This place is in the cut which i like. Makes me feel like its kinda like a secret place lol. Came in around 10 on a tuesday was greeted and seated fast. Low country music was playing and then my boys Hall and Oats and others. Waitress was hella nice and cool. Cant remember her name but she had braces. Sorta lively place and bathroom was clean. I ordered the Power Wrap which consist of egg whites, turkey, spinich, roasted crimini mushrooms, and mozzarella in a tomatoe basil wrap which was served with a fruit bowl of watermelon, melon and grapes. Along side was pico de gallo. I recommend ordering extra pico cause it taste soo good with the wrap which was tasty healthy and filling enough for lunch. 580 calories and cost 9.49. Menu looks good. We showed up around 11am on New Years Day, fully expecting a 30 minute to be seated. To our surprise we were given a table right away! (Guess people were still recovering from the nights festivities at 11am...) Our server was so sweet, wishing us a happy New Years and pretending she didn't notice what a disheveled mess we were ;) , plus she even cleared up some misconceptions we had about the terminology when it comes to an eggs doneness-- thanks for that impromptu lesson! I went with their Eggs Benedict with smoked turkey and avocado, while my boy got the Parma Hash with goat cheese instead of mozzarella. First off.. portions were wonderful! Neither of us could finish our plate, but in serious hunger mode we probably could have-- there if you need it, and just a bit much if ya don't! Aside from that the food was delicious. My Benedict had a bit too much smoked turkey layered under it for my taste, but I will never complain about too much of something. The Parma Hash was also amazing: two fried eggs atop a hash of seasoned potatoes, sausage, mushrooms, onions and tomatoes with a dollop of herbed goat cheese on top. DE-LI-CI-OUS! Getting a bomb breakfast (or lunch) will set you back only 10 bucks a person (WOW), and for some dishes that's if you include coffee or OJ. This is my favorite breakfast place! When I come here its like I am home! The waitress are the best and the food is always like I like it quick and tasty! I came here for my birthday and the service I received was outstanding!! I usually come in for my regular which is a trifecta. On my birthday I decided to switch it up and try their lunch menu. I tried their tuna sandwich, which was really good. As I was talking a bite and thinking to myself hmm i wonder how the chicken salad would taste the waitress just pop up with a little sample of it!! My love for this place is simple. Aside from the ceaselessly great wait staff and owner, free wifi and decent coffee, First Watch fills a hole in my heart. I believe this is a hole we all share: the need for a neighborhood greasy spoon diner. Not just Denny's or iHop - one where you feel like a Local. (And are not grossed out by the kitchen nor suspicious of personnel.) They have the classics (omelets, french toast, eggs benedict, ruebens) and some fun twists (fresh fruit options that are more than a wilted afterthought for an example). They don't judge you if you're 25, sitting alone, distressingly hungover and working furiously. They don't rush you off a table - not even when the place is busy with families or the early bird rush. I see all the mixed reviews about this little place and I get it. It's nothing "special." Just a cleaner-than-normal hole in the wall where they make your eggs right, smile and leave you to inhale your well-made pancakes or crepes or whatever and people watch. The place either needs to come grips that it is not using fresh high quality ingredients or just go away:( Lower your expectations. Stopped in here for breakfast before our errands yesterday, pretty much your average diner-like experience with a "healthy" facade. We showed up around 10am, it was already quite busy and we had about a 10 minute wait. We've been to another First Watch in the area, so the menu and experience were pretty familiar. Our waitress was prompt, took our orders quickly, and then rushed off to her other tables. Our food probably only took 10 minutes to arrive, which is great for how busy they were. They even let me swap out my meat for a fruit cup, which was greatly appreciated. Overall though, nothing overly wowing about this experience. Our table was still wet from being cleaned when we were seated, the straw I was given for my tea looked like it had been in someone's pocket for a year, and my over-easy eggs were kind of greasy... Small things like that detract from an otherwise good experience. read more

It's just right) - Eggs, first of all, are fresh. Secondly, they're always cooked to perfection. It's not often when you find a place that can execute a perfectly cooked Over Medium egg. I order them every time we go, and every time they are perfect, so I know it's not a fluke. - Fresh Juice bar. While searching google for breakfast/brunch spots, I ran across First Watch. The reviews were good so I decided to check it out. I was determined to order to go being that I read that the wait times could be unusually long. I was disappointed that I had to wait over 10+ minutes to order to go. As patrons arrived at the register, the cashier decided to take their money rather than my order. Finally someone else came and took the order in which I ordered the pecan pancakes-pork sausage-scrambled eggs with cheese. I must say that the food was great. The pancakes are enormous and one should get the job done. I will be back, but hope this time that the customer service is better. read more

