My my My.......Mmmmmmmh Myyyyy! :-) This restaurant is a gem. I love the chalk on the blackboards! Not only is it inviting and easy read but beautiful to look at. Now, I must say the metal along the bottom part of the walls are a turn off. It makes it look weird. As rust has settled in parts of the restaurant (randomly) and I didn't really want to touch it with my arm. Anywho, the food and drinks were served quickly. I ordered biscuits in Turkey Sausage gravy with scrambled eggs& cheddar cheese, and seasoned home fries. Let's get into it! The best part of the meal was the biscuits in gravy. Myyyyyy Lawwwwd......it was perfect! My mouth was singing praises at the first bite.the biscuit was buttery, soft, flaky and just down right delicious. I kept eating til there was no more. The eggs...ehhh! I ordered scrambled hard with black pepper and cheddar cheese. It lacked the black pepper. But there's a black pepper grinder on the table. It did the job....I guess. The other dishes were talked about also! My Mom loved the pickled onions paired with the avocado and crab meat. My son loved the French toast, sausage (a little spicy but tasty) and a scrambled egg with cheese. He ate every last drop. My plate was thee only one with food on it. Ohhhhh, I almost forgot! I ordered the pomegranate sunrise and my my my....it gave everything! I needed that delicious cocktail .

First visit to this location. Arrived a little after 11 am on a weekday. Minimal wait to be seated. The menu includes breakfast and lunch specialty items. After checking out lots of menu choices I went with the roast beef sandwich and substituted grits for my side. After a short wait, my meal was brought to the table. The grits were good. Not the best I've ever had, but good. Liked the flavor of the roast beef sandwich. Server was efficent and friendly.

Love! My friend and I went here for breakfast Saturday morning and it was so good! I love the ambience. They managed the wait list really well. Didn't take long to be seated. I tried their morning meditation juice and it was phenomenal! I got the avocado toast and fruit and also wasn't disappointed. I would definitely go back. They kept filling our coffee and we didn't have to ask once, which was awesome.

I'm not sure where to start. I eat at the first watch on Glenwood all the time and have not had any problems! This was the worst experience I've ever had at a first watch. It took about 25 minutes for us to get our food, which is very abnormal. When we did get our food as you can see from my picture, it was insufficient. A half piece of toast and one egg for $12 doesn't suffice. Not to mention the waiter dumped a whole glass of water on my daughter and barely apologized. He did bring extra eggs because of my complaint but we had already finished eating. My daughter's pancake was cold as was her eggs. I would've thought the waiter would've offered some kind of concession because he dumped the water all over my daughter, but he did not. All this to say we will never go back to the first watch on Capital blvd. .

We were here for Mother's Day, which is to say one of the busily days they have. First off I give great kudos to the management and staff for handling this crazy crowd! Yes, there was a wait and yes it was loud and crazy! The food was good, the mimosas flowed and we had a great time. I do recommend giving them a try on a normal day, not a holiday if you want a less hectic experience for your first visit but do try them. Great menu selection!

I have been hearing great reviews about this restaurant so I decided to try it today. There is an option to join the waiting list through the Yelp app to save time. I did not use this feature so we had to wait for about ten minutes to get a table on a Saturday afternoon. Once we were seated our server, Autumn, came by a short time later. The restaurant is decorated with colorful modern decor and has tables and booth to sit in. I ordered the smoked salmon & roasted vegetable frittata. The frittata is typically served with a salad and cibatta toast but I substituted the salad and bread and got the potatoes with gluten free toast. I also ordered a side of bacon. I was brought over a side of regular bacon but I wanted to try the signature million dollar bacon that i had heard so much about. A new order of bacon was brought out quickly. The bacon was good but basic okay just tasted like bacon with syrup on it. We didn't taste the brown sugar, pepper or the cayenne. The frittata was combination was great and the chive cream drizzle meshed perfectly with the flavors. The salmon was fresh and the potatoes were good but a few of them were not cooked completely. My friend got the traditional breakfast with is sever with eggs, toast, toast, and they got ham as their meat. Our server was friendly and answered all of our questions. She was also very attentive. I would definitely return on day!

