It is time for the Last Supper. My daughter and son-in-law are headed back. For some reason, they decided to leave on a day I have to work. I want to see them before they leave, so it is First Watch for lunch. I have never had lunch at First Watch before. The furniture at the Tri-County First Watch is hard. Metal tables with hard wood counters are not comfortable, but I came for the food. I had breakfast already, so I will try a lunch item., The Roast Beef & Havarti sounds good. The garlic sauce takes it to a higher level. My wife had the Trifecta, her normal breakfast favorite. My daughter had the Elevated Egg with Kale Tonic and thought it was great. My son-in-law had the Honey Pecan Salad and thought it was great. The service was timely and nice. She offered to take our picture, but the son was to our back and made the picture not come out well. My experience at this First Watch location was fine. I ordered the Morning Market Veg Omelette with a side of greens. It was good, comparable to other locations. The service was friendly and prompt. I'm only going with 3/5 stars though because the prices seemed high for sides and drinks, and the restrooms were closed. The women's was out of order and the men's was occupied with some sort of maintenance. I understand things can happen, but restrooms are important and should be a priority just in terms of general hospitality. It would have been considerate to ensure at least one restroom was made available to customers. read more

We joined the waitlist on the way and still had about a 20 minute wait after we got there. It was busy but it's super efficient at the front and people are seated fairly quickly. We both ordered Iced Coffee. It is delicious! My daughter has had them before and recommended it. One of the best iced coffees either of us have had. We stopped in here when we were on our way to Jungle Jim's in Fairfield Ohio and we are glad that we did. We were seated promptly when we went in even though they were pretty busy. Our waitress came to the table promptly and took our drink order and explained the menu and specials. She returned with piping hot coffee and took our order. We both ordered the same which was a smoked salmon and roasted vegetable frittata. The frittata had smoked salmon roasted shallots and tomatoes with parm and a chive cream drizzle. It had a nice crusty ciabatta toast on the side, I love crusty bread! There was also a fresh side salad which until recently I had never thought of having with breakfast but it totally works. We really like this place and our waitress did a perfect job. Went here while we were in Cincinnati. The food was amazing, and they had many options that were healthy and/or gluten free. We had an appetizer of Million Dollar Bacon. Whether it's a sweet treat like pancakes or a fresh, healthy option like egg whites and veggies they've got options for everyone! Their coffee is fresh and they have quite a selection of handcrafted juices too! Its a very busy spot so sometimes there's a little wait but usually not much at all! The servers are typically friendly though there hostess stand does seem to get a bit overwhelmed with the rushes at times (I might suggest that they have the servers take your payments rather than people forming a line to check out while there's also a line to be seated). They had a watermelon drink with beets, English cucumbers, and carrot with a touch of lime blended together. And 'oh my' that was so refreshing and flavorful. I guess I was going for a bit of a healthy meal with the Siesta Key Cocktail - yogurt, fruit, and granola - but (a) that bowl was huge and (b) that Banana Crunch pancake on the side didn't help matters. So I order the gruyere melt sandwich 2 times and choose my add ons. I add extra tomato but when I pick up my order it never has the extra tomato that I paid extra for. The sandwich already comes with tomato so whoever is reading the order is not comprehending that EXTRA tomato is added.