I'm use to the one located in laurel md however this location was not bad but not the best. We waited almost 30 mins for our food, the food was close to room temperature (not hot), the server was not as friendly and open like the other servers I've observed, and they didn't have somethings far as to drink like the laurel location. Our waitress disappeared had to get my own silverware and box for my left overs. I was looking around the restaurant and no one had food, just drinks. The waitress had the nerve to ask my party to move to another table to sit another party!! The party next to us ended up leaving because their food was taking so long and there was no communication from the waitress as to why. I would suggest not to come too hungry though because the wait for seating was a tad long however it was well worth the wait!! I loved this place with 1 drawback: half of my food was lukewarm. I'll definitely go back because I believe in second chances and everything else I had was AMAZING! Make sure you get there early because they close at 2:30. The pancakes are big but I've had bigger. Make sure to check out the seasonal pancake flavors - I had pumpkins and was super happy but they also have carrot cake year round. My Florentine eggs Benedict was lukewarm, which was disappointing. It was still good but would have been better hot. The potatoes that came with my meal were yummy! Staff was super friendly, even the servers that weren't waiting on us. The manager was great too! I was disappointed by both the food and the service at this restaurant. Nothing I ate actually tasted very good. I ordered the Floridian French Toast and a regular coffee, but the coffee never arrived even though I asked about it politely. Another member of my party repeatedly asked for peanut butter for his English muffin and never got any. The French toast was presented beautifully with slices of kiwi and strawberry, but came without any syrup. Instead, it was accompanied by a raspberry flavored jam that was so shockingly acidic and sugary that it made the actual toast seem bland by comparison. It was dry and vaguely egg-flavored: extremely unsatisfying! There was none of the fluffiness and sumptuousness I had been hoping for. This was honestly the worst tasting French toast I've ever had in my life. I made better French toast as a 10 year old. In addition to the poor service and unsatisfactory food, this restaurant was so crowded and loud that I could barely hear the people sitting across from me at my table! They wouldn't give me my birthday free entree. They emailed me a coupon but because I didn't print it out, they wouldn't honor it. I don't understand why anyone would require wasting resources so they can honor a free meal (that they advertised and promised me a month prior when they asked for my information so I could get the free meal). I had it in my email and showed them, but it was rejected because it wasn't printed out. Very unprofessional and wasteful. You can see into the kitchen and everything comes from generic canned and packaged goods. It's a bit on the expensive side for what it is vs what it is trying to be. For what it costs, I would rather it taste less processed. I would even spend a little bit more knowing it was from some semblance of fresh or scratch ingredients and not generic canned foods. In the end the food is just okay, it's arguably better quality than a Denny's or an IHOP, but you can get something better (and cheaper) from Panera or Jason's Deli (with less waiting). If you want a home-y and comfort meal, maybe check out Martha and Mary up near Main St. instead. It's just a better alternative for diner food. read more

This was my first time at first watch and it was a lovely experience. Me and my aunt sat at the community table in the front with a few people we knew from church who happened to be there as well. Our server, Mary, was incredibly personable and efficient. Our group happened to arrive during one of the most busy times and it resulted in a very long wait (A little more than half an hour) but when we did get out food, it was really good. I got the short rib benedict, which was excellent except for the fact that the poached egg was not runny at all, which really rubbed me the wrong way. I love this place. I went there this morning for my final birthday week breakfast (birthday was yesterday). I had a coupon for a free entree for my birthday. But I ended up paying 13 (plus tip) out of pocket anyway because I wanted a blockbuster birthday breakfast: their juice special, potatoes, fruit salad, and The Trifecta. Everything was delicious. The only sad face was the grapes in the fruit salad (allergic to grapes), but I picked those out, rinsed and dried the other fruit (had to because hives), and popped some antihistamines on my way back home to enjoy the rest of my Saturday watching The Walking Dead marathon. The whole family loves this place. We have been here a few times but it was recently renovated and it looks even better. It accommodates more people now. Onto the food now. My spouse and I tend to order from the seasonal menu and are rarely disappointed. I have also ordered things off their regular menu too which have also been delicious i.e. multigrain pancakes and tri-athlete. The only con I have is that my eggs have been over cooked 50% of the time. For example if my food comes with a poached egg I expect it to be cooked until the whites are cooked but egg still yolky. At times I have had soft boiled eggs. The kids menu is great too. Something for everyone. An awesome feature now through yelp is to place yourself on the waitlist.
