This is probably my 5th time eating here.... Today I had the Chicken Salad and I know this may sound strange BUT it was Awesome!!! Came in for a late breakfast/early lunch. Service was fine, but the food was VERY average. I had the Acapulco Express omelet (with chorizo, cheese, green chiles, avocado, and sour cream). Eggs were rubbery, and there was absolutely no chorizo to be found. The omelet also contained quite a few diced tomatoes, which weren't listed as an ingredient at all. My father had the Beefeater sandwich with a Cobb salad. The salad was pretty standard, but the bread on the sandwich was covered on the outside by a thick layer of what appeared to be congealed beef fat. It had more parmesan and waxy shredded cheese than beef, and the horseradish had almost no flavor. Like I said, the service was fine, but if you want breakfast you're better off going to Bob Evans down the street for half the price. read more

Very unhappy with breakfast. Came cold but bacon was crisp the way I requested they take it away did bring another back fast, one egg broke,bacon hot but not crisp and no toast. 5 minutes later bring toast. I had told waiter who was very nice not to bother to make a second plate but some girl came by and insisted I let them remake. Next time I will not let them hurry and remake it a second time and end up with a meal I did not eat anyway. read more

We went her for a morning breakfast to finish up a week long vacation after visiting a friend that graduated from MSU. This place has a homey feel and we were welcomed immediately and although the place was packed, we were sorted almost immediately. There is a wide selection of food and it's all fresh and organic and well worth the price. It was so delicious. I had a scramble and I couldn't stop eating. The waitress, I believe her name was Amy, was wonderful and knew we needed checks split. When we were ready to leave, she offered coffee in to go cups and knew which creamer I liked and that my fiancé wanted his black. She was wonderful to speak with and we definitely want to come for the excellent food and customer service. read more

This is my go-to breakfast and brunch spot. I am never disappointed when I come here. The market hash is so delicious, I crave it all the time. All the servers are really nice as well. I love the variety they put into the menu with seasonal favorites and drinks from the juice bar. read more

This was my first visit , The server ( la shana ) I believe was her name ,was very hospitable and chipper . Great customer service. She had noticed a piece of jewelry I was wearing and commented how nice it was . I had ordered the Ultimate Italian omelette which had Italian sausage and roasted tomatoes. The flavor was great . If and when I am in the area again , I will revisit this location . If I knew people that lived in the area I would definitely recommend this establishment. read more

The food does not match the decor ! You walk in is inviting , bright and clean. Unfortunately my experience only headed south from there. Eye contact and conversation were in short supply . I ordered the biscuits and gravy with turkey sausage .! The biscuits were average . Eggs were average. The home fries were average, while some were scorched and some undercooked . The biscuits and gravy was bland. There was no sausage to speak of, although I did no bring a magnifying glass to breakfast. It was underwhelming to say the least. The good news they were busy! Location, location, location . If you are a breakfast lemming , then you should be fine . If you travel and have exposure ,or want something more than you can produce on your own then search for more. read more

I'm starting to worry about the quality of yelp reviews, this is a good example. This place is a chain. It's a step up from Denny's. The orange juice is tropicana from concentrate. It's in a mall. Looked this up on Yelp! On our way through St. Louis. First time here and it was awesome. Food was very good and friendly service. Would recommend this to anyone. Food is locally sourced where possible and they have fresh pressed veggie juices if you like that. Best restaurant meal we had on our short trip. read more

Not impressed. As a person who is very concerned with people making "healthier options" when they eat, the copious amounts of garbage and processed food lining the shelves of their open kitchen is a huge turn off! Our waitress was so odd and the food was mediocre at best. Our coffee pot left at our table was filthy and the over priced fresh fruit was under ripe. Went in a couple of weeks ago. Worst meal ever. I was very much disturbed by a man yelling in the back obscenities at the top of his lungs. I heard him say that he doesn't pay Mexicans to be lazy. We asked the waitress for to go containers and as we were walking up to pay, I overheard another customer complain to his server about the same man. She said that she was sorry but she couldn't say anything to him because he was " Dave" the big district boss. This man complaining was seated at the very entrance to the restaurant very far away from the kitchen so that should tell you how loud the man in back was being. The food here lately is sub par and it used to be one of my favorite places. I will not go back again. read more

Today was our second visit to a First Watch on our St Louis vacation. Both locations are well run. Cleanliness and service both solid. Waffles and French toast both delicious. Served with warm maple syrup. The chorizo egg tacos were great, served with beans. They have many breakfast choices from not-so-healthy to good for you. Kids menu. read more

Someone recommended this place to me and I have eaten here four times last two weeks. Food is really good if you like breakfast fair and it's very healthy options for example i get the rustic Omelette with the side salad. really delicious and healthy. I was hesitant to try this place again as I have been several times. I always feel it's okay, just a breakfast/brunch/lunch place. However today was different. I devoured my waffle which was light and crispy. It was served with delicious smoked bacon, yum. My friend had the bacon avocado hash dish, that she loved. I take grits seriously, so when I saw FW offering them I was excited to try them. However, First Watch does not treat the Southern delicacy with respect. We were offered two bowls of unceremonious saw dust. Avoid these at all cost. They are instant grit packets emptied into a bowl and slightly dampened with Luke warm water. I'm at first watch trying to eat what I thought would be a good breakfast, wrong. I asked for scrambled eggs with American cheese and was told they had American cheese and they do not and was charged $1.59 for their cheese, wrong, bacon is hard and tough, potatoes hurt my teeth to chew, the pancake was terrible. Great service even though it gets really busy. Food is top notch. This is a very good place for breakfast or lunch...they aren't open for dinner. My sisters and I go here about once a month to talk and laugh about life. The servers are always quick to refill or provide anything else we need, and are very positive people.
