A Sunday in the Woodlands started great with our first visit to First Watch. First of all, the coffee they serve is just incredible and so much better than what we could of gotten at a Starbucks. So first order of business is to order a hot, pot of coffee. Folks ordered the cinnamon pumpkin roll special and I ordered a skillet dish with corned beef hash on the side plus eggs over easy. Overall the dish came out piping hot and it was so tasty. Eggs were cooked the right way and the waitress kept pumping the coffee. As far as their monthly special, it was delicious, gooey and just the amount of sweetness. If you're feeling like you need to feed the sweet tooth, go for it, you won't regret it. PRO TIP: There are two ways to enter the restaurant. If you're using the handicap parking, that door is the quickest to use. read more

First watch has delicious breakfast/brunch classics and great selection of drinks. I enjoy checking out their seasonal menu that they always change throughout the course of the year. They have managed to take a simple breakfast sandwich and elevate it to the point of it being the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had in my life. This is one of the best breakfast/brunch chain restaurants I've been to. I've never been disappointed every time I've come. I came here on a late Sunday morning and as expected, it was pretty busy. I didn't have to check in super early ahead of time through my phone because when I got there to check in, the wait was maybe only like 5-10 minutes long. Not bad at all! They do offer both indoor and outdoor seating, but there seems to be limited outdoor seating. It's located in an area with plenty of parking. My friends and I got the following: -single chocolate chip pancake (It's HUGE. We shared it at our table) -million dollar bacon (10/10 would recommend. The meal comes with two pieces of toast, a side of leafy greens, and a drink but I opted out for the drink and got my order for just under $13. For some reason though, the Belgian waffle tasted really salty. I would have told our waitress, but she barely passed our table and didn't come by to ask how the meal tasted. Such a yummy spot for Sunday brunch! We loved coming here. Especially because we used the app to save a table and got to sit down right when we arrived! The only little complaints are 1. Soooo much avocado on the avocado toast. I had to scrape off a lot of it. That being said, I rather have too much offered than not enough! 2. Our server was quite slow. However, we went Sunday after church and were seated in the thick of the Sunday rush. I totally understand that it was busy though. This is our second time at a FW restaurant and our first time at this location. The service was excellent and I was happy to find out they have a pet friendly patio area. That's usually a plus for us as we are almost always with our GSD on tow. My husband and daughter ordered items they've ordered before and there were no complains there. I, however, ordered what they call a chickichanga (not sure if I spelled that they way they do). It's basically a burrito stuffed with chicken, ground beef, avocado, pico, and a few other things. The concept sounded appealing until I got the dish. It does not look appealing at all. The burrito is drizzled with a yellow sauce, looks like cheese but it didn't taste like cheese. I think the sauce overpowered the entire flavor of the burrito. Then there's a big dollop of four cream right on top. I love sour cream, but for this dish in specific I think it's something they should provide as a condiment on the side. As for the sauce, I think it had way too much of it. They should tone it down a little. All in all, it's a good place to eat with amazing healthy options, which is hard to find around. read more