We had a lovely brunch today. The service was great, the tables are spaced apart and the restaurant is light and airy. I had the tri-athlete and it was delicious. Filling and healthy. The fruit cup was amazing, fresh and nice size pieces . All in all a great meal.

It tasted so good I had to go twice!! I love that I can add myself in a waiting list prior to me getting there. Tried new things and it was great!!! The waffle was light and fluffy!! I had placed my order online for pickup: 2 sandwiches, omelet & bacon + tip for $45.00. I would say I'm highly disappointed especially when this is how empty my sandwich came out (I only took out the tomato because I ended with the end portion)

Deeeelicious! We popped by here solely based on the fact we were hungry, in the area and had great reviews. So happy we came! It was jumpin but we were seated within 5 minutes when we were told it would be 20. Tons of options on the menu from fresh juices, to creative breakfast dishes and sandwiches. Oh did I mention seasonal favorites too?! So much goodness. We tried the following: Kale tonic- freshly made, healthy deliciousness that was not overly kaley or overly sweet. Pumpkin donut holes- the bomb! Just the right amount of sweetness served warm with a light dusting of cinnamon sugar served with two sauces. Truffle mushroom hash- tasty!! Loaded with mushrooms, onions, bacon, cheese, potatoes and eggs topped with arugula and the light parm cream sauce and truffle oil. Only thing I added was hot sauce because why not! So good. Farmhouse skillet with a side of bacon- another tasty scramble served with freshly fruit and some delicious soft yet perfectly toasted bread! Chikichanga - think of a chimichanga/fajitaish beauty wrapped in eggs to create a dish loaded with flavor and served with fresh fruit and fresh, seasoned potatoes. Good portion sizes but slightly on the pricey side but then again it is all fresh and tasty. You get what you pay for. Good service too - not an overly friendly waitress but she was attentive. We have found our brunch spot and will be back!

We had a group of 17 for a birthday and they seated us so fast and brought the food out even faster. Mike was the best server I've ever had and took such great care of us. If you ever go be sure to ask for him. All food was delicious and cooked perfectly. I had the lemon ricotta waffles and bacon and we all had the donut holes and it was all amazing. Was traveling to Raleigh on business and First Watch was down from my hotel I was staying. Decided to ditch the usually horrible hotel breakfast and try them out since I saw such great reviews on Yelp. Needless to say I was very please. Lynn service was great from start to finish. Had as you can see the blueberry multi grain pancakes and they were fantastic. Turkey Sausage was ok but it's turkey sausage. Needless to say very please with First Watch and will be a regular when visiting on business to Raleigh. Thanks for the great experience. read more

If I could give half stars this place would get two and a half because it was exactly in the middle. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either just sorta ho hum. Our party was seated fairly quickly. However, it took forever to be acknowledged and waited on. One server approached us, apologized, and said she'd be right with us. Then after several minutes another server came to take our order. We ordered the typical breakfast fair, pancakes for the kids, omelettes, potatoes, and English muffins for the adults. When the food was served we were told the English muffins weren't toasted. Why not? When I'm making eggs. I put the toast in first. It can be toasting while the eggs are cooking then it'll all done at once, Breakfast 101. The omelette was fine, it could've been better seasoned. The "seasoned potatoes" weren't seasoned at all. I'm used to breakfast potatoes being slightly crisp, these were not. We waited and waited and still no English muffins. I was nearly done eating when the server finally came by and I mentioned it her. She had forgotten. She finally brought them by and they STILL weren't toasted. My mom teases me about how I like my toast on the light side. These English muffins must've been in the toaster for all of ten seconds! They were very slightly crunchy and not browned at all. The only thing I can say is that I was left underwhelmed. If given the choice between eating here and making my own breakfast I'll just scramble eggs at home. read more

First Watch always has great service and the food is amazing! I always get the French toast. Tried the green juice as well, and it's very fresh and delicious. I always come to this place and there is always a wait, but it's worth it. The wait is typically less than 30 minutes so please be prepared for that. Once you get to the table, and order your food it comes really quick (usually less than 15 minutes). read more

