for fear another hour spent in the restaurant. THEN THE ULTIMATE-we asked the cashier if 3 of us could split the check.NO PROBLEM she claimed. We proceeded to put a different credit card in when she told us to. Figuring it possibly wasn't all the servers fault, we each put a 20% ltip on each transaction. BUT the final bill was 60% higher than it should have been. We asked the cashier how that was possible and she just shrugged. We asked for the manager. We were told she was busy. We said we would wait, and stepped aside. When the manager came by, she tried to tell the cashier what to do. Finally the MGR told the cashier to step aside, reversed the charges and fixed the problem. Found this place when in Maryland for a wedding. We used the wait app on our phone and got seated within 10 minutes, even though the place was packed. Today was our first time visiting and definitely our last. Upon walking in I was super excited to try this place. The atmosphere is so cute and the food looked so good. After sitting down our server tells us that she is new which is awesome because we were one of her first tables. After placing our order, another waiter comes up to tell us that they are moving us to a smaller table as they are having a larger party come. The waiter did not communicate this to our previous waitress. I didn't receive anything to drink until AFTER receiving my food from another waitress. I didn't get any syrup with my waffle until I was halfway finished and then when it was time for the bill to come they had completely forgotten us. Honestly really disappointed. The food was 6.5/10 and wewill definitely not be back. Update- someone from corporate reached out and sent me a gift card to try them again. The food was good but the service was still pretty rough. I'm only updated to give an extra star because of how corporate handled it. The staff here needs a rerun on customer service. We waited for our bill for over 15 minutes while our server was worried about closing the restaurant. We had asked another server to grab our bill for us and waited an extra 5 minutes. Well that was delicious. And fun. We showed up to a 30-40 min wait, and were offered to sit at the 'community table' to get in faster; it's a FCFS tabletop of 6. Our party of 4 sat next to 2 parties of 2 and together, we had a fun conversation getting to know one another. I split the lemon and ricotta pancakes and the farmhouse hash w my daughter. First thing's first, this place IMO isn't that easy to access or spot from Reisterstown Road. I believe you turn on Old Court Road, and it is in a small shopping center that has about three or four other spots. I will say it is the largest store in the shopping are. Parking was tight, and once I entered First Watch, I knew why. Even at lunch, this place was PACKED! I just assumed it was a breakfast spot, but I guess I was wrong. On this date, I tried the half sandwich/salad deal. The sandwich I tried was the Monterey Club, and the Sante Fe Salad. The sandwich consisted of turkey, bacon, cheddar, avocado, on a multigrain bread. The salad had a spring mix with chicken, tomato, avocado, and ciabatta croutons. Upon first glance, I was totally thrilled as both the salad and sandwich were hearty, much more than one would receive from a similar deal from a popular chain. This location is best when they first open in the morning. If you go after 9, it gets busy. My family started going to cracker barrel in Lithicum instead even though we live in Pikesville. But today, I was trying to save time by staying local when I decided to take my 4 year old to breakfast on a rainy Monday morning. We were seated immediately but the hostess was gone before I noticed she didnt leave a kids menu with crayons. If I knew we'd have such a long wait, I would've went back up front to ask for one. I'm not a fan of flagging down busy servers before I know who's section I'm in. After nearly 10 minutes of no server, a server who had been by our table several times asked if anyone had served us. It turned out she was our server. I said no one had even said hello. Her response was "hi". No apology offered. If my child would not have been terribly disappointed, I would've left. I don't know if maybe we weren't originally her table but she was wrapping up with the people directly beside us and never even acknowledged us that whole time we were sitting there. Anyway, she still delayed taking our order by asking for drink orders and saying she'd be right back. Even after she brought the drinks, she said she'd be right back and still did not take our order. Maybe the kitchen was understaffed, but they need to say that instead of giving poor service. We were obviously ready to order since we'd been sitting there so long. When the food came, the young lady who brought the food said they were still working on the toast. It's toast! It never came. When I told our server about it, she offered a few toppings and I said just butter is fine. I had told her about my strawberry allergy when I ordered. She brought it back buttered with a side of a fruit jam that she thought might be raspberry or strawberry,smh. Otherwise, we enjoyed the French toast, pork links, eggs and toast. The potatoes are just okay and terrible when reheated later. The server was nice when interacting with us but I can't help but wonder where the niceness was when she was ignoring us. I should've spoken to the manager about it but was rushing around seeming to be overwhemedstress. He had me insert my card to pay and then took off to seat a party before giving me a receipt. I just left. My advice is to put up a sign asking people to bear with you if you're shortstaffed and tell your staff to greet people when they are seated even if you aren't able to do much more than that at the time. I've been visiting this location for a while, even before they revamped their current restaurant. I've eaten in about 3 times but my orders are primarily take out. Their food is good and has such a unique flair to it which is why I return, but with a cost... I hope a manager is reading this. Their downfall comes to their take out orders. I NEVER and I repeat NEVER step foot out of that place until I open up those bags (which they now close with a label?) to check that each and every food item is done correctly or in the bag. They are notorious for messing up our take out orders. I know it cannot just be us, because one time a waitress mentioned to me she tells the patrons to check their bags, otherwise they call frustrated that their order was wrong or missing something. They REALLY need to do something about this. If they are not doing it already, perhaps they should have someone else check the bags for accuracy. If someone is already checking the bags for accuracy then they are NOT doing a good job. My goal is never to be difficult, but I want to get what I pay for. If your online photos show freshly made pancakes then that's what I want. Herein is where the problem lies. Now that they are taking online orders it shouldn't be that hard, right? No middle man taking orders. Recently, in my online description I asked for four 'whipped' scrambled eggs (because their definition of scrambled eggs is really a fried yoke egg). My previous visit the hostess recommended I ask for whipped scrambled eggs since I kept receiving the same fried eggs. What happens? I receive fried yoke eggs again. I asked for 10 pieces of regular bacon and received 8 almost half burnt pieces. Our chocolate chip pancake was broken in half and the edges look jagged and half burnt. I sent it all back to the kitchen reiterating it should be 4 scrambled eggs. The hostess/waitress who assisted did not appear as though she was eager to remedy the situation, but more like she didn't understand what the big deal was - I read vibes. She returns with 2 whipped scrambled eggs. Great, but, I again have to tell her that it should be 4 and not 2. She has to return to the kitchen to tell the cook she didn't know it was 4 I wanted (not true) can they make 2 more? Each time they mess up my order I have to send the items back to the kitchen and stand there and wait additionally. It is super annoying. Why must it be so hard? Do they think I enjoy sending food back and waiting? I've got better things to do. Now it has me looking like I'm a difficult customer. The cooks are looking over to see who this customer is. I wouldn't be surprised if they talk about me when I leave. But, I try to keep it as polite as possible when I am really seething underneath. I can only imagine how frustrating it is for the cook. After my debacle, I race out of there to get home and discover that for the 20 cartons of food we have, there is not one single utensil in our bag, no syrup, no butter, not even jelly...smh read more

I ordered fresh fruit ($3.99) and received a condiment container size of fruit. Literally the same size that the ketchup came in. RIDICULOUS. When I called the store and asked to speak to a manager, I was told "oh I see your order. Door dash messed that up. Call them they will take care of it." At this point I don't know why I gave them 2 stars smh...1.5 stars at best - maybe because I was really hungry and finished my food despite the lack of taste.
