I know it costs a little bit more but look around, they don't serve avocado at 9 am anywhere in 10 miles radius! It's a lovely, fresh, fast and tasty, and a bit unusual breakfast food that will satisfy you. One word for you: skillets. Sizzling crunchy fresh. Service here is fast and very blunt, your waitress is not going to tell you her autobiography and won't ask you about your accent (haircut, mood, criminal record) either, which is just the way I like it. If I come for food, give me food, chatting me up is not gonna feed me, sister. So I am incredibly grateful for the lack of interest in me from the other side of the table. I am wiling to pay extra for that any day. And of course it is all about turnover, so just grab your skillet and get going. I've been to a different First Watch before, and our first visit to the RR location did not disappoint! The menu selection is awesome. I got the avocado toast which was on point. My boyfriend loved his egg sandwich. We both got juices and they tasted fresh and delicious. Great coffee. I love this spot for a balance of healthy and delicious! Brigid was our server and was excellent. We will definitely be back! My only suggestion is to sell the donut holes in smaller quantities because they only come in 13 and that's too many so we had to pass! 4 is a better size for 2 people to share with coffee. read more

Food was yummy, was hoping for more hints of what was described in the menu (ordered the mushroom hash in which there weren't many mushrooms, and truffle oil which was almost non-existent) but our waiter TAYLOR WAS AMAZING! I've been thinking about their Floridian French Toast all day. What I enjoy about First Watch's breakfast dishes are the massive quantities of fresh fruit you get with your meal. I actually feel like I'm eating something healthy that doesn't end up sickly sweet. I think the church crowd concern may be a little overrated. I've been at the Rocky River location the last few Sundays (at different times) and have yet to have a lengthy wait. Service can be a smidge slow, but the calm atmosphere allows you to relax and get into the "take your time" vibe. read more

My husband and I had our first breakfast out since Covid hit. The Rocky River location was following guidelines and we felt very safe. The food (Eggs Benedict and hash) was exceptional. Our service was impeccable. We are happy that our first breakfast venture in over a year was such a spectacular one. I just wanted to comment on my Jul 4th visit to their Beachcliff Market Square location in Rocky River, Ohio. I have never been to that location before and my overall experience was less than satisfying. First, when we entered we had to wait almost 5 minutes for a host/greeter to come to the counter, welcome us and get our name. The place was not busy as we were able to be seated almost immediately after placing our name. Our waitress was very pleasant, but the coffee she brought us tasted burnt. We needed to use a number of sugar and cream packets to mask the taste. We ordered the "Traditional" breakfast with the ham slice and everything tasted overly salty or lacked taste all together. The best part was actually my English muffin. I believe that it was the manager who was the individual who rang us out at the end of our visit. Nobody asked how the food or how our experience was so I decided to write their customer service office. I even included a scanned copy of my cc receipt. After a few emails exchanged, their service rep pretty much said that I should've disclosed this to my server. Oh well.... my bad. read more

I'm a big first watch fan. This is typically a very busy location on the weekends so I tend to go a little earlier than the rush (7:30/8ish). The staff is always very friendly and welcoming especially Sarah R. My perfect weekend starts with a fresh morning meditation juice and avocado toast! I think First Watch is really overpriced for what it is. I had the traditional breakfast that came with 2 eggs, bacon, English muffin and potatoes. I always order eggs over medium and I've never had them cooked properly at first watch. I got over easy watery eggs today. The bacon was crispy and delicious though. My wife and I were regular customers of First Watch. We were okay with spending $30 for breakfast for the two of us because it was convenient to come there after working out at Planet Fitness next door. However, we will no longer be going there. My wife always asked that her potatoes not be overcooked. Despite this, they were consistently burnt and crispy. Often, the bread on her Chicken Salad Melt was also partially burnt. The last straw for us was when our waitress brought over her burnt potatoes and said "they all were like this on the grill so you have to accept them as they are." Actually, we don't. As if this wasn't bad enough, when leaving the restaurant on the same visit, we politely asked if First Watch would be open on Thanksgiving Day. A different waitress replied in a snotty tone: "No. I guess you'll have to cook your own breakfast." Considering that we were loyal customers for many years and were always very patient and kind with the staff there, this behavior was just totally unacceptable. We will no longer go to First Watch at 19340 Detroit Road in Rocky River, Ohio anymore. We drive down the street to Claudette's where the breakfast is cheaper, the food is not burnt, and the staff doesn't have a snotty comment when we ask a simple question. read more