Had $2 coupon and I thought I would give them second try. First time was ok with the waffles, but this time I ordered the Traditional with seasoned potatoes, turkey sausage and poached eggs. Worst potatoes I've ever had. They were dry and tasteless. Sausage to much better and the eggs were under cooked. I got the server to bring some grits in substitution for the potatoes and they were so so. Over priced for what you get. Server was good .... First visit to this location ordered omelette with the works coffee food was served hot and large portions enough for 2 great coffee but my English muffin was not delivered with my order I had to wait for my server and ask her overall service is lacking here no host on duty or cashier so servers had to cover so for $13 for one person for breakfast I expect friendly service something this place is lacking everyone here was going thru the motions like robots I will visit Glenwood location next time read more

We stopped here after an overnight visit in the area. The food was good with a lot of flavor. I thought the shrimp and grits had a great flavor but was a little drier than I thought it would be. We also had a blueberry pancake which was great also. Even the coffee was good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. We will come back. read more

The food was pretty good! I loved all of the fresh fruit. I had the avocado, bacon, and tomato scramble. The potato's were well seasoned, but needed more bacon, tomato, and avocado. Holy Montecristo !! Breakfast here was great...ordered the classic Trifeca meal and I was very impressed with me Belgian waffle! Unfortunately, my two eggs looked more like one baby chick egg, but at least now I know about the egg portions! When we arrived, there were several people waiting inside and outside to be seated, which gave me an indication that the food was well above average. Surprisingly, after signing in, we only waited 15 minutes! The food took a while to come out, but the food taste and great service made up for anything we felt weary about. I usually go the one on Glenwood and thought I would try this one, I always love how quick they are and usually the food tastes great. But NOT this location! The food was cold and eggs were over cooked! They're was a hair in the waffles and our server only saw us twice, once to take the order and than to give us the check! This is my second time here, the first time the food was amazing. This time the quality definitely went down hill. I started off with a morning meditation which is a delicious juice. It came out with orange juice at the bottom and beet juice at the top so it was very pretty. Then I ordered Smoked Salmon eggs Benedict, this is where everything went down the drain. When my food first came out, everything was cold. I had a side of potatoes and that was cold and the poached egg was also cold. The poached egg didn't run either, it was completely solid. I sent it back and it was very evident that they just microwaved the potatoes, because they were warm but did not taste very good. The poached egg was not severely under cooked and it was extremely runny if not almost raw. I did not enjoy it, our server was very inattentive. When we went to pay, he dropped off the check and told us we had to pay in the front. He then started to apologize for his poor service and that he had not given us any attention because he was too busy. I was literally turned off by this. When you go pay at the cashier stand, she asks you out loud how much you would like to tip, I think this is to embarrass people to tip more. I also had to call out of work Monday because my stomach was super upset, and I believe this was the cause. I don't think I will be returning. read more

The greeter, Tyler (white male with a forearm tattoo), informed my wife and me that there would be a 15-20 minute wait. However, after waiting 30 minutes with no communication, I decided to go inside and check on the status. I discovered that we had been skipped over, as several guests who arrived after us were already seated, eating, and enjoying themselves. When we finally placed our order, my wife, who has a mushroom allergy, specifically requested an omelette without mushrooms. Despite this, the food we received still contained mushrooms. The manager on duty offered us comp cards, but this gesture does not address the unacceptable level of service we experienced. The overall service at this establishment is subpar, and I can no longer recommend this place to anyone. Unfortunately, my wife and I will not be returning, despite it being a spot we looked forward to visiting after church every Sunday. This is extremely disappointing, and I expect a follow-up call or email to address this matter appropriately. read more

Wow they nailed it again! This time I got the new juice that tasted like a mojito and tried the club sandwich that was surprisingly amazing I usually only go there for breakfast but wanted to try lunch today as a side I got the chicken wild Rice soup that was nice and hot on a cool rainy day The perfect quick lunch! read more

It's unfortunate that I didn't like this place better. I live right around the corner and ordered the salmon eggs Benedict carry out. Got there in 10 minutes after the call and spent $16 (including $2 tip). The eggs were over cooked and got 2 of the littlest pieces of salmon I've ever seen. Really upsetting. read more

We were told there was going to be a 20 minute wait for two, we were sat in 2 minutes. Food was delicious and came out fast! Our server was friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable although they were a little busy! Will come back again! read more
