This place is a little gem. So good we ate there twice during my quick 3 day visit. (Would have been 3 times but we go there late one day). The half sandwich w/ salad special was filling & very fresh. The coffee was outstanding and the ice tea was yummy too. The staff was so nice. First Watch always has great servers and consistent quality food. We are happy to have a smaller version here in Venice! The avocado toast is amazing! I have enjoyed several other menu items for lunch as well. Salads here are fresh and delicious. The decor is also really nice. Best eggs Benedict in Gulf Coast Florida!! Pile of shaved ham on a homemade English muffin, thin slices of fresh tomatoes, two perfectly poached organic eggs and yummy hollandaise sauce. I chose a fruit cup instead of hash browns, just to save on calories. I also started the meal with a glass of kale juice!!! It was sweet from apples and very delicious. I really like this place. We finally stopped here while almost running into it when doing some Xfinity equipment exchange (least favorite experience) right next door. I had the Bacocada omelette, my wife had a scramble. Service was quick, food was perfect (not at all greasy like many breakfast places). Very nice menu selections. Had to leave first watch-as we could not get waited on. At least Norma jeans appreciated our business. We entered about 2pm today and since no one seated us and there was no sign to wait for seating, we sat down at a table. We soon noticed that others who came in after us were being waited on and we did not even have menus. One waitress did seem to glare at us as she walked by, so I took the hint and left. read more

I had been to the First Watch in Sarasota a long time ago and now we have one in Venice. I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful everything was. I had heard it was noisy but at almost 9am it was not too bad and easy to carry a conversation. The food was terrific and service fast and efficient. I had the lemon ricotta pancakes and my nephew had the eggs Benedict and the portions were huge. The pancakes were the lightest I have ever had and my nephew scarfed down his Benedict! I was so excited to see that there was a First Watch in the Venice area. We have one near us near in Kennesaw, GA. It's our favorite breakfast restaurant ever. I have enjoyed their veggie omelet and quinoa bowl. Both are amazing! Their whole grain toast is the best! And the jam served with it is yummy. You won't be disappointed in the coffee. I was on my way to an appointment and decided if everything went perfectly my daughter and I could make my appointment. We were seated immediately even though it was very busy. Our waitress, Adrienne, was awesome. We told her we were on a tight schedule. She took our order immediately and we had our food promptly. Before we were done our meal, she left our bill because she knew we were pressed for time. Also, my husband just stated to me, maybe I want a cup of coffee and a passing waitress overheard him and brought coffee. I go here often and the service has always been good but our waitress went above and beyond in helping us meet our appointment and enjoying our lunch. Thanks Adrienne and First Watch. read more

Excellent!!! I am from Ohio and visiting with friends who are locals. They raved about this place and after eating here, I whole heartedly agree. The food was soooo good! I had the Trifecta which included 2 eggs, Belgian waffle and sausage. The eggs were done to perfection with over easy. The only problem that I had was that my plate came late and the waffle was barely warm. The manager offered to make me another one but I refused. He immediately took my meal off of the check and gave my friends a gift card for a future visit. Wow!!! Talk about excellent customer service! The price was very reasonable and the portions were very generous. I would definitely come back the next time I am in town. read more

Love everything about it I love the fact that they use a lot of recycled products. The food was delicious the pancakes are huge I have banana granola pancakes which were delicious and very large I would suggest ordering one unless you're exceptionally hungry. read more

We are all so happy to finally have our own First Watch in Venice! It was about time :-) I waited a few days after they opened to give it a try. As much as I love First Watch and everything they stand for, this "little location" still needs some time to iron out the kinks. Just as the other patron mentioned: it is extremely loud at this location. And unless some smart designer comes in and does something about that, this will not change. So that is one, we might have to live with. It's definitely not a place to go and have a business lunch. Carrying a conversation is very hard in there. So even a private outing gets very exhausting, when you are trying to exchange the latest Venice gossip with your best friend. The food came out slow, but was delicious. The service was alright, nothing to brag about but also not terrible. I think this will get better with time. Also, since Venice is so "restaurant deprived" I'm extremely surprised that First Watch didn't build a larger location here. You guys had all the room when building this place from scratch. What happened? Why such a small dining room? Which is another reason I don't go there after 8:30am...it gets crazy in there. And I don't think this will change anytime soon. First Watch is known for the long lines :-) Good luck guys. We are happy you are here! Just wish you had more room and some more decoration to tune down the noise. read more

After a less than satisfactory first visit, due to noise and slow service, a couple of weeks ago my wife and I went back this morning for our second visit which proved to be very much worthwhile. The noise level was not bothersome this time and delivery time of the food once the order was taken was good. We enjoyed this second visit and will return. Here is a suggestion, if I may: When poached eggs (which were delicious) are served they should be accompanied with a spoon so one doesn't have to use their coffee spoon to eat the poached eggs.