First Watch has good (pricey) food, but the experience is usually marred by a partly unfriendly staff. Some are great; some are not. The ones that are not give off a really unpleasant arrogance. Food runners practically slam the food on the table, no "enjoy," or any pleasantry. Some staff get it, they are part of the reason people come out. But every visit here has been damaged somewhat by servers who don't get that public relations keep people coming back. read more

Just had lunch today 4/6/2016. I ordered the veggie burger became the description sounded like it was the best tasting burger in town. Sorry to say, it was absolutely awful. No taste. The only thing that I tasted was sodium in the burger. I eat low-sodium and right away I could taste lots of it in the burger. When I check out at the register, the gentleman ask me how was my meal and I told him that It fell way short of the mark of a good tasting veggie burger. I told him that I like the brand veggie burger called Beyond Meat. The other person standing next to him said that they don't order that one but a much cheaper one. I have eaten at First Watch in Westlake at Crocker Park many time and a few times at this one and enjoy my meal. The reason for my post is that they need to order quality veggie burgers that match the description on the menu. read more

Great place for a quick healthy breakfast. Went with colleagues after a meeting. Good service and well prepared food a plus. I ordered the egg white omelet and picked my own toppings- very tasty!!!! My colleagues had not been previously been to here but were pleasantly pleased with the dining experience. My only rub was the bee "visitors" on the patio- they need to spray !!!! While my calorie counting fanaticism consumed me- and I elected egg whites- I will definitely be having French toast my next go round- it was very appealing to the eye. read more

The management here sucks and needs to obviously change. We waited over 45 min to be seated after joining the online waitlist 20 min prior to that. It was a Sunday and busy so whatever, I understood. BUT we waited over an hour for our food and after seeing other people seated before us still waiting for their food we decided to not even wait any longer and leave. The couple seated by us shared the frustration as not only did they also wait over an hour for their food but she got something she didn't order, the food was ice cold, and her potatoes were burnt black. We saw food after food being sent back for being cold or not the right order and that absolutely cannot happen when everyone's been already waiting over an hour since ordering. Our waitress was however very nice and even informed us that they complete all DoorDash orders before actual seated customers which makes no sense to me. MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO CHANGE. I've been to other first watch locations on busy Sunday brunch and we have NEVER waited anywhere near over an hour. read more

I went and had breakfast this morning with my girlfriend and I had the chille chorizo omelette and in the sour cream was a black hair and i noticed it half way into my meal and it makes me think , are they cooks wearing masks? This may have been my worst First Watch experience. The check-in process was confused and it took 5 minutes to get my name on the edit list. The table was dirty when we got seated, and there was syrup on the bench seat. Something was floating in the jar of water so that got sent back. Seemed to take exceptionally long for the food to arrive, then my daughter's dairy-free meal had my buttered toast on it dripping onto her food so that had to be remade. Individually they might not have been a problem, but they added up to a disappointing brunch. read more

'First Watch' is truly a godsend! We have been coming here weekly for years, and have consistently obtained excellent, attentive service and food. We make the drive from North Olmsted when we want to sit down and have a real breakfast, instead of just grabbing a quick bagel at Einstein's or Bruegger's. Just like your typical diner or 'family restaurant', the prices are fair, and the portions plentiful. This place really does have a local, family owned warm atmosphere, and the friendly competent servers always know how to cater to our finicky child as well. In addition, it's the small touches that speak volumes, such as the clean bathrooms, free coffee in the waiting area, and the nice variety of flavored coffee creamers and jellies available. This most excellent place never fails to put a smile on my face, and this comes from a stickler for quality (that's ME), no less! read more
