This was my first time eating here and the experience here was not what i expected , at the time there was a wait and we waited 10-15 . We got sat and our serve took a while to come greet us and after we got our food i didnt get the sides i wanted and wouldn't even get the chance to ask my waiter for what i was missing because shed just leave the food and not come back til the very end to GIVE US OUR bill !! 1st and certainly not my last time here. I loved the sourdough French toast & they have the BEST turkey sausage! I'm Not sure how it's possible to have such tasty turkey sausage lol. Wait time was about 20 mins :-/ but after I got my food I quickly forgot how long the wait was!! Food was amazing!!!! Big portions and very flavorful! I can't remember my waitress' name but she was a very sweet young girl. Brought my hot tea and yogurt with fruit right away. No complaints. A little pricey so make sure u come prepared lol. Yummy healthy choices without the guilt! Definitely a great breakfast spot. Had a multigrain cake with the banana granola infusion. Very good! Multiple creamer choices for coffee including hazelnut, French vanilla, and half and half. Hubby had the Bacado omelette- said it was good. Kiddo had the chocolate chip multigrain kids cake. The food here is consistently good. There is something on the menu to please everyone. Plenty of vegetarian options.The pancakes are AMAZING, my favorite are the Cranberry Nut ones. I love that you can just get one pancake if you want, it's perfect for someone like me who wants an omelet AND pancakes and can never make up my mind. There is usually a long wait on weekends during brunch hours so be prepared to wait 15-30 minutes on average. It does tend to get pretty loud in there. Sometimes I switch things up and get lunch food and it's pretty solid too. The Tomato soup is fantastic. If your order tea, they bring you a variety of teas to choose from, black, to early gray to a few different greens and a couple of herbals. The service is always great, no matter how busy they are, I've never felt like I was being rushed. Took off a star because I'm just not a fan of their coffee, it always tastes burnt to me. read more

It was aight.... There aren't very many healthy places to eat at in Baltimore. If you're looking for that, try Atwaters on Falls Rd or in Kenilworth in Towson. While it could be a bit pricey depending on what you order, all of the ingredients are fresh, locally sourced, and homemade (including their amazing ice cream sundaes. It's worth the money.) Truthfully, the cost of two meals here was about the same as it would have been at Atwaters, but in terms of quality, you definitely get more for your money there. Back to FirstWatch- The serving size is actually proportional (read: I wasn't sure if I was in an American restaurant.) The ingredients were disappointing to me because I like to eat healthy and I wish they didn't have an open kitchen so that I didn't have to see what they cook with. You'll probably enjoy it though! The cook consistently cannot make over medium eggs, which means when you send them back the rest of your food is cold, I think one time they put lemon pepper on the hash browns which was disgusting. I decided that I will not give First Watch another try because the only thing good are the prepackaged hazelnut coffee creamers. read more

We have been going to this location for years and have never had an issue. Food is great. But lately the service has been slower then normal with today being terrible. The wait for our food (along with others around us) seemed to be much longer then in the past. Then once our food came out, they pretty much completely forgot to make the one breakfast dish. by the time the waitress walked by for the 3rd/4th time she asked how our meal was and said the one dish never came out. UPDATE: Received a gift certificate from management with request that we give First Watch another go. Have to say that management was responsive to my Yelp post. My next visit was great....both food and service. Me and my husband's 1st visit to First Watch will probably be our last. I ordered the Turkey burger. It was delicious until about the 5th bite I hear a loud crack in my mouth. I spit out the contents of my mouth only to reveal a hard piece of plastic in my burger. I dread the thought of where that plastic came from. Our waitress was very courteous and expedient with trying to rectify the issue. She came back to the table advising that she spoke to the manager and would take my food off the bill and give me a fresh meal. My issue is that 10 minutes went by and the manager had not come to the table to offer an apology and comp the meal. That message should have come from management not the wait staff. I had to request for the manager to come to the table. After another 10 minute wait, the manager finally came carrying my replacement turkey burger. He didnt offer any apology at all but simply stated that he would not make any excuses. He said he would comp my burger only. I shared with him that this was our FIRST visit to 1st watch and the first impression is a lasting one. After a quick back and forth, he finally agreed to comp our entire meal. That should have been his initial resolution as a manager for such a disastrous dining experience. Only reason this review is 2stars is because my husband's roast beef and havarti sandwich was absolutely delicious. read more

I happened to be at first watch today around 1030 am. I over heard some customers talking about yelp. So for some reason tonight, I got online to review what yelp is about. I really like this site. So I go to First Watch reviews and see the most recent reviews on them. I have been going here since the place opened and it's great. Never ever had bad experience. I just read ann c, joe p, and marie b reviews. I totally disagree with each of them and would love to hear the other side of the service. They must by very picky and anal. The staff here does their best and its people like you 3 who try to down grade their efforts with these false reviews. Funny all reviews on same day. read more

Let's start off by saying I have been visiting the Pikesville location for years. Even before the renovations. Today was a horrible experience. The manager was not there today. We ordered the traditional breakfast. First of all the eggs had a hair in it and the bacon was cold. The guy took and and brought it right back. It seems like they took of the piece with the hair and then moved all the cold food over to a new plate. When we told the guy, he was like I'm sorry. Then took $2 dollars off. The only thing that was eaten was the potatoes. When we walked up to cash out and asked for the manager, the lady at the register stated she was the manager. My husband had the Chickichanga and I had the Turkey, Biscuit, and Eggs. There were so many options it was hard to pick, it all sounded so good. I want here on Sunday and it was quit crowded so I expected a bit of a delay. After my party of 3 was sitted it took 15 min to get water and a coffee. An additional 45 mins to get 2 dish (which was cold) and 1 dish that had non order ingredient in the dish. When discussing this with the manager, he just give a gift card and left. I would suggest going to the Columbia location for better service. read more
